Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a toilet, and particularly to a toilet which has a tank and a toilet bowl detached from each other, wherein the tank has articles holing structure for raising utility of the toilet and has ergonomic design to make the user take articles comfortably during defecating.
- 2. Related Art
- A bathroom is often narrow when it is filled with toilet, lavatory, bathtub, etc. Sometimes Mirror support is even designed as a cabinet for storing various articles, such as shampoo, washing foam, tooth paste and tooth brush. These days People are used to read newspapers or magazines during defecating. However, it is rarely to provide book shelf or specified place for storing newspapers or magazines in such a narrow and small residential bathroom. Generally, people simply place the books, magazines, and newspapers on the cover of toilet tank where people can easily reach while sitting on the toilet. In this case, the bathroom appears untidy.
- In prior art, some toilets provide articles holding room on a cover of the tank thereof. For instance, such designs are illustrated in China Utility Patent CN03238113.1 and U.S. Pat. No. 5,862,536. As shown in FIG. 7, in China Utility Patent CN03238113.1, a
concave slot 90 is defined at a side of thetank 9 for reserving articles. - As shown in FIG. 8, in U.S. Pat. No. 5,862,536,
article holding room 80 is integrated with thetank 8 and is oriented at a rear thereof for reserving articles. - However, the
concave slot 90 of China Utility Patent CN03238113.1 and thearticle holding room 80 of U.S. Pat. No. 5,862,536 are both disposed on rear of the user during defecating. The user has to turn laterally and make his hand reversely to get magazines or books, thus it is uneasy and inconvenient for the user. - In addition, the
concave slot 90 of China Utility Patent CN03238113.1 and thearticle holding room 80 of U.S. Pat. No. 5,862,536 are both bare, tending to remain dirt, and therefore can not meet sanitation need. - Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a toilet which has ergonomic design to make the user take articles comfortably during defecating, and which includes a tank and a toilet bowl detached from each other, wherein a storing chamber is provided below the tank for storing articles, such as books, and the user may droop his hand by nature and fetch articles in the storing chamber easily and comfortably.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a toilet which prevents dirt and facilitates cleaning.
- To achieve the above-mentioned object, a toilet of the present invention comprises a toilet bowl and a tank detachably connecting with each other. The tank defines a water cavity on an upper portion thereof. An operating element is provided above the water cavity. A flushing pipe communicates the water cavity and the toilet bowl. A storing chamber is provided below the water cavity.
-
FIG. 1 is an assembled and top view of a toilet according to the present invention. -
FIG. 2 is a right side view ofFIG. 1 , wherein an upper part of a tank of the toilet is removed. -
FIG. 3 is a longitudinally and sectional view of a tank of the toilet. -
FIG. 4 is a left side view of the tank ofFIG. 3 . -
FIG. 5 is similar toFIG. 4 , and conceptually shows an article box of the toilet being drawn. -
FIG. 6 conceptually shows the toilet and a user fetching magazines during defecating. -
FIG. 7 is a schematic view of a toilet in China Utility Patent CN03238113.1. -
FIG. 8 is a schematic view of a toilet in U.S. Pat. No. 5,862,536. - With reference to
FIGS. 1 and 2 , a toilet 1 in accordance with the present invention comprises atoilet bowl 2 and atank 3 detached from each other. Thetoilet bowl 2 is structured as that of ordinary toilet, and is not described herein. - The
tank 3 is formed at side of thetoilet bowl 2. Further referring toFIGS. 3 and 4 , thetank 3 includes awater cavity 30, anoperating element 31 and a flushingpipe 32. Thewater cavity 30 is defined on an upper portion of thetank 3 for preserving water therein. Theoperating element 31 is formed on a top of thetank 3 for the user directly operating manually, and consists of two buttons for controlling different volume of flushing water. The flushingpipe 32 communicates thewater cavity 30 and thetoilet bowl 2, and has anoutlet 321 and aninlet 321 respectively for water flowing out or in. Theoutlet 321 is at a side of thewater cavity 30, and theinlet 322 is at a side of thetoilet bowl 2. Theoutlet 321 is higher than theinlet 322 for achieving desired flushing effect. Astoring chamber 33 is provided below thewater cavity 30. Preferably thestoring chamber 33 is a drawer, and includes anarticle box 331 and arail 332 on bottom of thearticle box 331 for supporting thearticle box 331 to move horizontally. Thearticle box 331 may store books, magazines, shampoo and tooth paste for increasing utility of the toilet. - Referring to
FIGS. 5 and 6 , when a user sits on thetoilet bowl 2 to defecate, he can directly draw out thearticle box 331 from below of thetank 3 to reach magazines and books. Meanwhile, thearticle box 331 is at side of the user, and therefore the user may droop down his hand by nature for fetching magazines and books easily and comfortably. So the present invention is ergonomic to make the user take articles comfortably during defecating. - When the
article box 331 is not employed, it is shaded within thetank 3, thereby resisting dirt. Otherwise the user may get thearticle box 331 out easily for cleaning. - It is understood that the invention may be embodied in other forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as illustrative and not restrictive, and the invention is not to be limited to the details given herein.
