Abstract
A retractable electrical casing structure includes a casing and a sliding bracket connected to the casing. The casing comprises a hollow body and sliding members. The sliding bracket comprises sliding sections. The sliding bracket is able to slide with respect to the casing to vary the size of the electrical casing.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a retractable electrical casing structure, in particular to a hollow casing having sliding members and a sliding bracket having sliding sections. The sliding bracket is able to retract or to expand with respect to the casing.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- A conventional electronic casing, as shown in
FIG. 5 , comprises a hollow casing A and a connecting base B having a pair of boards B1 at two sides thereof. This design is a fixed structure and its size cannot be changed, which has a large fixed size. It requires a larger space to store and to transport. - It is the primary objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which has a compact variable size that saves storage room and space.
- It is another objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which is easy to stack together for shipment and saves shipping cost.
- It is a further objective of the present invention to provide a retractable electrical casing structure, which can be retracted to a compact size that will not cause deformation when stacking together.
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded view of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a side cross-sectional view of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a side cross-sectional view of the present invention in an operating status; -
FIG. 4 is an enlarged view ofFIG. 3 ; and -
FIG. 5 is an exploded view of the prior art. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , the present invention comprises acasing 1 and asliding bracket 2. - The
casing 1 has a hollow body having a pair of locatingplates 11 at opposite inner sides thereof. Each locatingplate 11 has a pair of locatingholes 12 thereon for insertion of slidingmembers 13. The slidingmember 13 may be a stud. Each locatingplate 11 is provided with two locatingblocks 14 between the two locatingholes 12. Thecasing 1 has a number of threadedholes 15 on its edge. Acover 16 is provided with a number of throughholes 17 corresponding in position to the threadedholes 15. Thecover 16 is secured onto thecasing 1 by insertingfasteners 18 into the throughholes 17 and the threadedholes 15. - The
sliding bracket 2 is mounted to thecasing 1, and comprises abottom board 24 and a pair of locatingplates 21 at two sides. Thebottom board 24 is secured to the locatingplates 21. Each locatingplate 21 has a pair of slidingsections 22. The slidingsections 22 are slots for the slidingmembers 13 to slide therealong. Each locatingplate 21 is provided with two locatingslots 23 between the two slidingsections 22 for engagement of the locatingblocks 14. - To assemble the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 2 , thesliding bracket 2 is inserted into thecasing 1 with thesliding sections 22 of thesliding bracket 2 aligning with the locatingholes 12 of thecasing 1. The slidingmembers 13 are inserted into the locatingholes 12, thus the slidingsections 22 of thesliding bracket 2 may slide with respect to the slidingmembers 13 of thecasing 1. Thecover 16 is secured on thecasing 1 by inserting thefasteners 18 through the throughholes 17 and the threadedholes 15 to complete the installation. - To operate the present invention, as shown in
FIGS. 3 and 4 , when it is desired to install electronic equipment, thesliding bracket 2 is pulled outward from thecasing 1. The slidingsections 22 of thesliding bracket 2 will slide with respect to the slidingmembers 13. When the slidingbracket 2 is pulled to the outside of thecasing 1, the locatingblocks 14 inside thecasing 1 will engage with the locatingslots 23 of thesliding bracket 2. Thus the slidingbracket 2 is locked with respect to thecasing 1. When the electronic equipment is secured to thebottom board 24, thecover 16 is secured onto thecasing 1 so as to complete the installation.
