Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to an interlocking type plastic tile structure, especially to an interlocking type plastic tile structure which is simple in assembling and precise in insertion and alignment by the formation of protruding tongues and notches capable of interlocking.
- 2. Brief Description of the Prior Art
- The adhering structure of ordinary plastic tile, as shown in
FIG. 5 , substantially has printed layer between a main body (51) and a transparent leather (54), and the printed layer further includes a PVC leather material (52) and a printed pattern layer (53). The main body (51) is essentially formed by the mixing of PVC powder, calcium carbonate and toughening agent (DOP). The printed pattern layer (53) can be printed either on the bottom face of the transparent leather (54) or on the surface of the PVC leather material (52). Hot pressing is conducted on the main body (51), the PVC leather material (52), and the transparent leather (54) so that they are integrated and combined together to form plastic tile. The plastic tile thus formed is a piece of square or rectangular body which is then adhered on the floor piece by piece. However, the plastic tiles are apt to become oblique during adhesion by this method. - In view of the above defect, the structure disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 7,155,871 B1 is proposed, as shown in
FIGS. 6 and 7 , in which a surface layer (6) and a base layer (61) to be adhered on the floor are essentially provided. The surface layer (6) and the base layer (61) are combined in staggered state such that the protruding portions (60), (62) are formed on two adjacent sides of the surface layer (6) and the base layer (61). An adhesive layer (63) is provided on the upper end surface of the protruding portion (62) of the base layer (61) and a release paper (64) is provided on the adhesive layer (63). - When plastic tiles are adhered in construction site, the base layer (61) of a plastic tile is adhered to the floor first, and then the release paper (64) is peeled apart from the adhesive layer (63) of the protruding portion (62) of the base layer (61). Thereafter, the protruding portion (60) of the surface layer (6) of another plastic tile is adhered with respect to the adhesive layer (63) of the protruding portion (62) of the base layer (61). In this manner, the plastic tiles can be adhered in order till finish.
- However, this method has following shortcomings:
- 1. The protruding portions of the surface layer and the base layer are bigger in areas; this will cause bigger allowance of adhering two plastic tiles together so that there is bad alignment on plastic tiles. Eventually, the entire floor is not beautiful.
- 2. Release paper for protection purpose has to be provided on the protruding portion of the base layer having bigger area when manufacturing the plastic tile. Thus, manufacturing cost is high in this case.
- In view of the above shortcomings, inventor of this invention proposes an interlocking type plastic tile structure according to the research and improvement conducted on conventional structure and its defects, based on profound experience in R&D and manufacturing in relevant field, with a purpose to achieve better performance value in practical application.
