Abstract
An anti-vibration sheet for a cargo container comprises a rectangular sheet and is characterized in that: the rectangular sheet has a front end and a rear end, both bended downwards to form a front bending portion and a rear bending portion, respectively; the front bending portion is attached with a front fastening strap on either side thereof while the rear bending portion is attached with a rear fastening strap on, either side thereof; the rectangular sheet is further attached on either side thereof between the front and the rear bending portions with a plurality of transverse straps spaced at a particular spacing; and a plurality of vertical straps are connected correspondingly to the transverse straps.
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present invention relates to a device for ensuring transportation safety, and more particularly, to an anti-vibration sheet for a cargo container.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Nowadays, a liquid cargo can be stored and transported in a flexible tank that is installed in a cargo container. During transportation, however, the liquid-loaded tank tends to vibrate up and down in the cargo container due to flow inertia of the liquid. Although air bags have been used to prevent or minimize such vibration of the flexible tank, chances are the air bags either yield to the pressure of the vibration or transfer the pressure to a top portion of the cargo container, so that the top portion of the cargo container is easily damaged.
- A known device for preventing vibrations of a flexible liquid tank in a cargo container is an anti-vibration sheet that is mounted at an opening of the cargo container and comprises a rectangular sheet. Two flaps are attached to two lateral sides of the rectangular sheet respectively, wherein each of the flaps is provided with an attaching structure. The rectangular sheet is provided with a strip-like fastening device extending from a top side of the rectangular sheet. The rectangular sheet is further provided with an external vertical steel bar to enhance anti-vibration effects. Nevertheless, during transportation, the anti-vibration sheet having the aforementioned structure still fails to effectively prevent the flexible liquid tank in the cargo container from vibrating upwards and hitting a top portion of the cargo container. As a result, the top portion of the cargo container may be damaged or the flexible liquid tank may rupture.
- In view of the shortcomings of the prior art, it is an objective of the present invention to provide an anti-vibration sheet for a cargo container so as to prevent a flexible liquid tank in the cargo container from vibrating upwards and hitting a top portion of the cargo container during transportation.
- To achieve this target, the present invention provides an anti-vibration sheet for a cargo container, wherein the anti-vibration sheet comprises a rectangular sheet and is characterized in that: the rectangular sheet has a front end and a rear end, both bended downwards to form a front bending portion and a rear bending portion, respectively; the front bending portion is attached with a front fastening strap on either side thereof while the rear bending portion is attached with a rear fastening strap on either side thereof; the rectangular sheet is further attached on either side thereof between the front and the rear bending portions with a plurality of transverse straps spaced at a particular spacing; and a plurality of vertical straps are connected correspondingly to the transverse straps.
- In contrast to existing anti-vibration sheets, the anti-vibration sheet of the present invention is installed directly on top of a flexible liquid tank in a cargo container and can effectively prevent the flexible liquid tank from vibrating upwards, so that a top portion of the cargo container will not be damaged by impacts from the flexible liquid tank.
- In addition, the anti-vibration sheet of the present invention is advantageous in that each of the vertical straps has two ends fixedly connected to metal fasteners installed respectively at an upper end and a lower end of laterally-positioned inner walls of the cargo container, and that each of the vertical straps is further provided with a height-adjustable strap ring for connecting a corresponding one of the transverse straps.
- Further details of the present invention are disclosed in the following description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention and the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic structural drawing of a rectangular sheet according to the present invention (without vertical straps); -
FIG. 2 is a schematic drawing of an anti-vibration sheet according to the present invention; and -
FIG. 3 is a schematic drawing showing application of the present invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , an anti-vibration sheet according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises arectangular sheet 10 having a front end and a rear end, both bended downwards to form a front bending portion 12 and a rear bending portion 14, respectively. - The front bending portion 12 is attached with a front fastening strap 16 on either side thereof while the rear bending portion 14 is attached with a rear fastening strap 18 on either side thereof. The
rectangular sheet 10 is further attached on either side thereof between the front bending portion 12 and the rear bending portion 14 with a plurality of transverse straps 17 spaced at a particular spacing. As shown in the drawings for example, there are five transverse straps 17 on either side of therectangular sheet 10. - According to
FIG. 2 , the transverse straps 17 are each connected to a corresponding one of a plurality of vertical straps 22, and two ends of the corresponding one of the vertical straps 22 are connected to metal fasteners 24 respectively. Referring also toFIG. 3 , the metal fasteners 24 are installed at an upper end and a lower end of two laterally-positioned inner walls of a cargo container 30 respectively. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 and 3 , a height-adjustable strap ring 26 is provided at a junction between each of the transverse straps 17 and a corresponding one of the vertical straps 22. It should be noted that each of the transverse straps 17 is connected to the corresponding one of the vertical straps 22 via the strap ring 26. The front fastening straps 16 on the front bending portion 12 are fastened to groove bars 32 formed on two sides of a door of the cargo container 30 while the rear fastening straps 18 on the rear bending portion 14 are fastened to corner anchors 34 provided on two sides of a rear end of the cargo container 30, as shown inFIG. 2 , so that therectangular sheet 10 is secured in the cargo container 30 above a flexible liquid tank. In other words, therectangular sheet 10 is disposed between a top portion of the cargo container 30 and the flexible liquid tank, as shown inFIG. 3 . Furthermore, as the heights of the strap rings 26 can be adjusted relative to the corresponding vertical straps 22, the present invention allows the position of therectangular sheet 10 to be adjusted according to the size of the flexible liquid tank.
