- The concept of “Seat Saddle Bag” is a practical accessory which is designed to safely and securely store a purse, hat, books, baby items or any item that need to be stored away. This product would provide an easily accessible and safe location to house the accessories at various public places including restaurants. Thus, these items would not have to be placed on the floor or uncomfortably positioned within the individual's lap or on the table or hanging on the chair. While the “Seat Saddle Bag” could be of appeal to anyone who carries a purse or a hat, there will also be a commercial version produce.
- The “Seat Saddle Bag” would consist of a rectangle product produced with 210 Denier Nylon waterproof material. This product is comprised of a section of fabric which rest atop the seat of a chair, you are seating on this section of fabric (the seat cover), the front or back of a wheelchair, a walker and the back of the drivers or passenger seat in an automobile. The person in the wheelchair would have the option of using the Bag to hang over the back of the chair with the pouch hanging over the back area or the pouch can be placed in front of the chair with the pouch hanging under their legs. A person with a walker would have the pouch in front. Extending from this component are straps through which the seat cover is secured to the leg of the chair, the bars of the walker, and the arm rest of a wheelchair. Extending from the seat covering is a storage bag or pouch which hangs in front of, in back of or on either side of the a seat. The bag features a flap which has Velcro that connects the flap to the storage area so the accessories can safely be secured. The “Seat Saddle Bag” storage area comes in three sizes, small—10.½ inches, medium—12.½ inches and large—14.½ inches, long and all 15 inches wide. The flap, which also, converts into a carrying case for the pouch is 10 inches long and 9 inches wide. The seat cover and the pouch folds up and you insert them into the flap pocket, once converted the entire carrying case is 9 inches wide and 5 inches long and ¾ inch thick. The “Seat Saddle Bag” also comes in any color that is requested.
Claims (1)
1. I claim the seat saddle bag works with any seat, chair, wheelchair or a walker.
The seat cover portion extends over the seat, you are seating on the cover. The straps, at the end of the seat cover are the straps which you attach to either the arms or legs by tieing the straps.
The pouch or pocket portion hangs over the front of the seat, the side or the back and you place your items (hat, purse can, bottles, papers,etc.) inside and close the flap. The valcro keeps the flap closed securly.
