Abstract
A box for receiving an electrostatic fabric includes a top cover, a sliding member and a bottom cover. The sliding member is received and slidable in the box, and has a fixing portion mounting with an electrostatic fabric and a tongue having a through opening adjacent to the fixing portion. Two resilient arms extend from the fixing portion toward the through opening of the tongue, and two sliding blocks are provided at free ends of the two resilient arms, in which the two sliding blocks cooperate with two stoppers of the top cover to selectively control the sliding member at a lock state and a release state. When the sliding member is located at a lock state, the electrostatic fabric extends outside the box through a first opening of the box, but when the sliding member is located at a release state, the electrostatic fabric retracts in the box.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric, which can avoid the electrostatic fabric being exposed to the environment to adsorb dusts when not to be used, thereby keeping its cleaning function.
- 2. The Prior Arts
- As is widely known, it is very efficient to use an electrostatically charged fabric to clean surfaces of objects, such as optical disks, monitors, and optical components, due to the charges in the fabric attracting and holding dust particles. So, electrostatic fabrics are generally used in our everyday life. However, if the electrostatic fabrics are exposed to the environment when they are not used, they will easily adsorb dusts, thereby degrading their clean function. Hence, that is a big problem how to avoid the electrostatic fabrics being stained with dusts when they are not used. In addition, it is inconvenient to stow in order the conventional electrostatic fabrics.
- Thus, it is desired to provide with a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric that allows the electrostatic fabric to extend outside the box when to be used and retract in the box when not to be used.
- An objective of the present invention is to provide a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric, whereby the electrostatic fabric can be retracted in the box to avoid adsorbing dusts when not to be used, thereby keeping its cleaning function.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric, which is convenient to carry and stow in order.
- To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric in accordance with the present invention comprises a top cover, a sliding member and a bottom cover. After the top cover and the bottom cover are assembled together, a first opening is formed at one end of the box and a second opening is formed at the other end of the box. The sliding member is received and slidable in the box, and has a fixing portion mounting with an electrostatic fabric and a tongue having a through opening adjacent to the fixing portion. Two resilient arms extend from the fixing portion toward the through opening of the tongue, and two sliding blocks are provided at free ends of the two resilient arms, in which the two sliding blocks cooperate with two stoppers of the top cover to selectively control the sliding member at a lock state and a release state. When the sliding member is located at a lock state, the electrostatic fabric extends outside the box through a first opening of the box, but when the sliding member is located at a release state, the electrostatic fabric retracts in the box. Hence, the electrostatic fabric will not adsorb dusts when not to be used, thereby keeping its cleaning function.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric in accordance the present invention, in which the electrostatic fabric retracts in the box; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the box of the present invention, in which the electrostatic fabric extends outside the box; -
FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the box of the present invention; -
FIG. 4 a is a sectional view of the box of the present invention showing that a sliding member locates at a release state and thus the electrostatic fabric retracts in the box; -
FIG. 4 b is a sectional view of the box of the present invention showing that the sliding member locates at a lock state and thus the electrostatic fabric extends outside the box; and -
FIG. 4 c is a sectional view of the box of the present invention showing the movement of the sliding member when pushing a button to lower two resilient arms to release a lock state thereof. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-3 and in particular toFIG. 3 , a box for receiving an electrostatic fabric constructed in accordance with the present invention, generally designated withreference numeral 100, comprises a top cover 1, abottom cover 2, and asliding member 3. The slidingmember 3 has afixing portion 33 mounting with anelectrostatic fabric 39 and atongue 31 having a through opening 34 adjacent to thefixing portion 33. Thebottom cover 2 has afirst notch 22 and asecond notch 24, and the top cover 1 has athird notch 12 and afourth notch 14. Thebottom cover 2 has but not limited to fourpositioning holes 21, and the top cover 1 has but not limited to fourpositioning pins 11 corresponding to the fourpositioning holes 21. When the top cover 1 and thebottom cover 2 are assembled together, thefirst notch 22 and thethird notch 12 forms a first opening 52 (seeFIG. 1 ) at one end of thebox 100, and thesecond notch 24 and thefourth notch 14 forms a second opening 54 (seeFIG. 4 b) at the other end thereof, so that theelectrostatic fabric 39 can selectively extend outside thebox 100 through thefirst opening 52, while thetongue 31 of thesliding member 3 selectively retracts in thebox 100 through thesecond opening 54. - Also referring to
FIG. 3 , the top cover 1 has ahole 16, twoguides 13 and twostoppers 15 respectively located at both sides of thehole 16, in which eachstopper 15 has aninclined plane 151 and avertical plane 152. Thebottom cover 2 has a guidingpost 23 corresponding to thehole 16 of the top cover 1. - The two
sliders 35 extend from a top surface of thetongue 31, each of which is received and slidable in the twoguides 13 of the top cover 1, respectively. Eachslider 35 has aninclined plane 351 for easily sliding in theguide 13. Tworesilient arms 37 extend from thefixing portion 33 toward the through opening 34 of thetongue 31, and top surfaces of the tworesilient arms 37 at free ends thereof are located above thetongue 31. Two slidingblocks 38, each of which has aninclined plane 381 and a vertical plane 382 (seeFIG. 4 a), are provided at free ends of the tworesilient arms 37, respectively. Furthermore, Twohooks 36 extend outwardly from two opposite sides of thetongue 31 of the slidingmember 3, respectively. - As described above, the two
guides 13 on the top cover 1 act to guide the twosliders 35 of the slidingmember 3 and keep the slidingmember 3 from swaying in the transverse direction. Further, two ribs 18 projects from an inner surface of the top cover 1, and another tworibs 28 projects from an inner surface of thebottom cover 2. After the top cover 1 and thebottom cover 2 are assembled, the tworibs 18 abuts against a top surface of thefixing portion 33 of the slidingmember 3, while the tworibs 28 abuts against a bottom surface of thefixing portion 33 of the slidingmember 3, so as to maintain the slidingmember 3 stable in the vertical direction. - In assembling, first, a
helical spring 42 is sleeved on the guidingpost 23 of thebottom cover 2; then, twosprings 44 connects the twohooks 36 of the slidingmember 3 and twofixing post 27 of thebottom cover 2; abutton 46 having aflange 461, which has a larger diameter than a distance between the tworesilient arms 37 and a diameter of thehole 16, is coupled to an end of thehelical spring 42 and is biased by thehelical spring 42 against thehole 16 of the top cover 1, and theflange 461 is between thehole 16 and the tworesilient arms 37; the twosliders 35 of the slidingmember 3 are received and slidable in the twoguides 13 of the top cover 1; and finally, the fourpositioning pins 11 of the top cover 1 is coupled to the fourpositioning holes 21 of thebottom cover 2. Additionally, it should be noted that two of the fourpositioning holes 21 on thebottom cover 2 are formed on the twofixing posts 27, respectively. - Referring to
FIG. 4 a, due to the restoring force of the two springs 44 (seeFIG. 3 ), thetongue 31 of the slidingmember 3 extends outside thebox 100 through the second opening 54 of thebox 100 and theelectrostatic fabric 39 retracts in thebox 100. Referring toFIG. 4 b, when pushing thetongue 31 of the slidingmember 3 into thebox 100, theinclined plane 381 of the slidingblock 38 on theresilient arm 37 moves along theinclined plane 151 of thestopper 15 on the top cover 1 so that thevertical plane 152 of thestopper 15 and thevertical plane 382 of the slidingblock 38 are in contact with each other to set them at a lock state. At this time, theelectrostatic fabric 39 extends outside thebox 100 through thefirst opening 52 while thetongue 31 of the slidingmember 3 runs into thebox 100. That means theelectrostatic fabric 39 is at a use state. Also, the twosprings 44 are in a tension state. - Referring to
FIG. 4 c, when pushing thebutton 46 to lower theresilient arms 37 to release the lock state, the slidingmember 3 is drawn back by the restoring force of the twosprings 44 and thus theelectrostatic fabric 39 runs into thebox 100. That means theelectrostatic fabric 39 is at a storage state. Hence, theelectrostatic fabric 39 will not adsorb dusts when not used, thereby keeping its cleaning function. - Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiment thereof, it is apparent to those skilled in the art that a variety of modifications and changes may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention which is intended to be defined by the appended claims.
Claims (7)
1. A box for receiving an electrostatic fabric, comprising:
a top cover having a hole, two guides, two stoppers, a plurality of positioning pins, and a third notch and a fourth notch;
a sliding member having a fixing portion mounting with an electrostatic fabric, a tongue having a through opening adjacent to the fixing portion, two sliders extending from a top surface of the tongue, which are received and slidable in the two guides of the top cover, two resilient arms extending from the fixing portion toward the through opening of the tongue and having two sliding blocks provided at free ends thereof, in which the two sliding blocks and the two stoppers of the top cover cooperate with each other to selectively control the sliding member at a lock state and a release state, two hooks provided at each side of the tongue;
a bottom cover having a guiding post corresponding to the hole of the top cover, a plurality of positioning holes corresponding to the plurality of positioning pins, and a third notch and a fourth notch;
a button having a flange and coupled to an end of a helical spring sleeved on the guiding post of the bottom cover, in which the button is biased by the helical spring against the hole of the top cover and the flange is between the hole of the top cover and the two resilient arms of the sliding member, two springs connecting the two hooks and two fixing post of the bottom cover, whereby when the top cover and the bottom cover are assembled, the first notch and the third notch forms a first opening at one end of the box, and the second notch and the fourth notch forms a second opening at the other end thereof, so that the electrostatic fabric can selectively extend outside the box through the first opening, while the tongue of the sliding member selectively retracts in the box through the second opening thereof.
2. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the two sliding blocks each have an inclined plane and a vertical plane, and the two stoppers each have an inclined plane and a vertical plane corresponding to the inclined plane and the vertical plane of the two sliding blocks, respectively.
3. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein top surfaces of the two resilient arms at free ends thereof are located above the tongue of the sliding member.
4. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the flange of the button has a diameter larger than a distance between the two resilient arms and a diameter of the hole of the top cover.
5. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the two sliders each have an inclined plane for easily sliding in each guide of the top cover.
6. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein two of the plurality of positioning holes are formed on the two fixing posts, respectively.
7. The box as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the top cover further has two ribs projecting from an inner surface thereof and abutting against a top surface of the fixing portion of the sliding member, and the bottom cover further has two ribs projecting from an inner surface thereof and abutting against a bottom surface of the fixing portion of the sliding member.
