Abstract
Disclosed is a cosmetic case in which a body and a cover thereof are integrally formed by a single process with a single mold, respectively, so that the manufacturing cost of the molds and the assembling cost can be reduced, thereby improving the economical efficiency. The cover can be softly and freely opened and closed by one touch. Further, the cosmetic case can be safely and firmly sealed so that the cosmetic in the case can be prevented from being volatilized, thereby maintaining the original function of the cosmetic.
Description
- This application claims the benefit of Korean Patent Application No. 10-2006-0012456, filed on Feb. 9, 2006, in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.
- The present invention relates to a cosmetic case which can reduce the manufacturing cost by integrally forming a body and a cover thereof by a single process with a single mold, respectively, which can easily open and close the cover by one touch, and which can safely maintain and keep the contents.
- Conventionally, since a body and a cover of a cosmetic case have been manufactured by using a plurality of parts which are formed by complex processes which need a plurality of molds, the manufacturing cost of the molds and the assembling cost of the parts have been high.
- Further, although some conventional cosmetic cases can be automatically opened, a sealing structure of a packing portion making contact with the peripheral portion of the upper end of the body in which a cosmetic is contained is so vulnerable that the alcohol component in the cosmetic may be volatilized, thereby deteriorating the original function of the cosmetic.
- Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic case which can reduce the manufacturing cost by integrally forming a body and a cover thereof by a single process with a single mold, respectively, and which can safely and firmly seal the cosmetic case by using the sealing structure of a plate-like annular packing interposed in the cover making contact with the peripheral portion of the upper end of the body so that a cosmetic therein is prevented from being volatilized and the original function of the cosmetic can be maintained.
- The above and other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be more apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view for showing a cosmetic case according to the present invention, with a cover opened; -
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIG. 3 is a rear view for showing shaft support portions of a body and a cover of a cosmetic case according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view for showing a cosmetic case according to the present invention, with a case closed; and -
FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view for describing the operation for opening a cover of a cosmetic case according to the present invention. - Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of a leftover food-treating device according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- A
body 1 and acover 2 are formed by a single process with one mold (not shown), respectively. An upperend protruding wall 3 protrudes from a peripheral portion of the upper end of the peripheral wall 1 a forming the body. Aspace portion 4 is formed on the front side of the outer peripheral wall of the body. Apressure applying piece 6, from which an outward lockingboss 5 protrudes, is integrally formed with thebody 1. - Shaft support
holes 7 and 7 a are formed on the rear side of the outer peripheral wall of thebody 1. Further, a shaft receivingrecess 8 is formed on the rear side of the outer peripheral wall of thebody 1. - An
inner race protrusion 9 protrudes from an inner lower end portion of theperipheral wall 2 a forming thecover 2 so as to define aninner race groove 10. A resilient plate-likeannular packing 11 is interposed in theinner race groove 10. Adownward support member 12 integrally formed with theperipheral wall 2 a of thecover 2 is formed on the rear side of thecover 2. Ashaft receiving portion 12 a is formed at an lower end portion of thedownward support member 12, by forming ashaft pin hole 13 a into which ashaft pin 13 is inserted. Alocking piece 15, from which aninward locking boss 14 protrudes, is integrally formed with theperipheral wall 2 a of thecase 2 on the front side of thecover 2. - A
shaft receiving portion 12 a formed at a lower end portion of thedownward support member 12 of thecover 2, which is formed by a single mold, is interposed in a shaft receivingrecess 8 formed on the rear side of the outer peripheral wall of thebody 2. Theshaft pin hole 13 a of theshaft receiving portion 12 a is arranged so as to be side by side with theshaft support holes 7 and 7 a formed to both sides of theshaft receiving recess 8, and ashaft pin 13 is inserted into one of theshaft support holes 7 and 7 a and then theshaft pin hole 13 a and the other of the shaft supportholes 7 and 7 a. Thereafter, by rotating thecover 2 to the upper side of thebody 1, thelocking piece 15 formed on the front side of thecover 2 is moved toward the upper end of thepressure applying piece 6 formed on the front side of the outer peripheral wall of thebody 1 and thus the inward lockingboss 14 inwardly protruding from thelocking piece 15 of thecover 2 inwardly applies a pressure to the outward lockingboss 5 protruding from thepressure applying piece 6 of thebody 2 so that the inward and outward lockingbosses annular packing 11 interposed in theinner race groove 10 of thecover 2 applies a pressure to the upperend protruding wall 3 formed at the peripheral portion of the upper end of the body. Therefore, thecover 2 can safely and firmly cover the upper end of thebody 1. - On the other hand, if a pressure is inwardly applied to the
pressure applying piece 6 of thebody 1 to open thecover 2, thepressure applying piece 6 is urged to the inner side of thespace portion 4 and theinward locking boss 14 of thecover 2, which is engaged with the outwardlocking boss 5, is released so that thecover 2 can be opened softly and freely. - The
cover 2 can be softly and freely opened and closed by one touch, with a cosmetic received in thebody 1. Further, since the upper end protruding wall of thebody 1 is safely and firmly closed by the resilient plate-like annular packing of wide sealing area, an alcohol component of the cosmetic can be perfectly prevented from being volatilized, with the original function of the cosmetic being safely maintained. - According to the present invention, since the body and the cover are manufactured by a single process with one mold so as to have a single body, respectively, the manufacturing cost of the molds can be remarkably reduced. Further, since the shaft receiving portion, which is formed of a same material so as to have a single structure, is interposed in the shaft receiving recess of the body by inserting only one shaft pin into the shaft receiving portion in order to assemble the cover with the body, the manufacturing cost of the cosmetic case can be remarkably reduced, thereby improving the economical efficiency. Furthermore, since the cover is opened and closed by one touch, the cosmetic case can be simply and easily used and treated. Furthermore, since the cosmetic is efficiently sealed in the cosmetic case, the cosmetic can be prevented from being volatilized, thereby maintaining the original function of the cosmetic so that the cosmetic can be used in a fresh state.
- Although a preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.
