Description
- The present invention relates generally to the construction industry, and, more particularly, to a building material package for use in construction and repairing of building elements, such as walls and ceiling, in a quick and efficient manner.
- With growing population throughout the world, there has been a corresponding steady increase in the number of residential, industrial and office buildings. Construction of such buildings essentially involves erection of building elements, such as walls and ceilings.
- Typically, construction of such building elements includes applying construction material such as plaster and a joint compound on a building structure. Once the plaster and the joint compound have dried up, paint may be applied thereon for finishing or giving aesthetic look to such building elements. However, application of paint on such building elements may be a time consuming and cumbersome process. Additionally, applying paint on the building elements may increase the overall cost involved in the construction of such building elements.
- Further, with passage of time the building elements usually undergo wear and tear, such as forming cracks and holes. Typically, for repairing such wear and tear portions, a repairing material, such as spackle, caulk or putty may be applied on such wear and tear portions of the building elements. Thereafter, once the repairing material has dried, paint may be applied thereon so as to match an existing color of the building elements. However, such a method of repairing may be time consuming since the repairing material may take substantial time to dry. Moreover, a user may be required to purchase such construction and repairing materials from different locations which may be a time consuming task. Additionally, said method of repairing the building elements may be expensive due to the requirement of repairing material as well as painting after such repair of the building elements.
- Accordingly, there exists a need for a construction material and a repairing material which may be used for construction and repairing of building elements in a quick and efficient manner. The building material package includes a construction material package and a repairing material package. The construction material package includes a construction material admixture. The construction material admixture includes a construction material and a coloring agent. The repairing material package includes a repairing material admixture. The repairing material admixture includes a repairing material and the coloring agent. The construction material is at least one of a plaster and a joint compound. The repairing material is at least one of a caulk, a putty, and a spackle. The coloring agent is capable of imparting a color to the construction material admixture and the repairing material admixture.
- In another aspect of the present invention, a first container and a second container are disclosed. The first container and the second container are capable of holding the construction material admixture and the repairing material admixture therein, respectively.
- In yet another aspect of the present invention, a construction material package is disclosed. The construction material package includes a construction material admixture and a container for holding the construction material admixture therein. The construction material admixture includes a construction material and a coloring agent. The construction material is at least one of a plaster and a joint compound. The coloring agent is capable of imparting a color to the construction material admixture.
