The hair dryer body has installed therein a fan and an electric heating net. The hair dryer body also has an air output port for sending out hot air. The temperature sensor is installed in the air output port of the hair dryer body and electrically connected to the display screen. The control member is installed in the hair dryer body for controlling the heating temperature of the electric heating net. The temperature sensor detects the temperature around the air output port, and then indicates the detected temperature through the display screen. The user operates the control member to adjust the heating temperature of the electric heating net to the desired level.

The control circuit controls the motor to rotate the induced-draft fan inducing currents of air toward the inside of the housing. At the same time, the electric heating device and the negative ion generator are driven by the control circuit to emit heat and to generate negative ions. Thus, hot air carrying negative ions is sent out of the housing for application.

Thecarrier 11 is made out of an electrically insulative material, for example, plastics, having a conical profile. The two distal ends of thecarrier 11 are respectively mounted with afirst support member 15 and asecond support member 16. Thefirst support member 15 and thesecond support member 16 each have a plurality of retainingportions heating tubes 12 are secured to thefirst support member 15 and thesecond support member 16, each having afirst electrode 13 disposed at one end in contact with the associatingretaining portion 151 of thefirst support member 15 and asecond electrode 14 disposed at the other end in contact with the associatingretaining portion 161 of thesecond support member 16. Theheating tubes 12 can be quartz glass tubes or ceramic tubes coated with a layer of heating film, for example, nanometered electric radiant heating film. The number of theheating tubes 12 may be changed subject to actual requirements. According to this embodiment, the number of theheating tubes 12 is 6. Further, thefirst support member 15, thesecond support member 16, and the retainingportions first electrodes 13 and thesecond electrodes 14 for electrical conduction. - The
voltage reducing line 17 comprises afirst lead wire 18 and asecond lead wire 19 respectively coupled to thefirst electrode 13 and thesecond electrode 14 so that power supply can be coupled to thefirst electrodes 13 and thesecond electrodes 14 to cause theheating tubes 12 to generate heat. - The air delivery unit 30 is comprised of a
motor 31, arack 32, and afan blade assembly 33. Therack 32 has a hollow protrudingportion 34. Themotor 31 is mounted in thehollow protruding portion 34 of therack 32 and fastened to thefan blade assembly 33. Thecarrier 11 has one end tightly sleeved onto the hollow protrudingportion 34 of therack 32. - Further,
wing members 35 are provided in thehollow protruding portion 34 and therack 32. Thewing members 35 each have a front V-notch 36 for securing thevoltage reducing line 17. - Referring to
FIG. 2 , thefirst electrode 13 and thesecond electrode 14 are coated on the outer surface of eachheating tube 12, and then theheating tubes 12 are fastened with the respective two distal ends to the retainingportions 151 of thefirst support member 15 and theretaining portions 161 of thesecond support member 16, and then themotor 31 is mounted in thehollow protruding portion 34, and then thefan blade assembly 33 is inserted into therack 32 and coupled to themotor 31, and then thecarrier 11 is tightly sleeved with its one end onto thehollow protruding portion 34, and then thefirst lead wire 18 and thesecond lead wire 19 are respectively coupled to thefirst electrodes 13 and thesecond electrodes 14 and secured to the front V-notches 36 of thewing members 35, and the installation of the heating device is thus finished. - When electrically connected, electric current goes through the
heating tubes 12 via thefirst electrodes 13 and thesecond electrodes 14, thereby causing the electric radiant heating films of theheating tubes 12 to radiate heat. At the same time, themotor 31 is started to rotate thefan blade assembly 33, thereby causing currents of air to flow through the inside of therack 32 and theheating tubes 12 toward the other side of thecarrier 11 for application.
