Abstract
A fixing device for memory is disclosed. The fixing device includes a frame, a pair of support rails, and an elastic piece. The frame includes two sides facing to each other. The support rails are mounted on the two sides of the frame. Each support rail defines a slide groove and a clip groove respectively. The elastic piece is positioned between the support rails. The fixing device can fix memory with no screws.
Description
- 1. Technical Field
- The present invention relates to a fix device for memory.
- 2. General Background
- Memory such as hard disk/CD driver are usually fixed on a computer's frame by screws. To fix or remove the memory, an operator needs to fix or remove the screws first. It's hard sledding and time consuming.
- Therefore, what is needed is a fixing device which can fix the memory with no screws.
- A fixing device for memory is disclosed. The fixing device includes a frame, a pair of support rails, and an elastic piece. The frame includes two sides facing to each other. The support rails are mounted on the two sides of the frame. Each support rail defines a slide groove and a clip groove. The elastic piece is positioned between the support rails.
- Further features and advantages will be provided or will become apparent in the course of the following detailed description.
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic, isometric view of a fixing device with memories assembled according to a first embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is another schematic, isometric view of the fixing device with the memories assembled ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is an schematic, isometric view of a load-supporting part of the fixing device ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 4 is an schematic, isometric view of the memory ofFIG. 1 ; and -
FIG. 5 is an schematic, isometric view of the load-supporting part with the memory assembled ofFIG. 1 . - Referring to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , afixing device 50 is disclosed. Thefixing device 50 is used for fixingmemories 20. Thememories 20 may be hard disks or CD drivers. Thefixing device 50 includes aframe 10 and load-support 60 mounted on theframe 10. - The
frame 10 is a regular polyhedron, for example, an oblong cube as that shown inFIG. 1 . Theframe 10 has six sides, i.e., top/bottom sides 11, left/right sides 13, and front/back sides openings 17. Theopenings 17 of each of the top/bottom sides 11 are in a same shape, for example, a triangle, and are arranged in a form of a parallelogram. The front/back sides back side 16 of theframe 11 has twoback bars 18 extending between edges of theback side 16 and the left/right sides 13. - Referring to
FIG. 3 , the load-supportingpart 60 includes a pair ofsupport rails 30 and anelastic piece 40. Thesupport rail 30 defines aslide groove 35. Theslide groove 35 includes a firsthorizontal groove 31, atilted groove 32, and a secondhorizontal groove 33 connected together in that order. Aclip groove 34 is L-shaped and communicates with the firsthorizontal groove 31. Two ends of theelastic piece 40 are connected to an end of each of the twosupport rails 30 correspondingly. The load-support 60 is mounted on the left/right sides 13 of theframe 10. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , an end of the firsthorizontal groove 31 is positioned at a common border between thefront side 15 and theleft side 13. Two ends of theelastic piece 40 are welded into the twoback bars 18. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , thememory 20 includes a pair offirst slide shafts 22 and a pair ofsecond slide shafts 21. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 , 2, and 5, when thememory 20 is pushed under a push force, thefirst slide shafts 22 enter into and slide along theslide grooves 35, and thesecond slide shafts 21 successively enter into and slide along theslide grooves 35 until reaching the entrance of theclip grooves 34. Before thesecond slide shafts 21 enter into the entrance of theclip grooves 34, thememory 20 presses theelastic piece 40 and thus having an elastic deformation. After thesecond slide shafts 21 enter into theclip grooves 34, the push force to thememory 20 is removed, and then thesecond slide shafts 21 are locked in theclip grooves 34 due to the recoiling of theelastic piece 40. In this way, thememory 20 is fixed in thefixing device 50. - Moreover, it is to be understood that the invention may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the invention is not to be limited to the details given herein.
