Definitions
- the present invention relates to safety locks provided in the trigger group of guns.
- the present invention more particularly relates to a novel trigger lock, which is embodied in addition to such safety locks provided in the trigger group of guns for preventing such guns from firing while the safety lock is either in activated position or deactivated position, when, for instance, such guns fall down and hit the floor instantly.
- Guns comprise a trigger group which provide the firing of projectiles.
- Such trigger groups comprise a safety lock for preventing the guns from firing. Once the safety lock is activated, the trigger mechanism of guns becomes rigid.
- a force exerted on the trigger shall activate the trigger group, resulting in the firing of projectiles.
- Guns comprise in general a trigger group.
- the trigger within the trigger group is coupled to a hammer which provides the firing. Once a manual force is applied on the trigger, the hammer becomes free by the movement at the junction point of hammer and trigger, such that the gun is fired.
- Guns further comprise a safety lock for locking the trigger.
- the triggers displacement capacity is blocked by means of the safety lock, this blocking effect preventing the hammer from becoming free.
- the triggers are maintained in rigid mode by means of the safety lock while the guns are not in use.
- the resultant impact and jolting effecting the gun may cause the trigger to dislocate and release the hammer.
- any object within the firing gun's range assumes a potentially-dangerous position.
- the safety lock of such gun is already in the deactivated position. Many injuries and even deaths occur due to such circumstances.
- the objective of the present invention is to develop a novel trigger lock to be included in the trigger group of guns in addition to the safety lock for preventing the guns from firing when they fall down and hit the floor or under an instant jolting effect for eliminating the drawbacks referred to in the prior art.
- Another objective of the present invention is to produce a trigger lock which can simply be assembled to the trigger group of guns.
- a further objective of the present invention is to prevent the guns from firing projectiles with the hammer being released upon any sudden jolting effect, to be applicable to all kind of guns.
- Yet a further objective of the present invention is to prevent any injuries which may occur as a result of the unintentional firing of guns, once they fall down and hit the floor, or become effected from a sudden jolt.
- Still a further objective of the present invention is to embody a trigger lock, which is fixed by a certain swinging point with freedom of movement on the trigger group, which, following a swinging motion is restored to its original position with the elastic element, and which, upon jolting effect, rests on the trigger from the locking point, preventing the trigger from releasing the hammer.
- a trigger lock which, on the trigger group of guns, is connected with the elastic element and coupled with the trigger group from the swinging point, and which, by means of the swinging motion it performs during a jolt the gun experiences, blocks the trigger from the locking point, preventing the trigger from releasing the hammer. Since it can easily be applied to the trigger group, it can be used in all guns comprising a trigger group. When the guns instantly fall down, hit the floor and resultantly jolt, they are prevented from firing by means of the present invention, avoiding possible injuries and deaths.
- the trigger remains locked by means of the safety lock, the possibility that depends on the magnitude of jolt to occur while the gun hits the floor is eliminated that the trigger releases the hammer, resulting in the firing of gun.
- the safety lock is maintained in the deactivated mode, the guns are prevented from firing upon any unintentional and momentary jolts the gun experiences.
- At least one trigger lock is provided in addition to the safety lock, said trigger lock being contacted by at least one swinging point formed on the trigger group, preventing the trigger from releasing the hammer upon jolting effect by setting into motion under a certain force from the swinging point.
- At least one locking point is provided by means of which the trigger lock locks the trigger.
- At least one weight extension is provided which is formed on the trigger lock for adjusting the swinging amount of the trigger lock from the swinging point towards the locking point upon jolting effect occurring with the gun instantly hitting the floor.
- At least one elastic element is provided which is in contact with the trigger lock for restoring the trigger lock to its original position after said lock provides locking with the swinging motion it makes towards the locking point.
- At least one elastic element slot is provided in which said elastic element is positioned.
- At least one swinging range, which is formed on the trigger group is provided, in which the trigger lock swings upon jolting effect.
- At least one locking extension is formed on the trigger lock, said locking extension allowing the trigger lock to lock the trigger by the locking point.
- At least one elastic element extension is provided, which is formed on the trigger lock and by which the trigger lock is connected with the elastic element.
- a weight extension is provided on the trigger lock, said weight extension being formed with a longer structure than said elastic element extension.
- FIG. 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 2 illustrates the trigger lock's locking manner in a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- the present invention provides a novel trigger lock ( 1 ), which is embodied in the trigger group ( 12 ) of guns in addition to the safety lock ( 6 ) for preventing the trigger ( 2 ) from releasing the hammer ( 3 ) and for preventing the gun from firing unintentionally when the gun falls instantly down and hits the floor or due to suchlike jolting effects.
- the trigger lock ( 1 ) embodied, the unintentional firing of the trigger ( 2 ) is avoided. Thus, any potential injuries are avoided as well. Additionally any accidents and even fatal injuries are prevented.
- a trigger ( 2 ) in the trigger group ( 12 ) are provided a trigger ( 2 ), a contact point ( 11 ) by which the trigger ( 2 ) contacts the hammer ( 3 ), a safety lock ( 6 ), a trigger lock ( 1 ), a swinging range ( 10 ) in which the trigger lock ( 1 ) displaces, and an elastic element ( 4 ) positioned in an elastic element slot ( 7 ) which is in connection with the trigger lock ( 1 ).
- a weight extension ( 8 ) is embodied on the trigger lock ( 1 ), by means of which ( 8 ) the extent and manner of swinging is (adjusted.
- the trigger lock ( 1 ) contacts the trigger group ( 12 ) by the swinging point ( 9 ).
- the trigger lock ( 1 ) locks the trigger by the locking point ( 5 ).
- a locking extension ( 13 ) is formed on the trigger lock ( 1 ), said extension being contacted to the locking point ( 5 ) that locks the trigger ( 2 ).
- an elastic element extension ( 14 ) is provided on the trigger lock ( 1 ), said extension ( 14 ) being in connection with the elastic element ( 4 ). The swinging motion performed by the trigger lock ( 1 ) by the swinging point ( 9 ) can be adjusted by means of the weight adjustment ( 8 ).
- the locking extension ( 13 ) is rendered to lock the trigger ( 2 ) at the locking point ( 5 ) under jolting effect. Restoring the trigger ( 2 ) to its original position is ensured by means of the elastic element ( 4 ) which is in connection with the elastic element extension ( 14 ).
- Trigger locks ( 1 ) with different structures can be embodied by altering its form. Elements like spring, etc. can be used in place of said elastic element ( 4 ). The swinging point ( 9 ) may be altered according to the swinging motion of the trigger lock ( 1 ) so as to provide a more accurate operation.
- the trigger lock's ( 1 ) swinging extent may be adjusted by changing the lengths of the weight extension ( 8 ) and of the elastic element extension ( 14 ).
- the trigger lock ( 1 ) embodied can be used in all firearms comprising a trigger group ( 12 ). It can easily be applied to various guns, thanks to its simple assembly and low cost.
- the shape of the swinging motion of the trigger lock ( 1 ) can be adjusted by making use of differently-structured elastic elements ( 4 ).
