Abstract

A coupling device of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim of the present invention is designed for coupling a fastening belt of the safety goggles with the hat brim of a hat body. The coupling device has a base having an outward extended arched gap, wherein the base is relatively rotatable so as to allow the hat brim of the hat body to be rotated into the gap of the base. In addition, the base is coupled with a hooking body for further coupling with the fastening belt of the safety goggles. Accordingly, the coupling device of the present invention can be assembled easily and conveniently.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a coupling device of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim, and more particularly to a coupling device for coupling the safety goggles with a hat body.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • For the purpose of protecting the head, which is a weak and sensitive portion of human body, against the risk of being impacted or knocked by external force, the safety helmet must be worn on the head in accordance with the industrial and traffic safety codes. In addition to the safety helmet, the safety goggles must be worn to protect the eyes against dust, air blast, and chemical reagents for providing industrial safety. Accordingly, the safety helmet and the safety goggles are usually utilized together. The safety helmet described below is principally the industrial safety helmet, but not limited thereto.
  • The general safety helmet has a hat brim on which a U-shaped coupling device having a U-shaped frame is mounted, wherein the U-shaped frame is pierced through by a bolt for tightly coupling the coupling device with the hat brim.
  • In addition, a rotatable hooking body, which is upward or downward rotatable, is pivotally coupled with the outer end of the coupling device for coupling with the fastening belt of the safety goggles.
  • However, it can be seen that the safety helmet is coupled with the safety goggles via the U-shaped frame, resulting in the complicated assemble process. As a result, if there is a need to replace the safety goggles, the bolt must be loosened first to detach the coupling device from the hat brim.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • A major object of the present invention is to disclose a coupling device of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim, wherein the coupling device is designed for coupling a fastening belt of the safety goggles with the hat brim of a hat body. The coupling device has a base having an outward extended arched gap, wherein the base is relatively rotatable so as to allow the hat brim of the hat body to be rotated into the gap of the base. In addition, the base is coupled with a hooking body for further coupling with the fastening belt of the safety goggles. Accordingly, the present invention can be assembled easily and conveniently.
  • Another object of the present invention is to disclose a preferred embodiment of a coupling device of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim. In this preferred embodiment, the base has a vertical slot extending from the arched gap. By using the vertical slot, the base is divided into a first segment and a second segment, which are connected to each other via a bottom part. In addition, the first segment and the second segment have respective through holes that communicate with each other so as to allow a coupling bolt to pass therethrough. By tightly screwing the coupling bolt, the hat brim can be inserted into the arched gap tightly
  • A further object of the present invention is to disclose a preferred embodiment of a coupling device of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim. In this preferred embodiment, the coupling bolt is composed of a male bolt and a female bolt, which are inwardly, detachably coupled with each other from respective outsides of the first segment and the second segment.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an elevational view showing the coupling device of the present invention that couples with the safety helmet and the safety goggles.
  • FIG. 2 is a decomposed, elevational top view showing the rotatable hooking body and the base of the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is an assembled, elevational top view showing the rotatable hooking body and the base of the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic view showing the operation of the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 is an elevational view showing the coupling device of the present invention that couples with the hat brim of the safety helmet.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • The description taken with the drawings make the structures, features, and embodiments of the present invention apparent to those skilled in the art how the present invention may be embodied in practice.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a coupling device 1 of a pair of safety goggles for use in a hat brim of the present invention is shown. The coupling device 1 is generally designed for coupling a fastening belt 31 of the safety goggles 3 with the hat brim 21 of a hat body 2. The hat body 2 is a safety helmet, such as an industrial safety helmet, as shown in FIG. 1. However, the hat body is not limited to the safety helmet, and not limited to the industrial safety helmet.
  • Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the main body of the present invention is principally a base 11, wherein the base 11 has an outward extended arched gap 111.
  • Referring to FIG. 4, the base 11 is relatively rotatable so as to allow the hat brim 21 of the hat body 2 to be rotated into the gap 111 of the base 11 for coupling them with each other. In addition, the base 11 further has a vertical slot 112 extending from the arched gap 111. By using the vertical slot 112, the base 11 is divided into a first segment 113 and a second segment 114, which are connected to each other via a bottom part 115. In addition, the first segment 113 and the second segment 114 have respective through holes 116 and 110 that communicate with each other so as to allow a coupling bolt 117 to pass therethrough. The coupling bolt 117 is composed of a male bolt 118 and a female bolt 119, which are inwardly coupled with each other from the respective outsides of the first segment 113 and the second segment 114.
  • Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, a rotatable hooking body 12, which has a through hole 121 on one end, is pivotally coupled with an outer edge of the female bolt 119 by inserting the outer edge of the female bolt 119 into the through hole 121. Besides, the hooking body 12 has a hooking part 122 on the other end for coupling with the fastening belt 31 of the safety goggles 3 in such a manner that the hooking body 12 is pivotally, rotatably coupled with the base 11, as shown in FIG. 5.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, the coupling device 1 of the present invention can be coupled with the hat body 2 of the safety helmet. In addition, the hooking body 12 of the present invention can be coupled with the safety goggles 3 via the fastening belt 31. Accordingly, the safety goggles 3 are rotatable by the use of the hooking body 12 when wearing or adjusting the safety goggles 3.
  • On the basis of the description mentioned above, the present invention indeed satisfies the requirements for patentability since it provides practicability and has never been published or used publicly. Therefore, it is submitted for a patent.
  • With the invention thus explained, it is apparent that various modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the invention. It is therefore intended that this invention be limited only as indicated in the appended claims.
