Description
- The present invention relates to a hair curling iron that compresses and heats hair to create various waves or curls in hair wholly or partially and, more particularly, to a hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes, in which a plurality of heat pads may be provided inclined in a lower cover and, at the same time, a rotating roller is attached/detached or fixed to an upper cover, having various shapes such as a circle, quadrangle, hexagon, octagon, etc. so that the hair may come in contact between the heating pads and the rotating roller of various shapes, thus creating various hairstyles more effectively.
- In general, hairstyles are an important part of the appearance in women and are utilized as means of showing their aesthetics sufficiently by changing the hairstyles in accordance with their dresses and places at all times. The importance of the hairstyles becomes serious to pursue their aesthetic interests and the capability of expressing one's individual character is judged according to the hairstyle created. Accordingly, it is a well-known fact that women endeavor to express their aesthetic sensibilities with their hairstyles.
- A hair curling iron that is one of the beauty tools is divided into upper and lower portions, in which a curling portion with a semicircular cross-section including a heater means, a heat generating means and a curling tool is provided, respectively. The upper and lower curling portions are opened centering on a hinge of one side thereof. A heating pad for generating heat by electricity is mounted in each of the upper and lower curling portions. Moreover, the surface layers of the respective heating pads have various winding shapes such as a round cross-sectional shape, a triangle cross-sectional shape, etc. so as to create various hairstyles by the heat generated while the hair passes through the upper and lower curling portions in accordance with the various winding shapes. With such a hair curling iron, it is possible for women to express their individual characters and aesthetic interests as described above.
- However, such a conventional hair curling iron has a problem in that it requires a large storage volume and it does not utilize the storage space efficiently when it is not used, since the upper and lower curling portions thereof maintain opened centering on the hinge by elastic force of a spring provided therein at all times.
- In order to solve such an inconvenience, various kinds of hair curling irons have been developed and used. Of them, a hair curling iron was proposed in Korean Patent Application No. 2005-0020881 filed on Mar. 14, 2005 and entitled “A HAIR TOOL HAVING AN APPARATUS FOR LOCKING.” The above hair curling iron was developed aiming at maintaining upper and lower covers closed when it is not used, thus facilitating the storage and minimizing the volume during transportation of the product.
- However, the conventional hair curling irons including the above related art are configured to have various winding shapes on the surface layers of the heating pads provided on the upper and lower curling portions to create various hairstyles by the heat generated when the hair passes through the upper and lower curling portions in accordance with the various winding shapes. Here, only with the various winding shapes provided on the surface layers, it is difficult to create various hairstyles in effect.
- Moreover, although it is possible to express a simple hairstyle, it still has a problem in that the thus created hairstyle may not be maintained continuously.
- Furthermore, since the heat pads of the conventional hair curling irons are not attached and detached, it has a further problem in that, if one of the upper and lower curling portions would be damaged, the whole hair curling iron would be no longer used.
- Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes, in which a plurality of heat pads is provided inclined in a lower cover and, at the same time, a rotating roller is included detachably on an upper cover having various shapes such as a circle, square, hexagon, octagon, etc. so that the hair may come in contact between the heating pads and the rotating roller of various shapes, thus creating various hairstyles more effectively.
- Moreover, another object of the present invention is to provide a hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes, in which the rotating roller can be replaced in accordance with a user's taste to express a desired hairstyle.
- Accordingly, a further object of the present invention is to provide a hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes, by which it is possible not only for an experienced beauty artist but also for an individual to express a variety of hairstyles with various curls.
- To accomplish the object of the present invention, there is provided a hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes including an
upper cover 1 and alower cover 2, in which theupper cover 1 is rotated by ahinge portion 3, and a heat generating portion including a heater generating heat formed in the upper andlower covers - an
upper cover 1 including a connectingprojection 10 formed integrally therewith in a state where the front thereof is bent, a receivingportion 12 having afixing rail 11 established therein, atop cover 13 placed in the rear of thereceiving portion 12, and a pressing portion 14 provided in the rear thereof; - a roller fixing means 4 connected by the connecting
projection 10 in thereceiving portion 12; and - a
lower cover 2, established on the lower portion of theupper cover 1 to be faced with theupper cover 1, including a receivingportion 20 formed inside thereof, aheating pad 21 provided on both sides of the receivingportion 20 to be inclined, aceramic heater 22, aheater protection plate 23, acushion spring 24, and abottom cover 25 arranged in the rear thereof. - The hair curling iron having a roller of various shapes of the present invention provides various effects in that it is possible not only for an experienced beauty artist but also for an individual to express a variety of hairstyles with various curls since the shape of the rotating roller is diversified, it provides an effect of facilitating the expression of an hairstyle in accordance with a user's taste since the rotating roller is attached and detached, it prevents the hair curling iron from being damaged by excessive force when being used, and it is possible to express an exact hairstyle in accordance with the user's taste even with a weak force, thus satisfying the users' demand.
