Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention is related to a detachable guide air hood and particularly to an easily detachable guide air hood, which is capable of being associated with a fan to enhance heat dissipation.
- 2. Brief Description of the Related Art
- Currently, a fan is usually is employed to perform cooling job for a computer. The fan with the rotational shaft thereof is secured with a fan frame. In order to enhance effect of heat dissipation, a guide air hood is used to be incorporated with the fan to direct hot air toward a certain direction. The guide air hood is attached to the fan with screws or wedge projections. The disadvantage of screw fastening is in that hand tools are required for either setting up or being disassembled the guide air hood and the fan frame has to be drilled fixing holes. Thus, it is tedious to fix or detach the guide air hood and the fixing holes easily become larger diameters and loosening engagement. The disadvantage of the wedge projections is in that it is hard to be detached, easy to become loosening and worn out.
- In order to overcome the preceding problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a detachable guide air hood, which is capable of being attached to and detached from a fan frame easily.
- Accordingly, a detachable guide air hood according to the present invention, which fits with a fan frame for enhancing heat dissipation, includes a hollow guide air bucket, a fitting part and at least a pair of holding hooks. The hollow guide air bucket provides a large opening and a small opening with two opposite first inclined side walls and two opposite second inclined side walls having a shape of convergence from the large opening to the small opening. The fitting part is disposed at the small opening and provides two opposite first parallel side walls and two opposite second parallel side walls. The parallel side walls are joined to the guide air bucket. The holding hooks are disposed at the joint of the guide air bucket and the fitting part and an end of the respective holding hook is connected to the guide air bucket.
- Next, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention provides a stop plate at the inner sides of the joint of the guide air bucket and the fitting part to be perpendicular to the fitting part.
- Further, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention provides a locating recess at four corners of the fitting part corresponding to four corners of the fan frame.
- Further, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention provides a guide air hood, which has a cross section of parallelogram.
- Further, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention provides holding hooks joined to the guide air bucket are diagonally adjacent to each other.
- Further, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention provides a guide air hood, which has a cross section of parallelogram.
- Further, the detachable guide air hood according to the present invention is capable of being set up with the holding hooks engaging with locating grooves provided in the fan frame for keeping good engagement without the hand tools and being less worn out.
- The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a detachable guide air hood according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the encircled area shown inFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the guide air hood of the invention in association with a fan and the fixing frame thereof; -
FIG. 4 is a fragmentary perspective view illustrating the guide air hood engaging with the fixing frame; and -
FIG. 5 is an enlarged view of the encircled area shown inFIG. 4 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 5 , a detachable guide fan hood provides ahollow hood member 10, which is composed of aguide air bucket 11 and afitting part 12. Theguide air bucket 11 has two opposite firstinclined side walls 111 and two opposite secondinclined side walls 112 to form a quadrilateral shape cone with cross section of a non-rectangular parallelogram such that a convergence is formed from the upper opening to the lower opening thereof. Thefitting part 12 is disposed at the lower opening of theguide air bucket 11 and is formed with two opposite firstparallel side walls 121 and two opposite secondparallel side walls 122. - A pair of L-
shaped holding hooks 13 are provided at one of the firstinclined side walls 111 and at one of the secondinclined side walls 112 respectively in a way of theholding hooks 13 are disposed diagonally adjacent to each other. The upper end of therespective holding hook 13 extends from theinclined side walls holding hook 13 is aninverted hook end 131 being flush with the free ends of theparallel side walls inclined side walls holding hooks 13. - The
fitting part 12 has alower recess 123 at four corners thereof respectively for accommodating four corners of theframe 20 of the fan. The inner side of the respectiveparallel side wall stop plate 14 perpendicularly for axially locating the guide air hood with the frame of the fan. - Once the lower end of the
fitting part 12 fits with thefan frame 20, the guide air hood is moved downward slightly till theholding hook 13 tightly engaging with a locatinggroove 21 disposed at the outer side of thefan frame 20 and corresponding to theholding hook 13. In case of the guide air hood being detached from thefan frame 20, theholding hook 13 is moved outward the locatinggroove 21 with both hands and pushed upward at the same time. In this way, the guide air fan is capable of being taken out smoothly. - While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
