Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to bags, and more particularly, to a collapsible bag.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A common bag is hollow inside for containing things, generally having a cover piece fixedly mounted to one side of the bag for preventing the things located in the bag from slipping away from the bag. The cover piece can be turned to the other side of the bag to run across the opening of the bag and to be combined to the other side of the bag, thus sealing the opening. Generally speaking, while a user intends to carry the bag outdoor, the user can fold the bag to reduce its size for easy portability. However, if the folded bag is not well fastened, the bag may be unfolded at any time, so it will fail to indeed reduce the size of the bag.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a collapsible bag, which can be well fastened after folded.
- The foregoing objective of the present invention is attained by the collapsible bag composed of a main body, a flexible cover member, and a hand strap. The main body includes an opening, a first sidewall located at one side thereof, a second sidewall located at another side oppose side to the first sidewall, and a first female adhesive member mounted to a predetermined position of an external side of the first sidewall. The cover member includes a male adhesive member mounted to one side thereof for adhesive connection with the first female adhesive member while the cover member is turned to the first sidewall to seal the opening of the main body. The hand strap is fixed to the main body. The main body further includes a second female adhesive member mounted to a predetermined position of an external side of the second sidewall thereof for connection with the male adhesive member while the main body is folded by a predetermined way to fasten the folded main body.

FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention after folded. -
FIG. 11 is an enlarged view of a part of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention after folded. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-7 , acollapsible bag 10 constructed according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention is composed of amain body 11, a first femaleadhesive member 12, a second femaleadhesive member 13, acover member 14, a maleadhesive member 15, and ahand strap 16. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-3 , themain body 11 includes afirst sidewall 111 located at one side thereof, and asecond sidewall 112 located at another side opposite to thefirst sidewall 111. The first and 111 and 112 are made of easily bendable material, like cloth. Two opposite lateral edges and a bottom edge of thesecond sidewalls first sidewall 111 are fixedly connected with those of thesecond sidewall 112 respectively, so that a receiving space is formed between the first and 111 and 112 for receiving things. In addition, ansecond sidewalls opening 113 is formed between respective top edges of the first and 111 and 112 for communication between outside and the receiving space.second sidewalls - The first female
adhesive member 12 is mounted to a predetermined position of an external side of thefirst sidewall 111 of themain body 11. - The second female
adhesive member 13 is mounted to a predetermined position of an external side of thesecond sidewall 112 of themain body 11. - The
cover member 14 is an elongated flexible band and is made of easily bendable material, like cloth. Thecover member 14 has two ends, one of which is fixedly connected with the external side of thesecond sidewall 112 of themain body 11 and the other end thereof can be turned across theopening 113 to touch the external side of thesecond sidewall 112. - The male
adhesive member 15 is mounted to a free end of thefirst sidewall 111 and can be adhesively connected with the first femaleadhesive member 12, while thecover member 14 is turned to the external side of thefirst sidewall 111, so that thecover member 14 can seal the opening 113 of themain body 11. - The
hand strap 16 at two ends thereof is fixedly mounted to a top edge of the external side of thesecond sidewall 112 of themain body 11 for a user's holding. - While the user intends to fold the
collapsible bag 10 of the present invention to reduce the size for portability, the user can first split the maleadhesive member 15 from the first femaleadhesive member 12, as shown inFIG. 4 , and then bend the two lateral edges of themain body 11 toward a center of thefirst sidewall 111, so that the two lateral edges of themain body 11 are nearly butted each other, as shown inFIG. 5 . Next, turn the bottom edge of themain body 11 toward the top edge along thefirst sidewall 111 for a one-third distance between the top and bottom edges of themain body 11, as shown inFIG. 6 , and then again turn it toward the top edge of themain body 11 on a bottom edge of the folded part of themain body 11 to enable the second femaleadhesive member 13 to be located right corresponding to the maleadhesive member 15. Finally, adhere the maleadhesive member 15 to the second femaleadhesive member 13, as shown inFIG. 7 , to allow the folded bag 100 to be well fastened in such a way that the male and second 15 and 13 are adhesively connected with each other.adhesive members - Referring to
FIGS. 8-11 , acollapsible bag 20 constructed according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention is composed of amain body 21, a first femaleadhesive member 22, a second femaleadhesive member 23, acover member 24, a maleadhesive member 25, ahand strap 26, asubsidiary bag 27, ahanging device 28, and twoback straps 29. - The
subsidiary bag 27 includes one side connected with a predetermined position of the external side of thefirst sidewall 211 of themain body 21, an opening formed at a top end thereof, and azipper 215 mounted at the opening for sealing or unsealing the opening. - The first female
adhesive member 22 is mounted to the external side of thesubsidiary bag 27. - The second female
adhesive member 23 is mounted to a predetermined position of thesecond sidewall 212 of themain body 21. - The
cover member 24 includes two ends, one of which is fixedly connected with the external side of thesecond sidewall 212 of themain body 11 and the other end can be turned across the opening of themain body 21 to touch the external side of thesecond sidewall 212. What thecover member 24 is located on thesecond sidewall 212 is stitched to thesecond sidewall 212, so that atransversal strap hole 241 is formed between thecover member 24 and thesecond sidewall 212. Anelongated strap 90 can run through thestrap hole 241, as shown inFIG. 11 , to fasten thebag 20 to the user. - The hanging
device 28 is mounted to an external side of thecover member 24, as shown inFIG. 9 . The hangingdevice 28 includes a plurality of strap-shaped members 281 transversally stitched to an external side of thecover member 24, and a plurality of strap holes, each of which is formed between thecover member 24 and the strap-shaped member 281 for hanging or holding things. - The male
adhesive member 25 is mounted to one side of a free end of thecover member 24 and can be connected with the first femaleadhesive member 22, while thecover member 24 is turned to the external side of thefirst sidewall 211 of themain body 21, such that thecover member 24 can seal the opening 213 of themain body 21. - The
hand strap 26 includes two ends fixed to a top edge of the external side of thesecond sidewall 212 of themain body 21 for the user's holding. - Each of the two
back straps 29, as shown inFIG. 9 , includes two ends connected with a top edge and a bottom edge of one of two opposite sides of themain body 21 respectively for enabling the user to carry thebag 20 on the back. - Because how the
bag 20 of the second embodiment is folded for portability is the same as thebag 10 of the first embodiment, no more recitation of thebag 20 is necessary. In the second embodiment, thebag 20 can be not only well fastened after folded to reduce the portable size thereof and to maintain the shape thereof but also function as hanging and holding things via the hanging device, increasing the space for containing things via the subsidiary bag, and providing a back-carrying manner in addition to the hand-carrying one. - Although the present invention has been described with respect to specific preferred embodiments thereof, it is no way limited to the details of the illustrated structures but changes and modifications may be made within the scope of the appended claims.
