As can be seen, such a holder would allow chip to be dropped. Also, the holder does not allows for cards, money or a cell phone to be held in one place.
  • The present invention, though, provides a closed top poker holder that also holds money, cards and a cell phone in a safe and closed manner.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to game chip holders and more particularly to a closed game chip holder that also holds money, cards and a cell phone.
  • According to one embodiment of the present invention, a game chip organizer, the organizer comprising: a base portion having a bottom and four sides; a top portion having a top and four sides, at least one side hindgedly attached to the base portion to provide a organizer that opens and closes and the inside of the organizer contains at least one game chip tray; at least one support to support the at least one game chip tray; and a drawer in the base portion of the game chip organizer.
  • A game chip organizer, the organizer comprising: a base portion having a bottom and four sides; a top portion having a top and four sides, at least one side hindgedly attached to the base portion to provide a organizer that opens and closes wherein the outside of the top has an indented portion for applying an advertisement and the inside of the organizer contains at least one game chip tray; at least one support to support said at least one game chip tray; a drawer in the base portion of the game chip organizer; and an opening with a spring loaded bottom and a sliding cover.

  • These and other features, aspects and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings, description and claims.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 depicts a game chip organizer according to the present invention in the closed position;
  • FIG. 2 depicts a game chip organizer according to the present invention in the open position;
  • FIG. 3 depicts a game chip organizer according to the present invention; and
  • FIG. 4 depicts a game chip organizer according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 depicts a game chip organizer according to the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated modes of carrying out the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention, since the scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1-3, the present invention provides a game chip organizer 10, the organizer 10 comprising: a base portion 12 having a bottom and four sides (e.g. 14, 16); a top portion 18 having a top 20 and four sides (e.g. 22, 24, 26, 28), at least one side (28) hindgedly (30) attached to the base portion 12 to provide a organizer that opens and closes and the inside 32 of the organizer 10 contains at least one game chip tray 34. FIG. 1 depicts the organizer 10 in a closed position. The organizer may be made of plastic. FIG. 2 depicts the organizer 10 in an open position. There may be at least one game chip tray (e.g. 36) contained in the organizer. The outside of the top may have an indented portion 17 for applying an advertisement. The front portion 42 of the organizer 10 may be transparent. Another section or the entire organizer may also be transparent without departing from the present invention. This may be transparent plastic, for example. This is to be able to keep track of the number of chips 23 in the organizer. It would be desirable for the player to be able view the number of chips 23, while at the same time to keep the chips 23 securely contained. It is desirable that it is the front of the container, as you may not want other players to know how many chips 23 you have. There may also be a handle 90, as shown in FIG. 5.

As shown, there is a bottom 50 that has at least one spring in contact with it to allows for adjustment according to the desired size. The opening 58 with a spring 52 loaded bottom 50 and a sliding cover 56. It should be understand the opening and the drawing may be anywhere in the container, and is as shown merely to show one possible placement of the opening and the drawer. The sliding cover 56 slides over rectangular opening 41 to allow the mobile phone to go into opening 58. The term rectangular opening 41 is intended to refer to the rectangular cutout in the base portion 12 that is slidably covered by the sliding cover 56 to reveal the opening 58 behind it. FIG. 4 depicts the sliding cover 56 in the semi-opened position. As shown, the sliding cover 56 slides over to reveal an opening 58 for the receipt of the mobile phone. A large mobile phone would simply push back the bottom 20. The spring loaded bottom 20 is adjustable according to the desired size of the opening 58. Once the mobile phone or other item is contained in the opening, the sliding cover 56 may be slid back to the right to cover the opening. This is one placement of the opening 58 which may be anywhere along the base portion 12 or the top portion 18. It is only sufficient that there be room for the game chip tray 34 and the opening 58. They may even be side by side. It is preferred, though, that the opening 58 is in the base portion 12 below the at least one game chip trays 34. There may also be more than one game chip tray 34 which is stackable.
  • Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
