Abstract

A mode of providing clean filtered air into regular room by inserting a Plexiglas panel into a standard window. The Plexiglas panel is perforated so outside air can come in flowing through two filters, plastic and paper, and circulated by an electric fan that is attached to the Plexiglas panel. A twenty-four hour switch and timer regulates the time of filtered air coming into the room. The Plexiglas panel is also fitted with a perforation where air can flow through two filters that are attached to a breathing regulator for inhaling fresh clean air for exercising the lungs.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Technical Field
  • The present invention enumerates to a technique of filtering air from the outside through the use of a Plexiglas panel insert into a common window. More expressly, the present invention is designed to filter the air from outside into a regular room with the use of two filters, plastic and paper, aided by an electric fan and a 24 hour timer to provide needed circulation of filtered clean air into the room for any length of time.
  • 2. Background Art
  • I, the inventor, have had asthma for much of my life. Over the years I have studied and read many articles and books on breathing techniques. The best article was entitled “Nose, Right Under Your” by Carol Krueoff in the December, 2000 issue of the Reader's Digest magazine. It tells how the breathing of oxygen is good for the body and the mind. I moved to my present residence in 2002. A two-bedroom apartment located on the second floor overlooking a very busy boulevard and a park just across the street full trees and pollen. In cleaning my balcony three times a year I found that it was not only covered with dust and dirt, yet grease that required me to scrub and wash the balcony every time I cleaned it. It was at this point that I realized that when I opened the window to get fresh air I was also getting all that dust and dirt and grease into my apartment. This brings us to the present invention created to filter the outside air from all the dust, dirt, and grease so a person can breathe clean oxygen from outside. I have also utilized a breathing regulator that I already have under patent. The patent no of this previous patent is U.S. Pat. No. 6,651,654 B2. Title of this previous patent is “X-Salizer An exerciser for the lungs.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention is a Plexiglas panel that is inserted into any size window. It is cut two inches shorter of whatever the height of the window is and adjustable pieces of three-eights of an inch thick Plexiglas are placed on the top of the panel insert so there is a tight fit. This Plexiglas panel is nine inches wide and is perforated so air can come into a room where it is installed. In the middle of the Plexiglas panel perforations, five in all, are cut through the panel. One-half of an inch wide and one-half of an inch thick plastic strips of Plexiglas that are approximately five inches in length are glued around the perforations forming a box. Inside the box two filters are placed to filter the outside air coming into the room through the perforations. One filter is plastic and the other is paper. On the top of the filters and plastic strips a circular metal grill is placed to hold the filters in place. Then a 115 volt/50 to 60 cycle electric fan is mounted on top of the grill and plastic strips and are all attached by screws and screwed onto the Plexiglas panel. The electric fan is attached electrically to an on/off switch and timer that regulates the flow of filtered air into the room 24 hours a day. This timer/switch is hooked up electrically to the house current. Also on the bottom center portion of the Plexiglas panel another perforation has been cut through the panel. This perforation is circular. Inserted into it is a piece of perfectly suitable plastic pipe that is two and one-half of an inch in diameter and three inches in length. A plastic ring is inserted into the pipe to hold a plastic and paper filter. A corrugated plastic hose is attached to the plastic pipe with a breathing regulator attached at the end so a person can have breathing exercises with filtered outside air. The main purpose of this present invention is to provide filtered outside air into a room or structure free of dust, grease, and pollen.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Turning attention to the drawings, more expressly to FIG. 1. There is shown the present invention inserted into a standard window. Specifically indicated is 1 a Plexiglas clear panel whereby a 115-volt electric fan has been placed over perforations cut through the Plexiglas panel and filters placed on top of the perforations to filter the outside air coming into the room. The electric fan is connected to 3 an on/off switch and 24 hour timer that regulates the incoming filtered air. This switch and timer is connected to 4 a power cord. In the lower middle of the Plexiglas panel another circular perforation 5 is cut through the panel and covered with two filters, one plastic and one paper, that are inserted into a plastic pipe that is placed in the circular perforation and then covered with a plastic perforated cover that a 6 a corrugated plastic hose is attached and at the end of the hose a 7 breathing regulator is inserted into the hose and at the other end of the breathing regulator a mouth piece is inserted so 8 a user can perform breathing exercises using the filtered air from the present invention.
  • Now more particularly to the present invention that is highlighted in FIG. 2 where there is shown an exploded view of all the assembled parts of the present invention that are located on the inside of the room more specifically 1 a Plexiglas clear panel that is 9 inches wide and approximately whatever the height of the window it's being inserted in minus 2 inches and ⅜ of an inch thick. Then 2 small panels of clear Plexiglas are attached at the top of the panel and adjusted and then screwed in place to secure a tight fit in the window. Circular perforations 3 are cut through the Plexiglas panel in the middle. These perforations are sized so they will fit a 115 volt/50 to 60 cycle electric fan 8 that will be attached over the perforations. Then 4 Plexiglas strips that are ½ an inch wide and a ½ an inch thick and approximately five inches in length are glued onto the Plexiglas panel in the shape of a square around the circular perforations. Inside these Plexiglas strips a plastic filter 5 approximately five inches square is fitted inside 4 and on top the plastic filter a paper filter 6 approximately five inches square is fitted. Next a metal grill 7 is placed on top the filters 4,5, to hold them in place and next a 115 volt electric fan 8 is placed over the metal grill and 8,7, are screwed and Attached to 4. Just below the fan on the right hand side 9 an on/off switch and 24 hour timer is inserted into another perforation 10 that is cut through the Plexiglas panel. The electric fan 8 is wired and connected to 9, which in turn is wired and plugged into the electrical power of the room where the Plexiglas panel is inserted. Lower down on the Plexiglas panel in the middle another small perforation 11 is cut through the panel that is approximately 2½ inches in diameter. A plastic pipe 12 that is 3 inches in length is inserted and glued into 11. Then a plastic washer 13 is inserted and glued into plastic pipe 12. Next a 14 plastic filter is cut to size and inserted into plastic pipe 12 and resting against plastic washer 13. Then a paper filter 15 is fitted to size and inserted into plastic pipe 12 against plastic filter 14. Last a plastic cap 16 fits over the plastic pipe 12 and is perforated at one end so a corrugated plastic hose can be attached to plastic cap 16. Also there is a cap that covers perforation on 16 when not in use.
  • Now more particularly to this present invention as highlighted in FIG. 3 where there is shown an exploded view of all the assembled outside parts of the present invention where 1 is a Plexiglas panel that is 9 inches wide and the height of whatever window it is inserted minus 2 inches and three eights of an inch thick and 2 Plexiglas strips are inserted at the top of the Plexiglas panel and adjusted so that the panel will have a tight fit in the window. Circular perforations 3 are cut through the middle of the Plexiglas panel and are protected by 4-vented metal cover. Just below perforations 3 on the right side another perforation 5 is cut through the Plexiglas panel and is protected by 6 a metal cover that will protect the switch/timer that is inserted and bolted into 5. Lower in the middle of the Plexiglas panel another small circular Perforation 7 is cut through the Plexiglas panel and is protected by 8 a metal vented cover that is screwed onto the Plexiglas panel
  • Now more particularly the present invention is highlighted in FIG. 4 where there is shown an Exploded view of all the assembled parts of a breathing regulator that is already under U.S. Pat. All these assembled parts that are more specifically described as a four and three-eights of an inch of perfectly suitable plastic cylinder 1 that is one inch, in diameter, that has been drilled with a hole 2 that is exactly three-quarters of an inch, in diameter, that is placed approximately one and one-quarter of an inch from left end of cylinder. Then take a perfectly suitable [plastic cylinder 3 that is exactly one inch, in diameter, and exactly two and five-eights of an inch in length and shaped so it fits tightly over drilled hole 2 of 1. Next cement 3 into 1 over drilled hole 2. Then take a piece of perfectly suitable plastic cylinder 4 that is exactly one and one-quarter of an inch in length and one inch, in diameter, that has specifically been sized so it fits tightly into the left end of 1. Now insert 4 into the left end of 1. Then take a second piece of perfectly suitable plastic cylinder 5 that is one inch, in diameter, and cut exactly and sized as 4. Now take a five-eights of an inch perfectly suitable rubber O-ring 6 and cement it onto the left end of 5. Next take a perfectly suitable plastic disc 7 that has been cut to one-quarter of an inch in length and five-eights of an inch, in diameter, that has also been drilled with four one-sixteenth of an inch holes that are ninety degrees (right angle) from each other and one-sixteenth of an inch from the outer edge of 7. This circular plastic disc is inserted into the right end of 1 until it reaches a length of one and one-quarter of an inch and cemented into place. Then insert a perfectly suitable plastic flotation marble (ball) 8 that is exactly five-eights of an inch, in diameter, into the right end of 1 until it touches 7. Next insert 5 into 1 until it almost touches 8. Then take a perfectly suitable plastic cylinder 9 that is one-quarter of an inch thick and three-quarters of an inch, in diameter, and cement a perfectly suitable rubber O-ring 10 on one side of 9. Next insert 9, with 10, down into the top of 3 until it touches the top of the drilled hole 2 of 1. Then insert a perfectly suitable plastic flotation marble 11 (ball) that is exactly five-eights of an inch, in diameter, into 3 till it rests on top of 11. Next take a perfectly suitable plastic disc 12 that is one-quarter of an inch thick and three-quarters of an inch, in diameter, that has been drilled through with four one-sixteenths holes that are ninety degrees (right angle) from each other and one-sixteenth of an inch from the outer edge of 12. Plastic disc 12 has also been drilled through in the exact center with a one-quarter of an inch hole. Insert 12 into 3 until it rests just above 11. Next insert a Perfectly suitable brass washer 13 that is exactly three-sixteenth of an inch, in diameter, into 3 until it rests over center-drilled hole of 12. Then take a perfectly suitable brass bolt 14 that is one and one-half of an inch in length and one-quarter of an inch, in diameter, that has been threaded and the head removed (headless). The bottom end of 14 has been sized down to exactly three sixteenth of an inch, in diameter, and exactly three-sixteenth of an inch in length 15. Insert 14 into center of 3 until it rests through 13 and into the center drilled hole of 12. Just 15 will enter the center-drilled hole of 12. Next take a perfectly suitable plastic disc 16 that is exactly one-quarter of an inch thick and three-quarters of an inch, in diameter, that has been drilled with four, one-sixteenths of an inch, holes that are ninety degrees from each other. Piece 16 has also been drilled with a hole in the exact center that is One-quarter of an inch, in diameter, and threaded for screwed assembly. Screw 16 into 14 until it is halfway down, approximately three-quarters of an inch on 16. Then take a perfectly suitable stainless steel spring 17 that is approximately three-eights of an inch, in diameter, and approximately one-half of an inch in length. Slip string 17 over 14 until it rests on top of 12 and into a special drilled hole for piece 17. Now cement 17 into place in special drilled hole of piece 12. Lastly take a perfectly suitable plastic disc 18 that is three-eights of an inch thick and one inch, in diameter, that has a center drilled hole through that is exactly one-quarter of an inch in diameter. The bottom half of 18 has been sized down to three-quarters of an inch so it will fit into the top of 3 and become a cap. Piece 18 has also been drilled with four, one-sixteenths of an inch, holes that are ninety degrees (right angle) from each other and one-sixteenths of an inch from the outer edge. Now 18 is cemented into 14. Piece 17 is also cemented into bottom-drilled hole of 18 specially placed to hold 17. It is best to assemble parts 14,16,17, and 18 together and cement parts 17 and 18 into place before you insert parts 14 through 18 into 3.
  • Referring to patented breathing regulator used in the present invention in FIG. 5. Particularly the first primary function of the breathing regulator: Regulation of inhaled air into the user's respiratory system.
  • Highlighted now in FIG. 6 is the second primary function of the breathing regulator: Regulation of the exhaled air of the breathing regulator. Particularly how the exhaled air is trapped in the lower cylinder Due to the safeguard of the flotation marble (ball) and forced, and released, through the upright cylinder and back into the room.
  • FIG. 7 turns specifically to the third primary function of this breathing regulator: Regulation of the exhaled air in the upright cylinder of the breathing regulator. The assembly of the upright cylinder consisting of three plastic discs and a stainless steel spring that are all connected together by a central headless brass bolt that creates resistance as the user exhales. Screwing central headless brass bolt clockwise and decreased by turning central headless bolt counter clockwise increases this resistance. As the user breathes, the exhaled air creates resistance in the upper cylinder of the breathing regulator thus helping the user exercise his respiratory system.

Claims (12)

1. A process of supplying filtered fresh air into a room, said process involving the steps of:
a) Inserting a nine inch wide clear Plexiglas panel that is three-eights of an inch thick And approximately whatever the height of the window that panel is inserted. The Plexiglas panel perforated so outside air can come in.
b) Administering said outside air into room through filter covered perforations that Is aided by 115 v, 50/60 cycle electric fan and breathing regulator.
2. The method of claim 1 wherein Plexiglas panel contains six-sawed through perforations.
3. The method of claim 1 wherein two plastic filters are contained.
4. The method of claim 1 wherein two paper filters are contained.
5. The method of claim 1 wherein a perfectly suitable circular metal grill is contained.
6. The method of claim 1 wherein 4 Plexiglas strips approximately one-half of an inch wide And one-half of an inch thick and approximately five inches in length are contained.
7. The method of claim 1 wherein a 115-volt, 50/60 cycle electric fan is contained.
8. The method of claim 1 wherein an on/off switch and twenty-four hour timer is contained.
9. The method of claim 1 wherein a perfectly suitable plastic pipe three inches in length and Two and one-half of an inch in diameter is contained.
10. The method of claim 1 wherein a perfectly suitable plastic cap two and one-half of an inch in diameter with an one-inch opening at one end.
11. The method of claim 1 wherein a perfectly suitable corrugated plastic hose is contained.
12. The method of claim 1 wherein breathing regulator is contained.
