Abstract

A device to be applied on packages, more specifically packages for cosmetics, which was developed with the objective of providing better storage and display of the products, since it allows it to be fixed on boards or other metal surfaces that result in a prompt view of products and colours, nearly no need for display space and exclusive and modem visual appeal. Consists in adapting to bottom of packages a small magnet or magnetised film that allows them to be fixed on any metallic surface or, mainly, on metal boards to be hung on walls, partitions, display columns or any other vertical surface of the outlets. Such embodiments of the invention can be incorporated to the packages during manufacture or acquired later to be fixed, at the user's discretion, to the showcases by means of a self-sticking adhesive existent on one of its surfaces.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • The present utility model patent refers to a new device applied on packages, more specifically packages for cosmetics, which was developed with the objective of providing better storage and display of the products, since the applied device can be fixed on boards or other metal surfaces that result in a prompt view of products and colours, with nearly no need for display space and exclusive and modern visual appeal.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • As is of common knowledge, cosmetics—especially makeup products—are among the personal care items currently most consumed by the feminine public. Lipsticks, eye shadows, compact powders and various other products are marketed, individually or together, in packages of various formats and dimensions being available in a wide range of colours and shades, so each consumer may choose the nuances that she likes most and are capable of enhancing even more her natural beauty.
  • As it happens such a variety of colours and combinations demands large physical space to display the products, which in general are conditioned on display supports set up on counters or shelves of outlets, such positioning, in addition to reducing the sellers' workspace, it bestows the establishment a visual aspect some what overloaded and polluted. As well as, with that type of display the consumer is obliged to bend his/her neck and/or body to see the product better, frequently it is necessary to remove the piece from its original position (from the showcase) for a better look.
  • Additionally, there is an inconvenience in storing the products with the current packages, since, nearly always, they are untidily conditioned in drawers and cases, making it difficult for the user to see.
  • Having these problems in mind and aiming to overcome them the present device applied on packages was developed, which consists in adapting to the bottom of the packages a small magnet or magnetised film that allows to be fixed on any metallic surface or, more specifically, on metal boards to be hung on walls, partitions, display columns or any other vertical surface. Such elements can be incorporated to the packages during manufacture or acquired later, at the seller's or user's discretion, to be fixed to the showcases by means of a self-sticking adhesive existent on one of its surfaces.
  • The format of the above mentioned magnetised films can vary according to the showcase geometry (circular, rectangular or any other format) and also depending on their dimensions. However, it is important to point out that as the cosmetics' labels generally are located at the bottom of the packages, when the films are placed on such surfaces there can still be a central hole in order to allow the reading of the information and perfect identification of the product.
  • Thus, the innovation allows storing and displaying of the products in a differentiated and practical way that, whilst it frees room on flat surfaces of the shop's furniture—mainly on the work counters—it also provides a greater use of its vertical surfaces that, until then, were under used only serving to hang publicity/promotional materials or other decorative elements. Additionally, the consumers are benefited as they may remain erect—and, therefore, more comfortable—when analysing the product, which facilitates its scrutiny and quickens its choice. It is important to emphasize that the use of the new device is not limited to commercial use, since it allows the consumers themselves to store and organize their cosmetics on any metallic surface that permits easy identification and use.
  • Therefore, the device applied on packages herein described solves the inconveniences mentioned above and introduces significant functional innovations to the current state of the art.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a device applied on packages.
  • On one exemplary embodiment, the invention is directed to a device applied on packages including a magnet or a magnetized film. The magnet or magnetized film has a circular, rectangular or any other formatted perimeter. The magnet or magnetized film is applied on the bottom surface of a cosmetic package.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • For a better understanding, the object will now be described with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 shows, in perspective from behind, a generic package with a cylindrical magnet;
  • FIGS. 2.1 and 2.2 show, in perspective from behind, a package with a circular perimeter and another with a square perimeter with magnetised film;
  • FIGS. 3.1 and 3.2 show, individually, the magnetised films with circular and square format, and
  • FIG. 4 shows a typical film, from a side view, which allows seeing the layer of self-sticking adhesive.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION
  • In conformity with what the above mentioned figures illustrate, the present inventive device applied on packages includes a magnet (1) or magnetised film of circular (2), rectangular (3) or any other formatted perimeter applied on the bottom surface (4) of a package particularly a cosmetic package (5).
  • In one exemplary embodiment of magnetised films (2 and 3), the dimensions can vary according to the packages on which they will be applied and will have a circular (6) or square (7) format central void to allow the perfect view of label (8) located on bottom surface (4) of the package. Such films (2 and 3) can be fixed to the packages during the manufacture process or sold separately, in this case, with a surface having self-sticking adhesive (9) to allow the user himself to stick it to the desired package.
  • Therefore, a device applied on packages comprising a magnet or magnetised film having a circular, rectangular or any other formatted perimeter can be applied on the bottom surface of a cosmetic package. The magnetised film can have a circular or square format central void with a surface having self-sticking adhesive to attach the magnetised film to the cosmetic package.
  • Thus, a device to be applied on packages, more specifically packages for cosmetics, can be provided with the objective of providing better storage and display of the products, since it allows it to be fixed on boards or other metal surfaces that result in a prompt view of products and colours, nearly no need for display space and exclusive and modern visual appeal. The present invention is directed to adapting to bottom of packages a small magnet or magnetised film that allows them to be fixed on any metallic surface or, mainly, on metal boards to be hung on walls, partitions, display columns or any other vertical surface of the outlets. Such embodiments of the invention can be incorporated to the packages during manufacture or acquired later to be fixed, at the user's discretion, to the showcases by means of a self-sticking adhesive existent on one of its surfaces.
  • While the invention has been so described in detail with reference to specific embodiments thereof, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications may be made therein without departing from the spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined by the following claims.

Claims (2)
