Abstract
A levitatable adornment assembly includes a shape-convertible object defining an interior cavity; a levitation member disposed within the interior cavity for levitating the shape-convertible object; a lighting unit attached to the levitation member; and an electrical power supply unit being positioned at a predetermined place, the electrical power source unit outputting electrical power to the lighting unit via a conducting wire. The shape-convertible object can float by the buoyancy of the levitation member so that the levitatable adornment assembly can simulate the movement of predetermined objects. Moreover, the lighting unit provides improved lighting effect of the levitatable adornment assembly.
Description
- 1. Field of the invention
- The present invention relates to a levitatable adornment assembly, and more particularly to a levitatable adornment assembly with a gas filled balloon for showing more attractive simulation and adornment on the garden.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- The lawn and garden industry is further and further developed. Now people purchase gardening products and services, and consumers place the greatest value on their gardens for a range of activities and functions. For example, people buy a solid resin or metal figurine in order to decorate their garden. Especially, people assemble some dolls in the garden to celebrate the holiday.
- However, the dolls or the adornments are solid bodies and they are usually in too great size to be transported easily. Some dolls are assembled with a long wood or steal stick which is inserted into the ground. Similarly, length and weight of the stick can not be reduced, therefore, the cost of manufacturing and transportation are high. Further, it's not convenient for a user to preserve the adornments. On the other hand, a kind of inflatable is used for decorating garden. The inflatable has an opening and a blast blower continuously supplies air into the Body through the opening. Thus the garden product in inflatable type requires continue air supply to maintain the shape of the body so that energy consuming is high. Both the fixed doll and the inflatable type have disadvantage in use. Further, some ornaments are hanged on the wall to show the decoration effect. However, the hanged ornaments simply represent still decoration but not simulate the movement of the object. Thus, the traditional adornments fail to show the attractive effect of moving and lighting.
- In view of the shortcomings of the lawn and garden product, the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience in the related field to conduct extensive researches and experiments, and finally developed a levitatable adornment assembly for garden application in accordance with the present invention to overcome the foregoing shortcomings-of the prior art.
- It is a primary objective of the present invention to provide a levitatable adornment assembly, and the levitatable adornment assembly swings smoothly in the air and project lighting illumination in order to perform improved decoration effect.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a levitatable adornment assembly which is made of soft material so that the levitatable adornment assembly can be easily preserved.
- To achieve the foregoing objectives, the present invention provides a levitatable adornment assembly comprising: a shape-convertible object defining an interior cavity; a levitation member disposed within the interior cavity for levitating the shape-convertible object; a lighting unit attached to the levitation member; and an electrical power supply unit being positioned at a predetermined place, the electrical power supply unit outputting electrical power to the lighting unit via a conducting wire.
- With the aforementioned design, the levitatable adornment assembly can float and swing in the air to present improved visible effect.
- To make it easier for our examiner to understand the expected objectives, technical measures and effects of the present invention, we use preferred embodiments together with the attached drawings for the detailed description of the invention, but it should be pointed out that the attached drawings are provided for reference and description only, but not for limiting the present invention.

FIG. 1 ,FIG. 1 sets forth a perspective view of the levitatable adornment assembly constructed in accordance with the present invention and generally designated byreference numeral 1. Thelevitatable adornment assembly 1 performs as the garden and lawn product to provide an improved decoration effects. Thelevitatable adornment assembly 1 comprises a shape-convertible object 10, alevitation member 11, alighting unit 12, a conductingwire 13, and an electricalpower supply unit 14. For the purpose of illustration, thelevitation member 11 and other members that are inside the shape-convertible object 10 shown in dashed-line representation. It is recognized that the shape-convertible object 10 is formed of a light-weight textile or the like and are formed to a variety of shapes.FIG. 1 shows the first embodiment of the present invention and the shape-convertible object 10 is formed as a ghost torso. The shape-convertible object 10 defines aninterior cavity 100 within which thelevitation member 11, thelighting unit 12, and a portion of the conductingwire 13 are disposed. Thelevitation member 11 disposed within theinterior cavity 100 is provided for levitating the shape-convertible object 10. In this embodiment, the shape-convertible object 10 has ahead portion 101, abody portion 103 and twoarm portions 102. Thelevitation member 11 is disposed within theinterior cavity 100 defined by thehead portion 101 for levitating the shape-convertible object 10 in an upright position. - Moreover, the
lighting unit 12, the conductingwire 13, and the electricalpower supply unit 14 provide the lighting effect of thelevitatable adornment assembly 1. Thelighting unit 12 is attached to thelevitation member 11 and the electricalpower supply unit 14 is positioned at a predetermined place. The conductingwire 13 is connected electrically between thelighting unit 12 and the electricalpower supply unit 14 so that the electricalpower supply unit 14 can output electrical power to thelighting unit 12. In the embodiment, the electricalpower supply unit 14 is positioned on the ground and thelevitation member 11 can be held not to float away by the conductingwire 13. In other words, the conductingwire 13 provides not only electrical connection but also holding force to keep thelevitation member 11 from floating away. Concerning the stress concentration, two ends of the conductingwire 13 preferably have a bend, i.e., have the shape of an L to prevent the conductingwire 13 from breaking at the connection between thelevitation member 11 and the conductingwire 13, and between conductingwire 13 and the electricalpower supply unit 14. - Besides the above-mentioned L-shape of the ends of the conducting
wire 13, a supportingmember 15 further contributes to securing the conductingwire 13. The supporting member is located at a predetermined position of the conductingwire 13 and is held by at least twowires 16 that extend obliquely upwards to connect to the shape-convertible object 10. Please refer toFIG. 1B , the supportingmember 15 comprises abase 151, ahole 152 on thebase 151 and at least two first arch-shaped ring member 153 integrally formed with thebase 151. On the other hand, an end of awire 16 is connected to the first arch-shaped ring member 153 and the other end of thewire 16 is connected to a position of the shape-convertible object 10 (for example a shoulder portion). Eachwire 16 is longer than a section of the conductingwire 13 between thelighting unit 12 and the supportingmember 15. Thelonger wire 16 and the supportingmember 15 are constructed as supporting means in order to provide greater force against the stress when the shape-convertible object 10 swings so that the conductingwire 13 is protected. - With reference to
FIG. 1A , thelighting unit 12 comprises aholder 121 and at least onefirst lighting element 122 disposed inside theholder 121. Thelighting unit 12 is attached on thelevitation member 11 in order to project light onto thelevitation member 11. Thelevitation member 11 is preferably made of a transparent material so that the light can be seen. Thelighting unit 12 further comprises an extendingsocket 123 which is electrically connected to the electricalpower supply unit 14 for another electrical element. For example, the shape-convertible object 10 has twosecond lighting elements 122′ at the eye positions. Thesecond lighting elements 122′ are electrically connected with the extendingsocket 123 so that thesecond lighting elements 122′ can illuminate as the sparkle of eye. The first and thesecond lighting elements first lighting elements 122 shown inFIG. 1A are red, blue and green LEDs, and the twosecond lighting elements 122′ are red LEDs. In another embodiment, if the shape-convertible object 10 is a pumpkin-shaped (not shown), thefirst lighting elements 122 can project orange color. -
FIG. 1C shows the perspective view of the electricalpower supply unit 14 and the electricalpower supply unit 14 can be inserted and positioned on the ground. In the embodiment, the electricalpower supply unit 14 is a rectangular box which preserves a battery and a controlling circuit. The battery and the controlling circuit respectively supply power and control the first and thesecond lighting elements power supply unit 14 can be a solar-power power supply unit. The solar-power power supply unit has a chip on the top thereof and rechargeable batteries thereinside for supplying the power of the above-mentioned electronic devices. The controlling circuit includes a motion sensor, illumination sensor or a time controller and another electrical circuit so that the lighting element can project light depending on movement of human (i.e. motion detection) or project light in a time period (i.e. timing control). Furthermore, the electricalpower supply unit 14 has aninsertion structure 141 extending downwardly from the bottom of the rectangular box. Theinsertion structure 141 with a tip is used to insert into ground for fixing the electricalpower supply unit 14 on the ground. There are two second arch-shapedring members 142 on the opposite side of the rectangular box and twoauxiliary insertion members 143 are inserted into the ground. A hook portion of eachauxiliary insertion members 143 hooks the corresponding second arch-shapedring member 142 for fixing the electricalpower supply unit 14 to the ground more steadily. In other words, the arch-shapedring members 142 and theauxiliary insertion members 143 are used as auxiliary insertion means to fix the electricalpower supply unit 14 on the ground. - Please refer back to
FIG. 1 , there areauxiliary levitation members 11′ disposed within the cavity defined byarm portions 102 of the shape-convertible object 10 so that thelevitatable adornment assembly 1 can perform some particular effects. - In accordance with the above-mentioned structure, the
levitatable adornment assembly 1 can be set forth on the lawn or garden. The shape-convertible object 10 is levitated by the floatation of thelevitation member 11 in order to perform a Halloween adornment. In other words, the light-weight shape-convertible object 10 can be floated by the buoyancy of thelevitation member 11. The electricalpower supply unit 14 is steadily fixed on the ground and the shape-convertible object 10 and thelevitation member 11 is essentially held by theconducting wire 13 which connects to the un-levitatable electricalpower supply unit 14. Furthermore, thewire 16 and the supportingmember 15 provide the supporting function and protection for theconducting wire 13. When wine blows, the soft and fabric shape-convertible object 10 swings smoothly for performing some special ornamental and floating effects. On the other hand, the electricalpower supply unit 14 outputs electrical power to thefirst lighting element 122 of thelighting unit 12 to project illumination in order to show the face of the shape-convertible object 10. The electrical power can controlled by the time controller of the controlling circuit so that thelighting element 122 project light in the dark environment for example 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Alternatively, The electrical power can controlled by the motion sensor of the controlling circuit so that thelighting element 122 project light as a person goes pass the shape-convertible object 10. Simultaneously, thesecond lighting elements 122′ project light as the eyesight of the ghost-shaped doll. - During an application, the
lighting unit 12 further has fiber optics (not shown) to improve the lighting effect and the electricalpower supply unit 14 can be a rechargeable battery or a solar-power battery to provide the power for the fiber optics and lighting elements. - Referring to
FIG. 2 for a second preferred embodiment of the present invention, the second embodiment shows another shape-convertible object 10 with different shape. In other words, the shape-convertible object 10 can be any shape for different holidays or decoration, for example angel shape with wings, snow shape or animal shape. In the first and second embodiments, thelevitation member 11 and theauxiliary levitation members 11′ can be helium (He) gas filled balloons and the balloons can be any suitable shape, for example, the balloons inside thehead portion 101 is circular and the balloons in thearm portion 102 is bar-shaped. However, thelevitation member 11 and theauxiliary levitation members 11′ can be any levitatable means for providing the buoyancy to levitate thelevitatable adornment assembly 1. On the other hand, the shape-convertible object 10 can be used for various purposes, such as ornamental dressing, some advertising or special messages. - In summation of the description above, the present invention has the following advantages:
- 1. The
levitatable adornment assembly 1 of the invention provides more living garden product. Thelevitatable adornment assembly 1 can swing naturally in the air and provides the improving lighting effect. - 2. The
levitatable adornment assembly 1 uses soft materials and the elements of thelevitatable adornment assembly 1 can easily preserved and transported. - Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details thereof. Various substitutions and modifications have been suggested in the foregoing description, and others will occur to those of ordinary skill in the art. Therefore, all such substitutions and modifications are intended to be embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Claims (16)
1. A levitatable adornment assembly comprising:
a shape-convertible object defining an interior cavity;
a levitation member disposed within the interior cavity for levitating the shape-convertible object;
a lighting unit attached to the levitation member; and
an electrical power supply unit being positioned at a predetermined place, the electrical power supply unit outputting electrical power to the lighting unit via a conducting wire.
2. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 1 , further comprising a supporting member penetrated by the conducting wire, and at least two wires obliquely extending upwards from the supporting member to connect to the shape-convertible object.
3. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 2 , wherein the supporting member is located at a predetermined position of the conducting wire and each wire is longer than a section of the conducting wire between the lighting unit and the supporting member.
4. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 1 , wherein the lighting unit comprises a holder and at least one first lighting element disposed in the holder.
5. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 4 , wherein the lighting unit further has an extending socket electrically connected to the electrical power supply unit.
6. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 5 , wherein the shape-convertible object further has at least one second lighting element, and the second lighting element is electrically connected to the extending socket.
7. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 6 , wherein the first and the second lighting elements are light emitting diodes (LEDs) or electro luminescent (EL) elements.
8. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 1 , wherein the electrical power supply unit further has a battery and a controlling circuit.
9. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 8 , wherein the -controlling circuit further has a motion sensor or a time controller.
10. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 8 , wherein the battery is rechargeable or solar-powered.
11. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 1 , wherein the electrical power supply unit further has an insertion structure extending downwardly to fix the power supply on the ground.
12. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 11 , wherein the electrical power supply unit further has at least one auxiliary insertion structure.
13. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 1 , wherein the shape-convertible object further has a head portion, a body portion and two arm portions, the levitation member is disposed within the interior cavity of the head portion for levitating the shape-convertible object in an upright position.
14. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 13 , wherein the levitation member further has a plurality of auxiliary levitation members disposed within the interior cavity of the arm portions.
15. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 14 , wherein the levitation member and the auxiliary levitation members are gas filled balloons.
16. The levitatable adornment assembly as in claim 13 , wherein the shape-convertible object is made of textile.
