Abstract
The invention relates to a mini collapsible umbrella, which includes an improved frame having bent portion. The frame can close to a shaft of the umbrella effectively when the umbrella is collapsed. The diameter and volume of the closed umbrella will be decreased that facilitates people to carry or pack.
Description
- The present invention relates to a mini collapsible umbrella, which provides a frame having a smaller volume when the umbrella is closed.
- A collapsible umbrella is designed for decreasing its closing volume that facilitates people to carry. In most designs, it intends to increase the number of ribs of the umbrella, such as to provide a frame with five or more ribs that decreases the length of a closed umbrella. But it also leads to a certain result that increases the diameter of the umbrella and it will not be convenient for users to carry or put into their handy bag.
- The present invention is to provide a mini collapsible umbrella, which includes an invented frame being capable of decreasing the volume of a closed umbrella that facilitates people to utilize. Now, accompanying with the following drawings, the character of the present invention will be described here and after.
-
FIG. 1 is a plan view showing a conventional collapsible umbrella. -
FIG. 2 is a top plan view ofFIG. 1 . -
FIG. 3 is a top plan view showing a closed collapsible umbrella according to the present invention. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing a collapsible umbrella according to the present invention. -
FIG. 5 is a front plan view ofFIG. 3 . - Please refer to
FIGS. 1 and 2 ; a conventional collapsible umbrella includes a frame (1), which is straight. When the umbrella is closed, the outer joint (10) of the frame (1) will be resisted by inner end of the first rib (11). Hence, the frame (1) cannot be effective closed to a shaft (2) of the umbrella and the volume of the closed umbrella is still large. - The present invention is to provide a mini collapsible umbrella, as shown in
FIG. 3 to 5, exampled by a three-folded frame. It includes a shaft (2) and a frame (3). The frame (3) has a first rib (31), a second rib (32), and a tail rib (33), wherein the second rib (32) has a bent portion (321). A branch rib (34) is provided with a groove (341) being larger than the width of the first rib (31). - When the umbrella is closed, a joint (331) between the tail rib (33) and the second rib (32) will be interlaced with the first rib (31), as shown in
FIG. 3 . At the same time, the first rib (31) has its lower portion put into the groove (341) of the branch rib (34). Accordingly, the frame (3) can close to the shaft (2), and the diameter and volume of the closed umbrella will be effectively decreased. - In above description, it is only an exemplary to illustrate our embodiment and is not to limit the scope of this application. Any modified embodiments with similar merits; such as applied in an umbrella with four or more ribs, are also claimed according to the present invention.
Claims (1)
1. A mini collapsible umbrella including a shaft and frames, wherein the frame has one of ribs to be bent that becomes a non-linear frame in order that the ribs can be interlaced without resistance and closed to the shaft, and a branch rib has a groove for receiving the lower portion of the first rib when the umbrella is closed.
