- 2. Description of Related Art
- A conventional storage basket typically has a main body made of plastic as an integral. Handles may be additionally affixed to the main body or settled against holes formed at opposite sides of the main body. Alternatively, the main body may be formed by welding metal sticks. In this case, the main body without a handle may be attached by wheels or the main body may be additionally affixed with handles. The main body is generally placed on a contacting surface without a proper interval between a bearing surface at a bottom thereof and the contacting surface. Such conventional storage basket is disadvantageous by its undue size and bulkiness, and is unfavorable for being carried when loaded with articles therein.
- Generally, housewives or boarders keep their dirty clothes in laundry baskets for facilitating transporting the laundry to laundries nearby. In such perspective, the conventional storage basket integrally formed by plastic or metal materials is not feasible for being used as a portable hamper or a portable storage apparatus due to its undue size and bulkiness.
- The present invention has been accomplished under these circumstances in view. It is one objective of the present invention to provide a multi-purpose storage basket composed of a main body that is integrally formed from a metal or plastic material and a storage sack. The main body and the storage sack are detachably combined by connecting components for storing articles at a preset site while present an esthetic appearance and provide safe use. At this time, a bearing surface at a bottom of the main body is properly separated from an external contacting surface so as to prevent water, humidity, and grime on the contacting surface from damping or contaminating articles accommodated in the storage basket. When the connecting components are removed, the main body and the storage sack can be separated and used independently so that a user can easily carry the storage sack and the articles contained therein and be free form burdens originating in the weight and volume of the main body. At this time, the storage sack functions as a beauteous, convenient, handy, and environment-oriented portable storage apparatus.
- It is another objective of the present invention to provide a multi-purpose storage basket composed of a main body that is integrally formed from a metal or plastic material and a storage sack wherein the main body and the storage sack are detachably combined by connecting components. Therein, the storage sack has a three-dimensional figure matches that of the main body, so that an entire inner space of the main body can be fully provided through the storage sack for storing purposes. The storage sack may be equipped with a liftable upper cover for shielding and protecting articles stored in the storage basket.
- To achieve these and other objectives of the present invention, the multi-purpose storage basket is constructed from the main body made of metal or plastic and the storage sack that detachably combined by the connecting components. The bearing surface at the bottom of the storage basket is properly separated from a contact surface where it is placed so as to provide a function of preventing water, humidity, and grime from damping or contaminating articles accommodated in the storage basket. Besides, the storage sack can be separated from the main body and used independently.
