  • This invention relates to a new method of operating a baseball league.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The popularity of various baseball activities in which individuals simulate managing a group of players has grown in recent years. However, there is no opportunity for these baseball enthusiasts to experience managing an actual team in an actual game. Needed is a method of operating a baseball league wherein the right to manage a member team for a selected number of scheduled games is offered for sale.
  • OBJECTS AND ADVANTAGES
  • The present invention alleviates the aforementioned problem by providing a method of operating a baseball league wherein the right to manage a member team for a selected number of scheduled games is offered for sale. This unique method of operating a baseball league allows the baseball enthusiast to manage every phase of an actual baseball game including such decisions as when to change pitchers, when to bunt, and when to steal a base. Such an experience would be much more satisfying to a baseball enthusiast than merely choosing a group of professional players and observing their statistics throughout a season.
  • Furthermore, the manager would be matching wits with another manager. A group of baseball fans could put their baseball knowledge to the test by managing against one another in a series of baseball games.
  • SUMMARY
  • The above problems and others are at least partially solved and the above purposes and others realized in this method of operating a baseball league wherein the right to manage a member team for a selected number of scheduled games is offered for sale.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • In its preferred embodiment the present method of operating a baseball league includes a plurality of teams playing one another according to a predetermined schedule and customers who pay for the right to manage scheduled games.
  • Operation of Preferred Embodiment
  • One or more customers pay for the right to manage every aspect of a selected number of scheduled baseball games of a member team and compete against one or more customers who have paid to manage the opposing member team scheduled for the contest or contests in question.
  • RAMIFICATIONS
  • While there is described the present preferred embodiment of the invention, it is to be distinctly understood that this invention is not limited thereto but may be variously embodied to practice within the scope of the following claims.

Claims (1)

1. A method of operating a baseball league composed of a plurality of teams comprising:
(a) scheduling a selected number of games between said teams,
(b) offering for sale the right to manage a selected number of said games.
