Abstract
Description
- a. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates generally to multilayered protective carrier packs for at least one tactical device (in some cases, especially a gas mask) and a plurality of flexible disposable handcuffs. Historically, military, police, special operations personnel and others carry separate pouches or packs with such items as gas masks, grenades, incendiary devices, diversion devices (known as “flash-bangs”), weapons, radio and first aid kits. This practice creates problems, such as available space, accessibility, and resulting clumsiness. The present invention takes note of the newly developed compact disposable plastic handcuffs and there compactness, and couples that with a synergistic arrangement that allows personnel to carry a single pouch in which two or more items are combined and one item further acts as a protective layer for the other item(s). More specifically, in the present invention packs, a row of cuffs inserted around the inside periphery or part of the periphery of the pack provides quick and ready access to the cuffs, yet the cuffs act as a springy cushion layer to protect one or more tactical devices within the pack.
