Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a billiard panel and a billiard table coupled with the billiard panel.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Billiards is one of popular sports. A billiards outfit includes a billiard table, cues and billiard balls. A conventional billiard panel is made of marble slates, which is heavy and has high cost. During transportation, it is easy to be damaged. The high traffic expense is unfavorable to popularize billiards games. Particularly, the marble slates are hard to maintain the same level with each other when assembly. Users need a professional's help to assemble the panel. After a period of time, the billiard panel may deform due to the weight of the marble slates, which is inconvenient for users.
- The present invention is to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art. The primary object of the present invention is to provide a billiard board which is cost-effective, has a lighter weight, and is not easy to deform. The billiard board applied to a billiard table is easy and convenient for users to assemble.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a billiard panel and a billiard table coupled with the billiard board, which provides waterproof and fireproof functions.
- According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a billiard panel, comprising a medium-density fiberboard, the medium-density fiberboard having openings at the periphery of the medium-density fiberboard, an imitation marble decorative layer being provided on an upper surface of the medium-density fiberboard.
- Preferably, another imitation marble decorative layer is provided on a lower surface of the medium-density fiberboard.
- Preferably, a waterproof layer is provided on a surface of the imitation marble decorative layer.
- Preferably, a fireproof layer is provided on a surface of the imitation marble decorative layer.
- Preferably, the imitation marble decorative layer is made of imitation marble paper, imitation marble polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or imitation marble melamine.
- According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided a billiard table, comprising legs, a cushion rail and a billiard panel, the billiard panel comprising a medium-density fiberboard, the medium-density fiberboard having openings at the periphery of the medium-density fiberboard, an imitation marble decorative layer being provided on an upper surface of the medium-density fiberboard.
- The advantage of the present invention is to provide the billiard panel composed of the medium-density fiberboard and the imitation marble decorative layer to substitute a marble slate, which has a lighter weight compared with the marble slate, is cost-effective and is convenient for transportation. The billiard panel applied to the billiard table will not cause deformation after a period of time and is easy and convenient to assemble without the need for a professional.
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a billiard panel of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of another billiard panel of the present invention; and -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a billiard table of the present invention. - Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- As shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , abilliard panel 10 of the present invention comprises a medium-density fiberboard 1 formed withopenings 2 at the periphery of the medium-density fiberboard 1. An imitation marbledecorative layer 3 is provided on an upper surface of the medium-density fiberboard 1. The imitation marbledecorative layer 3 provides waterproof and fireproof functions. According to the requirement of the market, an imitation marbledecorative layer 3′ is provided on a lower surface of the medium-density fiberboard 1 to achieve better waterproof and fireproof functions. The imitation marbledecorative layers -
FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the billiard panel. Thebilliard panel 10 may be provided with a fireproof layer 4 on the surface of the imitation marbledecorative layer 3 of the medium-density fiberboard 1 to provide a fireproof function. Probably, thebilliard panel 10 may be provided with a waterproof layer on the surface and the circumference of the imitation marbledecorative layer 3 of the medium-density fiberboard 1. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , theaforesaid billiard panel 10 is applied to a billiard table 20 which comprises thebilliard panel 10,legs 21 and acushion rail 22. Thebilliard panel 10 is substantially the same as the aforesaid, which comprises a medium-density fiberboard and an imitation marble decorative layer. The imitation marble decorative layer may be made of imitation marble paper, imitation marble PVC or imitation marble melamine. Furthermore, the surface of the imitation marble decorative layer of the medium-density fiberboard may be provided with a waterproof layer or a fireproof layer. - The feature of the present invention is to provide a billiard panel composed of the medium-density fiberboard and the imitation marble decorative layer, which looks like a marble slate, has a lighter weight compared with the marble slate, is cost-effective and is convenient for transportation. The billiard panel of the present invention applied to the billiard table will not cause deformation after a period of time and is easy and convenient to assemble without the need for a professional.
- Although particular embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
