Abstract
The present invention discloses a woven shutter that includes an upper rail, and the shutter has a fixed first blind fixed to a side of the upper rail and a foldable second blind movably disposed on another side of the upper rail. The first blind and the second blind have a first edge bar and a second edge bar disposed adjacent to the edges of first and second blinds respectively, and the second edge bar of the second blind has a handle, and the first and second blinds are made of a plurality of vertical sheet bodies, and each sheet body is made of longitudinally and transversally woven materials, so as to provide a shutter with the effects of ventilation, light weight and variable lines.
Description
- The present invention relates to a foldable shutter, and more particularly to a shutter structure having woven lines to provide a variable three-dimensional effect.
- Referring to
FIG. 1 for a common foldable shutter available in the market, the shutter includes a metalupper rail 1 fixed to a ceiling, and theupper rail 1 is a rectangular hollow body containing aslider 2, androllers 3 disposed on both sides of theslider 2 can be moved sideway in theupper rail 1. A channel 4 is disposed under the hollow body of theupper rail 1, and a plurality of hardplastic panels 5 are disposed under theupper rail 1, and ahanger 6 is disposed at the top of eachplastic panel 5 and connected to theslider 2, and a soft plastic film 7 is disposed between theplastic panels 5, such that eachplastic panel 5 can be folded, and thus users can simply pull the outermostplastic panel 5 by hands to spread eachplastic panel 5 to form a sheet. If it is necessary to fold theplastic panels 5, users can push the outermostplastic panel 5 inward by hands, such that allplastic panels 5 are folded, so as to achieve the movable partition purpose by the foldable shutter. - However, a general
plastic panel 5 has a specific weight, so that when the shutter is used in a wider or higher environment, the number ofplastic panels 5 will become greater, and the length of theplastic panel 5 will become larger. As a result, the weight ofplastic panels 5 dropping from the bottom of theupper rail 1 will be heavier, and theupper rail 1 will be deformed or bent, and the pulling and pushing operations of theplastic panel 5 will be unsmooth. Since theplastic panels 5 have a specific thickness without any gap, the shutter will not provide a ventilation effect. - The primary objective of the present invention is to overcome the foregoing shortcomings and avoid the existing deficiencies by providing a woven shutter that comprises a metal upper rail, and the shutter has a first blind fixed to a side of the upper rail, and a movable and foldable second blind disposed on another side of the shutter. The first and second blinds include a first edge bar and a second edge bar disposed adjacent to the sides of the first and second blinds respectively. The second edge bar of the second blind includes a handle, and the first and second blinds are made of a plurality of sheet bodies, and each sheet body forms a rectangular surface made of longitudinally and transversally woven materials, such that the shutter has a ventilation effect, and its weight is light, and its surface also provides a visual effect with variable lines.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a traditional foldable plastic shutter in accordance with a prior art; -
FIG. 2 is an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a schematic view of the details of a preferred embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a schematic view of a closed shutter in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view of a folded shutter in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention. - To make it easier for our examiner to understand the technical characteristics, objective and performance of the invention, we use a preferred embodiment together with the attached drawings for the detailed description of the invention.
- Referring
FIG. 2 , a woven shutter comprises the following elements: - A metal
upper rail 10 is a rectangular hollow body and has anopening 11 disposed under theupper rail 10, and the width of theopening 11 is smaller than the internal width of theupper rail 10. A fixed vertical plastic first blind 20 has its top fixed to a side of the bottom of theupper rail 10, and the external side of the first blind 20 can be fixed onto a wall surface (not shown in the figure), and the internal side of the first blind 20 has a verticalfirst edge bar 21, and the first blind 20 is made of asheet body 22, and thesheet body 22 and transversally woven materials form a rectangular surface with woven lines as shown inFIG. 3 . - A movable and foldable plastic second blind 30 is vertically situated at the bottom of another side of the
upper rail 10, and the second blind 30 is a whole surface made of a plurality ofsheet bodies 32 such that the width of the second blind 30 is greater than that of the first blind 20, and eachsheet body 32 is made of longitudinal and transversally woven materials that forms a rectangular surface with woven lines. A soft material is disposed between twosheet bodies 32, so that thesheet bodies 32 can be bent and folded, and the second blind 30 has a verticalsecond edge bar 31 disposed on a side adjacent to the first blind 20, and thesecond edge bar 31 includes ahandle 33, and eachsheet body 32 has aslider 34 disposed at the top of thesheet body 32. Theslider 34 has a pair ofrollers 35 disposed on both sides of theslider 34, such that theslider 34 can be installed in theupper rail 10 and moved sideway along theupper rail 10. - In this structure, a user simply needs to hold the
handle 33 on thesecond edge bar 31, if it is necessary to pull the second blind 30 towards the first blind 20, so that thesecond edge bar 31 is connected to thefirst edge bar 21 of the first blind 20, and eachsheet body 32 of the second blind 30 is spread open to form a plane and define a vertical partition with the first blind 20 as shown inFIG. 4 . On the other hand, the user just needs to hold thehandle 33 of thesecond edge bar 31 towards a side of the shutter, if it is necessary to fold eachsheet body 32 of the second blind 30, so as to foldseveral sheet bodies 32 of the second blind 30 to form an open space between the first blind 20 and the second blind 30 as shown inFIG. 5 . - Since the
sheet bodies 22□32 of the first blind 20 and the second blind 30 are made of longitudinally and transversally woven materials to form the vertical rectangular surface with a good ventilation effect and a weight lighter than that of the traditionalplastic panel 5 as shown inFIG. 1 , the load of eachsheet body 22□32 drooped from theupper rail 10 is reduced to prevent theupper rail 10 from being deformed or drooped, and provide easy and smooth operations of folding and unfolding the second blind 30. - In summation of the description above, the sample of a foldable shutter produced in accordance with the specification and related drawings of the present invention has been tested and proved to achieve the expected objectives and performance, and thus the present invention complies with the patent application requirements.
- While the invention has been described by means of specific embodiments, numerous modifications and variations could be made thereto by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention set forth in the claims.
