Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to a removable door for an oven, easy and convenient for washing, disassembling and re-assembling.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- A common conventional oven always has a door set at the front side and opened pivotally downwards to keep convenient for putting and taking out food in the oven. But, the door usually is unable to be disassembled, limiting it to be wiped clean only by a rag, uneasy to be completely washed, especially for oily contamination. Moreover, as shown in
FIG. 1 , if the conventional oven is big, auser 11, owing to be blocked by the opened door in a flat condition, cannot reach theinterior 12 of the oven by hand for washing so that it must be often done by an auxiliary means. Therefore, this invention has been revised to overcome the defects mentioned above. - The objective of this invention is to offer a removable door for an oven.
- The main feature of the invention is two fixed bases respectively fixed at two sidewalls of the oven body and two positioning bases respectively fixed at two sides of an oven door. Each fixed base is provided with a roller, a stopper and a locking hook. Each positioning base is provided with a leaning rod, a spring fitting around on the leaning rod, a linking rod, two connecting plates and a position controller. The linking rod is provided with a front end connected pivotally to the positioning base by a pivotal, an arc surface on the top, a fixing groove near the front end, a tapered hook at a rear end and a hook in a lower side. Each connecting plate is connected pivotally with the positioning base by a pivotal at one end and with the position controller by a pivotal at the other end. The position controller is provided with a top edge at the other end leaning against under the stopper, a filling recess at the bottom for fitting with the locking hook and a locking ring for locking with the hook of the linking rod.
- This invention is better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a conventional oven, showing its door being opened for washing; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it being closed; -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it opened; -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing a hook being locked by a locking ring; -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it being lifted up from the opened condition; and -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention, showing it disassembled. - As shown in
FIG. 2 , a preferred embodiment of a removable door for an oven in the present invention includes anoven body 2 and anoven door 3, twofixed bases 20 respectively fixed at two sidewalls of theoven body 2 and twopositioning bases 30 respectively fixed at two sides of theoven door 3. Onefixed base 2 and onepositioning base 3 functions as a unit. - Each
fixed base 20 is provided with aroller 21 in an upper portion, astopper 22 and alocking hook 23 in a lower portion. - Each
positioning base 30 is provided with aleaning rod 31, aspring 32 fitted around theleaning rod 31, a linkingrod 4 connected pivotally to an intermediate portion, two connectingplates position controller 7 sandwiched between the connectingplates rod 4 is provided with afront end 40 connected pivotally to thepositioning base 30 by a pivotal 41 and compressed by theleaning rod 31, anarc surface 42 formed on the top, afixing groove 43 formed near thefront end 40, atapered hook 45 formed in arear end 44 and ahook 46 formed in a lower side. Each of the connectingplates positioning base 30 by apivot position controller 7 by apivot position controller 7 is provided with atop edge 70 at the other end leaning upwards against thestopper 22 of thefixed base 20, a fitting recess 71 at the bottom for fitting with thelocking hook 23 of thefixed base 20 and alocking ring 72 for locking with thehook 46 of the linkingrod 4. - In using, as shown in
FIGS. 2 and 3 , when theoven door 3 is opened, thefront end 40 of therod 4, because it is compressed by leaningrod 31 that is elastically compressed by thespring 32, is to be simultaneously pulled outwards by the oven door. By the time, thearc surface 42 of therod 4 can move along theroller 21 of thefixed base 20. So when theoven door 3 is opened to the widest position, thetapered hook 45 of therear end 44 of therod 4 is to hook with theroller 21 of thefixed base 20 so as to keep theoven door 3 at that position immovable, as shown inFIG. 3 . Also, because theposition controller 7 is fixed on thefixed base 20 and the connectingplates oven door 3 is moved for opening, theoven door 3 can be opened smoothly without difficulty. On the contrary, when theoven door 3 is to be closed, thearc surface 42 of therod 4 is to move along theroller 21 until theroller 21 sits in thefitting recess 43, carrying out closing theoven door 3, as shown inFIG. 2 . - As shown in
FIGS. 2-6 , when the oven in the invention is to be cleaned, theoven door 3 has to be opened first as shown inFIG. 3 . Then, thelocking ring 72 of theposition controller 7 is rotated to lock on thehook 46 of therod 4 to keep therod 4 linked together with theposition controller 7, as shown inFIG. 4 . Next, lift up theoven door 3 slightly as shown inFIG. 5 . By the time, thetapered hook 45 of therear end 44 of therod 4 is moved away from theroller 21 of thefixed base 20, and thefitting recess 71 of theposition controller 7 is separated from thelocking hook 23 of thefixed base 20, enabling thewhole oven door 3 to be removed outwards, as shown inFIG. 6 . Therefore, theoven door 3 and the interior of the oven can be cleaned up easily. On the contrary, when theoven door 3 is to be re-assembled, keep theoven door 3 inclined slightly so as to enable therod 4 to extend in thefixed base 20, with thetop edge 70 of theposition controller 7 leaning against under thestopper 22 of thefixed base 20 and thelocking ring 72 of theposition controller 7 facing right against thelocking hook 23 of thefixed base 20. Then, press down theoven door 3 and remove thelocking ring 72 of theposition controller 7 to separate from thetapered hook 46 of therod 4, and make the fitting recess 71 of theposition controller 7 fitted with thelocking hook 23 of thefixed base 20, as shown inFIG. 3 , finishing re-assembling theoven door 3. - The invention has the following advantages as can be seen from the foresaid description.
- 1. By means of the mutual match of the
rod 4 and theroller 21, theoven door 3 can be stably positioned whenever it is closed or opened. - 2. The
oven door 3 is removable, convenient for washing. - 3. It is very easy and convenient to dissemble or re-assemble the
oven door 3. - While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
