Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a cosmetic applicator, and more particularly to a device designed to be used to get a pressed-powder-type or liquid-type make-up cosmetic and to apply the make-up cosmetic to the face.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Beauty care generally includes a basic skin care step for taking care of the skin by supplying moisture or nutrition to the skin, and a make-up beauty care step for providing a color effect over the skin of the basic skin care.
  • In general, in the basic skin care step, a basic cosmetic, such as, a face lotion, a nutrition cream, a foundation, is applied to the skin by using hands.
  • In the make-up beauty care step, a pressed-powder-type or liquid-type make-up cosmetic is applied to the skin by using a certain cosmetic applicator.
  • FIG. 6 shows an assembled perspective view illustrating one conventional cosmetic applicator.
  • One conventional cosmetic applicator, as shown in FIG. 6, includes a holding portion 111, and a wool application portion 120 coupled with the holding portion 111.
  • The holding portion 111 has one area formed with a fixing hole 111 a.
  • The application portion 120 may be fabricated by the following method.
  • First, wool in a certain amount is tied to form a bundle of wool.
  • Next, the wool bundle is inserted in the fixing hole 111 a.
  • Then, the holding portion 111 is compressed so that the wool bundle can be fixed in the fixing hole 111 a.
  • Meanwhile, although one conventional cosmetic applicator uses wool for forming the application portion 120, the application portion may be fabricated by using a porous material, such as a sponge, as shown in FIG. 7.
  • FIG. 7 shows an exploded perspective view illustrating another conventional cosmetic applicator, and FIG. 8 shows an assembled perspective view illustrating another conventional cosmetic applicator.
  • In a cosmetic applicator having an application portion 120′ made from a porous material, a holding portion 111′ has a support plate 111a, and the application portion 120′ is coupled with the holding portion 111′ in such a manner that it surrounds the support plate 111a.
  • However, a conventional cosmetic applicator has had a problem that a complicated fabrication process is required, because a contact portion 121 is fabricated by tying up wool in a bundle and compressing the wool bundle, or the holding portion 111′ is formed in such a manner that it can include the support plate 111a.
  • Also, in getting a make-up cosmetic on the contact portion 121, some of the make-up cosmetic is filled in a hole of the contact portion or between the strands of wool. Thus, there has been a problem in that after the make-up beauty care, it is difficult to wash off the remaining cosmetic on the contact portion 121. The difficulty in washing off the remaining cosmetic on the contact portion 121 causes a secondary problem, such as the propagation of harmful microbes on the contact portion 121, the shortening of its service life.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and the present invention provides a cosmetic applicator which requires a simple fabrication process and allows the remaining cosmetic on a contact portion to be easily washed off.
  • In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic applicator including: a holding portion; and an application portion which has a plate-shaped contact portion made from a silicon material and fabricated in such a manner that a cross-sectional area of the contact portion gradually decreases as the contact portion becomes more distant from the holding portion, the application portion coupled with the holding portion in such a manner that multiple cosmetic adhesion projections formed on an outer surface of the contact portion are exposed to outside.
  • In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cosmetic applicator including: a holding portion; and an application portion which has a plate-shaped contact portion made from a silicon material and fabricated in such a manner that a cross-sectional area of the contact portion gradually decreases as the contact portion becomes more distant from the holding portion, the application portion coupled with the holding portion in such a manner that multiple cosmetic adhesion recesses formed on an outer surface of the contact portion are exposed to outside.
  • Herein, in order to more stably transfer the make-up cosmetic on the contact portion to the skin, on the contact portion a guide groove is preferably formed in a direction where the cross-sectional area decreases.
  • Also, in order to improve the skin state and to get more of the make-up cosmetic on the contact portion, jade particles or silver particles are preferably stuck on the outer surface of the contact portion.
