Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The invention relates to a lighter device, and more particularly, to an improvement of lighter device having the combined functions of playing game, good outward appearance, and being capable of generating heat source.
  • 2. Description of the Invention
  • The history of the lighter coming into the word can be traced back to the stage that mankind learned how to generate sparkle by rubbing two logs together, and it is the fire that is the motive force of the economy and religious belief. Certainly, fire or tinder at that time in the mind of the primitive men has the sacred meaning and mysterious fascination as it is not only their source for warming themselves but is also full of uncontrollable feeling. The earliest story of the coming of the lighter is probable like this. A member of a tribe discovers incidentally that mysterious sparkle is generated when two logs are rubbed against each other by exerting all his/her energy. Of course, this has become their earliest campfire, and through this has become the earliest “lighter” in the history of mankind. Up to the seventeenth century, following the widespread utilization of case, tin, and tobacco bag, the article for generating fire including flint, inflammable substance had become convenient to preserve. This also makes the invention of fire cloth box become possible. In the end of the nineteenth century, England once had some interesting fire cloth boxes with their steel shell and flint replaced by convex lens for collecting the ray of light to ignite tinder. The number of this kind of fire cloth box is very limited such that it has become the target of collection pursued by the collectors.
  • The industrial revolution occurred in the eighteenth century through the nineteenth century makes all walk of lives in Europe go through deep reform and there is no exception for the manufacturer of lighter devices. During the Crimea War occurred between the years 1853 and 1856, the biggest winner is not any individual country but is the prosperous tobacco industry so as the lighter manufacturing industry as they are destined undivided-twins. In 1898, the coming of a lighter employing a fuse technique quickly became a very popular product in the market and was called a “magic pocket lamp”. It utilized the principle of detonator and ignition that is very much similar to the toy gun of today.
  • As time is going by, more and better lighters are manufactured and sold, and the lighter has become a necessity of our daily life, a promoted gift favored by the merchant, a souvenir for an adventurer or traveler, and even a cherish collection for the collectors. Up to the beginning of the twentieth century, the era of fire cloth box has come to an end, and the consumer needs more convenient and much cheaper choice of the lighter.
  • It is believed that in accordance with the foregoing short retrospect of the lighter history, the simple and ordinary lighter turns out to have many marvelous stories mingled with the development of the civilization of the human history. The most fashionable lighter of today still has the shadow of the primitive tool of generating fire, nevertheless, each of the lighter-collecting fan would admit that lighter worthy of collecting is absolutely a combination of outstanding technique and excellent design that curdles the creativity coming with an endless flow of human intelligence. It is for this reason, the lighter has become a favorite collection for the nobleman as well as common people.
  • However, the above-mentioned lighters have a common demerit, that is, they provide only a single function of thermal source without adding other efficacies.
  • Therefore, it has been an urgent plan and improvement project for the designers to resolve the above-mentioned problems by designing a lighter device adding the utilization functions.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In light of the above-mentioned demerits of the invention, the invention provides a lighter device that aims to ameliorate at least some of the demerits of the invention or to provide a useful alternative.
  • The primary objective of the invention is to provide a lighter device that disposes at least a rotating body to achieve the efficacies of playing games and having good outward appearance.
  • The secondary objective of the invention is to provide a lighter device that disposes a shining portion to achieve the efficacies of providing luminaire at night and having good outward appearance.
  • In order to achieve the above-mentioned objectives, the invention provides a lighter device that includes a main body, at least a rotating body, a shining portion, and an igniting portion. The main body being a hollow cylindrical structure has a containing space. The rotating body being slipping on the periphery of the main body is capable of rotating with respect to the axis of the main body to perform a rotational movement. The shining portion provided in the containing space has a stick-adhered switch and a power supply wherein the stick-adhered switch is capable of locating at a first position to contact the power supply and radiate a light source. The igniting portion being disposed in the containing space has a key-pressing switch and an interlocking element. The interlocking element is connected to the key-pressing switch and is matched to the corresponding stick-adhered switch. When one acts the key-pressing switch, the interlocking element is capable of propping up the stick-adhered switch to make the stick-adhered switch locate at the first position.
  • The accomplishment of this and other objectives of the invention will become apparent from the following description and its accompanying drawings of which:

The periphery (12) of the main body (1) is designed to be a circular shape to facilitate the rotation of the rotating body (2) while the inner edge (12) of the main body (1) can be in circular, rectangular, or other shapes. The rotating body (2) being slipped on the periphery (12) of the main body (1) is capable of rotating with respect to the axial direction (14) of main body (1) to perform a rotational movement (93) since the periphery (12) of the main body (1) is designed to be in circular shape. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the rotating body (2) is a hexagonal structure with the opposite face penetrating through each other. Besides, the four faces are display faces (21) that further have a predetermined figure (22). Certainly, the rotating body (2) can also be an octagonal structure of other polygonal structures. The variation of this kind of quantity and shape can be embodied by people skilled in the art in accordance with the above-mentioned illustration without departing from the scope or spirit of the invention. Therefore, it is not necessary to go into detail.
  • The shining portion (3) being provided in the containing space (11) has a stick-adhered switch (31) and a power supply (32) that preferably is a mercury cell. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the shining portion (3) has a multiplicity of shining bodies (34) that are electrically connected to the power supply (32) through an electric signal control element (35). The shining body (34) being capable of radiating different colors of ray is preferably an LED (light emitting diode). The igniting portion (4) being provided in the containing space (11) has an interlocking element (42) and a key-pressing switch (41) that is supported by a shelf (43). The shelf (43) has a via hole (44) for letting the interlocking element (42) pass through for matching the corresponding location of the stick-adhered switch (31).
  • FIG. 3 is a side view of the lighter device of a preferred embodiment of the invention; FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional side view of the lighter device showing the first position of its action of a preferred embodiment of the invention; and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional side view of the lighter device showing the second position of its action of a preferred embodiment of the invention. As shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 4, and FIG. 5, when a force exerts on a starting portion (6) causing the key-pressing switch (41) to act, the interlocking element (42) is capable of propping up the stick-adhered switch (31) to make it position at a first position (91) causing the multiplicity of shining bodies (34) electrically connected to the power supply (32) through the electric signal control element (35) to radiate a light source. The electric signal control element (35) is also capable of controlling the time and sequence of the radiated light source. The lighter device of the invention further includes a gas supply portion (5) that is connected to the stick-adhered switch (31). When the stick-adhered switch (31) positions at the first position (91), the gas supply portion (5) will be lifted up for providing the igniting portion (4) with gas. The shining portion (3) also has a resilient element (33). Once the exerting force is released, the shining body (34) is capable of contacting the stick-adhered switch (31) through the resilient element (33) and making the stick-adhered switch (31) position at a second position (92) through the resilience of the resilient element (33) and separate from the power supply (32) causing the multiplicity of shining body (34) stop radiating a light source.
