Abstract
A pendant includes a main body and a decoration inlaid in the main body. The main body is provided with a hollow chamber for the decoration, and the chamber is provided with a plurality of edge lines symmetrically projecting on a peripheral wall of the chamber, and each edge line has an inlay groove. The main body is further provided with a deep gap communicating with the chamber. The decoration is provided with a plurality of inlay sides. Then the gap is pushed open enough for the decoration to be made to be inlaid in the chamber, with the inlay sides respectively fitting with the inlay grooves of the main body so the decoration may be stably inlaid in the main body quickly.
Description
- The present invention is a continuation in part (CIP) of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/207,793 which is disclosed and assigned to the inventor of the present invention and thus the contents of the invention is incorporated into the present invention as a part of the present invention.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to a pendant, particularly to one having a main body and a decoration inlaid in the main body. The main body is provided with a hollow chamber formed, a plurality of edge lines symmetrically projecting on a peripheral wall of the chamber, an inlay groove formed in each edge line, a deep gap formed to communicate with the chamber in the main body, and a hanging hole. The decoration is inlaid in the chamber of the main body, having a plurality of inlay sides to fit firmly in the inlay grooves of the edge lines. Then the decoration is pushed in the chamber of the main body, after the gap is pushed open, so the decoration may be inlayed in the main body, with the inlay sides respectively fitting in the inlay grooves of the edge lines of the main body, kept stably in the main body, with the assembling process being quick.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Conventional pendants generally include a main body and a hanging member adhered or connected with the main body. The hanging member may be a chain adhered to or hooked with the main body, so the main body may often liable to get loose, separate from the hanging member and falling down.
- The objective is to offer a pendant having its decoration inlayed stably in a main body, and a hanging member never falling off the main body.
- The main feature of the invention is a main body of a pendant provided with a hollow chamber for inlaying a decoration. The chamber is provided with a plurality of edge lines symmetrically located on a peripheral wall of the chamber, with each edge line provided with an inlay groove for inlay sides of the decoration to fit with so as to let the decoration stably inlayed in the chamber by pushing open a deep gap communicating with the chamber and the decoration shoved through the gap to reach the chamber.
- This invention may be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a pendant in the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the pendant in the present invention; and, -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the pendant worn on a person in the present invention. - A preferred embodiment of a pendant in the present invention, as shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , includes amain body 1 and adecoration 2 and a hanging chain (A), - The main body is provide with a
hollow chamber 10 for inlaying adecoration 2, a plurality ofedge lines 11 extending to the center point on a peripheral wall of thechamber 10 and formed between every two curved surfaces connected in an acute angle. Further, eachedge line 11 is provided with ainlay groove 110, and themain body 1 is further provided with adeep gap 12 communicating with thechamber 10 in an upper portion, and a hanging throughhole 13 formed to extend from one of the two neighboring sides to the other for a hanging chain (A) to pass through. - The
decoration 2 is inlayed in thechamber 10, having a plurality ofinlay sides 20 to fit in theinlay grooves 110 of theedge lines 11 to inlay the decoration in themain body 1. - In assembling, referring to
FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, thegap 12 of the main body is pushed open enough for thedecoration 2 to be shoved through thegap 12 until it reaches thechamber 10, letting thedecoration 2 have theirinlay sides 20 correctly and respectively fit in theinlay grooves 110 of theedge lines 11, keeping thedecoration 2 stably inlayed in themain body 1. Then the hanging chain (A) is made to pass through the hanginghole 12, ready to be worn on a neck of a user, as shown inFIG. 3 . - The present invention can be further described in the following in details. A pendant comprises a main body provided with a hollow chamber for receiving a
decoration 2 therein; the hollow chamber being in an inner side of the main body; and two opposite opening at two ends of hollow chamber being communicated to an outer side of the main body; lateral sides between the two opening ends of the hollow chamber being enclosed by the main body; the hollow chamber having fourinlay grooves 110 extending from a center portion of the hollow chamber; all theinlay grooves 110 are communicated with one another through a center portion of the hollow chamber, the fourinlay grooves 110 are extended out from the center portion of the hollow chamber; hollow chamber having a shape of “x”; the main body further provided with adeep gap 12 communicating with the hollow chamber and each of two walls of the gap having arespective hanging hole 13 which penetrates through the main body. The main body completely encloses the hollow chamber other than a part of a periphery of one of the four inlay groove forming the gap. - A
decoration 2 is inlaid in thehollow chamber 10 and has a plurality ofinlay sides 20 respectively fitting in theinlay grooves 110 of theedge lines 11 of themain body 1; and, thegap 12 of the main body pushed open enough for thedecoration 2 shoved in thechamber 10 to be inlaid stably therein with the inlay sides of thedecoration 2 respectively fitting in theinlay grooves 110 of the edge lines of the main body so that the decoration may be inlaid in the main body with quickness and stability. The main body has four outer sides; each side has a concave cambered shape; and each side of the main body is connected to another side of the main body. - While the preferred embodiment has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modification may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
