Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention generally relates to an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame. The movable frame may be incorporated into a lifting device, such as, for example, a scissor lift, an aerial lift and/or the like. The apparatus and the system provide a base having exterior walls for connecting to and/or removably attaching to the movable frame. The exterior walls may extend vertically from the base to form, for example, a shelf. Interior walls may extend from the base to define, for example, compartments on the base. The interior walls may be removable from the base. The interior walls may be adjustable to change a number, a width and/or a length of the compartments. In addition, the base may have a front wall and a rear wall which may connect to and/or attach to the exterior walls. The rear wall, front wall and exterior walls may form, for example, a drawer. The shelf, the compartments and/or the drawer may store and/or may contain the articles. The apparatus and the system may form and/or may provide multiple drawers, compartments and/or shelves for storing the articles.
  • It is generally known that maintenance, repairs and construction are frequently required in locations and/or positions which are difficult to reach. Lifting devices, such as, for example, scissor lifts may be used to raise an individual into a position to repair, construct and/or maintain an item. The individual may perform a task, for example, repairing an item, such as, for example, repairing a faulty wire, replacing a light bulb, securing a loose conduit, plugging a water leak, tightening a nut or a bolt and/or the like. The task may be, for example, installing an item, such as, for example, installing a water line, securing dry wall to a ceiling, installing a ceiling fan, installing a chandelier, attaching an advertisement to a billboard and/or the like. The task may be maintaining items, such as, for example, washing windows, painting ceilings, cleaning light fixtures and/or the like.
  • The task may require a tool, such as, for example, a wire cutter, a screwdriver, a level, a voltage meter, a brush, a drill, a wrench, a hammer, measuring tape, a ruler, electrical tape, a hammer, a bucket, pipe threaders, pipe cutters, a saw and/or the like. In addition, the task may require accessories, such as, for example, nails, screws, nuts, bolts, identification tags, string, drill bits and/or the like. The tools and/or the accessories may vary in size and shape.
  • Generally, the task may require multiple tools and/or multiple accessories to repair, to construct and/or to maintain items. The individual may stand on a platform of the lifting device. The lifting device may lift and/or may position the individual a distance from the ground. The individual may carry and/or may hold the tools and/or the accessories required for the task. However, the task may require more tools and/or more accessories than the individual can carry and/or can hold on the platform of the lifting device. As a result, the individual may merely complete a portion of the task. Afterward, the individual may lower the lifting device to the ground to store the tools and/or the accessories. In addition, the individual may obtain additional tools and/or additional accessories to complete a remaining portion of the task. Requiring the individual to be lowered to the ground and raised and/or lifted into position repeatedly is time consuming. In addition, the individual may be paid and/or may be compensated on a time basis by an employer. Therefore, lifting and/or lowering the individual repeatedly may be costly to the employer.
  • Furthermore, the task may require the individual to hold and/or to grasp the item while using a first tool and/or a first accessory. As a result, the individual may place and/or may position a second tool and/or a second accessory on the platform of the lifting device. However, the individual may step on the second tool and/or the second accessory. The individual may slip, may become off-balanced and/or may be injured by stepping on the second tool and/or the second accessory. As a result, positioning the second tool and/or the second accessory on the platform of the lifting device may pose safety risks to the individual.
  • In addition, the individual may accidentally move, contact and/or push the second tool and/or the second accessory from the platform of the lifting device. The second tool and/or the second accessory may fall toward the ground and may hit and/or may contact a bystander. Therefore, the second tool and/or the second accessory may pose safety risks to a bystander.
  • A need, therefore, exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may connect to, may attach to and/or may secure to a lifting device. Additionally, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may have a compartment for storing the articles, the accessories and/or the tools. Further, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may have a shelf for storing and/or securing the articles, the tools and/or the accessories. Still further, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may have store and/or may secure the articles, the tools and/or the accessories at a distance from a platform of a lifting device. Moreover, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame where the articles may vary in size and/or in shape. Furthermore, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may have a compartment adjustable to a size of the articles, the tools and/or the accessories. In addition, a need exists for a system and a method for storing articles which may prevent tools, accessories and/or the articles from falling from a lifting device. Further, a need exists for an apparatus, a system and a method for storing articles on a movable frame which may limit an individual from using a lifting device to repeatedly lower and repeatedly lift the individual into position to complete a task.
