Abstract
A method for sealing whereby a key locking mechanism is engaged affixing the upper portion of the bottle cap. A key is used to unlock.
Designed to be used as screw and locking cap on Jurado Tequila bottles. It is made of aluminum and the locking J cylinder is made of metal as is the J-key.
Description
- The four components that comprise the JURADO Cap Lock Assembly, and their discrete functions, are:
-
- 1. The cap top, which fits over the mouth of the bottle.
- 2. The screw, the shaft of which has threads. The screw slides into an integrated hollow column on the side of the cap top and the ring (Part 4) that sits at the base of the cap. The screw is opened by inserting the J key and twisting the key in a counterclockwise motion. This releases the screw from the ring and allows the cap to be removed. The screw remains in the cap top while the bottle is open. The cap is locked by replacing it back on top of the bottle and using the J key to turn the screw clockwise.
- 3. The insert ring is attached to the base of the neck of the bottle, and holds the ring firmly in place.
- 4. The ring is mounted over the insert ring, and contains the threaded terminus for the screw. The ring remains affixed and stationary during product use.
- In the following description of a preferred embodiment of this invention, reference will be made to the accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 The cap top, which fits over the mouth of the bottle. -
FIG. 2 The screw, the shaft of which has threads. -
FIG. 3 The insert ring is attached to the base of the neck of the bottle, and holds the ring firmly in place. -
FIG. 4 The ring is mounted over the insert ring, and contains the threaded terminus for the screw. The ring remains affixed and stationary during product use.
Claims (1)
1. The JURADO Cap Lock, provides two functions: It covers the mouth of the bottle, and it provides an integrated locking mechanism that allows the cap to be affixed to the bottle when not in use. These components' two functions are described as follows:
The screw slides into an integrated hollow column on the side of the cap top and the ring (Part 4) that sits at the base of the cap. The screw is opened by inserting the J key and twisting the key in a counterclockwise motion. This releases the screw from the ring and allows the cap to be removed. The screw remains in the cap top while the bottle is open. The cap is locked by replacing it back on top of the bottle and using the J key to turn the screw clockwise.
The cap opens to permit the liquid to be poured out of the bottle.
The locking mechanism allows the cap to be locked onto the bottle in the closed position. It can only be unlocked with the J key.
