Description

  • The present descriptive report relates to a Utility Model Patent which describes a new constructive embodiment package introduced for food packaging and, more particularly, a package to package “sushi”, which presents a constructive solution that enables the food (“sushi”) to be packaged in a more effective way, which, after open, serves as a tray from which the food can be directly consumed.
  • The current state of the technique comprises some simple models of packages for “sushi”, and the most common defined as a produced tray, for instance, in expanded polystyrene, popularly known by the brand “isopor” [Styrofoam], and such tray, after receiving a certain number of “sushis”, is then wrapped by a plastic film.
  • This regular package type for “sushi”, widely used in selling points, such as markets, grocery stores and others, does not represent, in particular, an effective type of package .
  • Other types of packages, also used aiming to package “sushi”, do not appear to be totally stable, and they may fall down even when the package is inclined at less than 180°, such an undesirable fact.
  • Another negative aspect verified in the packages for “sushi” packaging belonging to the state of the technique is related to the fact that they are not able to retain the food's natural moisture, a fact that makes the food to lose some of its original characteristics over time.
  • It is also a negative aspect verified in “sushis” packages belonging to the current state of the technique, the fact that they are not designed in accordance to the environmental guidelines, and some of the current packages are even produced with plastic, or when produced with paper, they exceed the minimum weight aiming at compensating a smaller resistance of the material by applying thicker pieces of the paper.
  • Most of such conventional packages still have problems of leakage of liquid in the form of sauces and the like, a fact totally undesirable in terms of the product presentation to the consumer.
  • In fact, there is no package for “sushi” up to date that meets the requirements of properly protecting the food; providing the possibility of a broad view of the food, even when it is comprised inside the package; being able to directly serve as a tray from which the food can be effectively consumed; and also meeting the design requirements regarding ecological concerns.
  • Regarding this state of the technique the present Utility Model Patent was developed, which offers a new constructive embodiment package introduced for foods packaging, and it is preferably designated, but not limited to, to be use in packaging foods such as “sushi” and the common like to the Japanese, Chinese and others cuisine.
  • The package hereof is defined by a base which presents a rectangular shape and comprises a cover also rectangular, and the base incorporates, around itself, a frame that protects the local inner space where the food is packaged. The cover used to close the package has a large transparent window, which enables the perfect visualization of the food inside the package.
  • The object package of this Utility Model Patent will be particularly described with reference to the drawings related below, in which:
  • FIG. 1 illustrates an exploded perspective view, wherein such package frame and the cover are pictured mutually apart;
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of the package hereof when totally closed;
  • FIG. 3 illustrates a sidelong view taken according to the indicated by any of the “A” arrows on FIG. 2;
  • FIG. 4 illustrates a cutaway view taken from FIG. 2, such as the indicated by cutaway line “A”-“A”, and such cutaway is equally depicted in the cutaway along its length;
  • FIG. 5 illustrates a plain view of the cover of the present package; and
  • FIG. 6 illustrates a plain view of the frame that integrates the package hereof.
  • According to what the figures above related show, the package for food packaging object of this Utility Model Patent, and that is indicated, generally, by the numerical reference 1, such as what is specifically indicted in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4, is defined by a base 2, which is obtained from a slide card 3 or other suitable material.
  • The slide card 3 incorporates, on each of its four sides, parallel grooves 4 that create a surrounding face 5, which presents vertical walls 6, such vertical walls 6 present the corresponding grooves 4 that create adjacent plain sectors 7, which have interlocking spots 8, such as indicated specially in FIGS. 1 and 2.
  • The interlocking spots 8 are created by insertion flaps 8A provided in two of the adjacent plain sectors 7 mutually opposed, which are properly introduced in corresponding cuts 8B provided in the other two adjacent plain sectors 7 also mutually opposed.
  • The adjacent plain sectors 7 define, generally, a rectangular plain shape 9, as particularly shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4.
  • The adjacent plain sectors 7 present, each, an inner wall sector 7A and its respective inner wall sector 7A′, that are particularly visible in FIGS. 1, 4 and 6.
  • The inner wall sectors 7A are vertically positioned in relation to the bottom 2A of the base 2 of the package. Such inner wall sectors 7A have, each, the respective complementary sectors 7B, which are positioned against the bottom wall 2A of the base 2, and may be better observed in FIG. 4.
  • By interconnecting the walls 6 of the base 2, corner flaps 6A are provided, which have, each, an oblique groove 6A′, which works together with the complementary grooves 4A, which are the extension of the grooves 4.
  • The corner flaps 6A which define, when the base 2 is fully mounted, barriers that prevent liquids leakage out of the present package since when the base 2 is mounted, the complementary grooves 4A of each corner flap 6A tend to be positioned continuously, and this makes the oblique groove 6A′ to project such corner flap 6A into the base 2.
  • Inside the central area of the rectangular plain shape 9 a space 10 is defined, where an also rectangular cover 11 is tightly fitted, which is also defined by a surrounding face 12, that presents vertical walls 13 defined by parallel grooves 14, and such grooves defining a flap 13A on each of the cover walls 11.
  • Corner flaps 15 are provided on each vertex of the cover 11, and such corner flaps 15 have an oblique groove 15A.
  • The corner flaps 15 are also defined by complementary grooves 14A, which are particularly pictured in FIG. 5.
  • The cover 11 presents a large window 16, which is properly closed by a transparent plastic film sector 17, which protects the “sushi” S unities inside the package, without hiding its perfect visualization.
  • For purposes of illustration and to the perfect understanding of the usage manner that features the package proposed by this Utility Model Patent, the “sushi” S units presented in FIG. 1 are depicted in a schematic manner and by dashed lines.
