  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Detailed descriptions of the preferred embodiment are provided herein. It is to be understood, however, that the present invention may be embodied in various forms. Therefore, specific details disclosed herein are not to be interpreted as limiting, but rather as a basis for the claims and as a representative basis for teaching one skilled in the art to employ the present invention in virtually any appropriately detailed system, structure or manner.
  • Turning first to Fig A there is shown the front side of the Button Plate 1 with central hub 2 used to hold CD to surface/Button Plate 1. An article of manufacture for Apparel/CD display. comprised of Plastic or lightweight material of stiff substance, used to create a flat surface, a Button Plate 1 and 10 with central hub 2 and 9 design that is used to hold a CD to the surface/ Button Plate 1 and 10.
  • To accomplish an important function of the invention, there is shown in Fig A, the operation of attachment to a pocket by sliding over the edge, this may be understood upon reference to Fig. A which illustrates the three part resistance system. The three part resistance system is accomplished by further creation of two 1″¾ inch slots on the elliptical Button Plate. There by creating a left wing 3L, right wing 3R and a center section 4. In the illustrated embodiment the left wing 3L and the right wing 3R are placed behind the pocket edge, the center section 4 is placed in front of pocket, causing resistance against movement or dislocation of Button Plate 1. In like manner the elliptical Button Plate 1 may be attached to any vertical surface edge.
  • In accordance with the present invention, Figure B shows the back 5 of the elliptical Button Plate 1. In this present form of the invention, the Button Plate 1 is further enhanced with the attachment of a Pin Back 6. This further enhancement of the elliptical Button Plate 1 is for the purpose of allowing attachment to other soft pliable surfaces. Further in accordance with the invention, the Button Plate 1 may also be worn by a person using a Lanyard or other necklace device to be placed around a person's neck for immediate access. This is accomplished in the present instance by attaching a Lanyard or other necklace device to the Pin Back 6. In carrying out the present invention, I provide also for the attachment of the Button Plate 1 to any metallic surface. This is accomplished in the present instance by attaching a Magnetic strip 11 applied to back side of Button Plate 1 allowing attachment to any metallic surface for immediate access. Furthermore the magnetic strip can further be used to restrain the Button Plate 1 against fabric by providing a magnetic mate 12. Placing the Magnetic Mate 12 on the inside of fabric, opposite Magnetic strip 11. As a consequence of the relationship of the Magnetic strip 11 to the Magnetic mate 12 a Friction Attraction bond is formed thus affording considerable resistance to vertical descent allowing the Button Plate 1 to stay fastened an optimal position.
  • In carrying out the present invention, provided in Figs C (front) and D (back) alternate sizing of the Button Plate 10. This illustrates that the invention is not necessarily limited in the shape of the Button Plate 10. Thus it is seen that Fig C, D are circular in shape. The illustrative device is adapted to be supportive of adhesive/removable adhesive on back side Fig D of Button Plate 10. In this way the Button Plate 10 may be attached or fastened to any hard vertical surface for immediate access. In like manner the illustrative device is supportive of enhancement with the attachment of a Pin Back 6 on back side Fig D of Button Plate 10. Similarly it follows that the invention, the Button Plate 10 may also be worn by a person using a Lanyard or other necklace device to be placed around a person's neck for immediate access. This is accomplished in the present instance by attaching a Lanyard or other necklace device to the Pin Back 6. In carrying out the present invention, I provide also for the attachment of the Button Plate 10 to any metallic surface. This is accomplished in the present instance by attaching a Magnetic strip 11 applied to back side of Button Plate 10 allowing attachment to any metallic surface for immediate access. Furthermore the magnetic strip can further be used to restrain the Button Plate 10 against fabric by providing a magnetic mate 12. Placing the Magnetic Mate 12 on the inside of fabric, opposite Magnetic strip 11. As a consequence of the relationship of the Magnetic strip 11 to the Magnetic mate 12 a Friction Attraction bond is formed thus affording considerable resistance to vertical descent allowing the Button Plate 10 to stay in an optimal position.
  • In accordance with an important feature of the present invention, there is shown in Figure E a Hallow Channel 8 that runs along the lower half of the circumference of the Button Plate 10. This illustrative device is adapted to allow for the Button Plate 10 to hold a CD to the surface of it's Plate 10. Further using a Central Hub 9 to anchor CD to Button Plate 10 causing resistance against movement or dislocation from said Button Plate 10. The illustrative device is adapted to be supportive of adhesive/removable adhesive on back side Fig F of Button Plate 10. In this way the Button Plate 10 may be attached to any hard vertical surface for immediate access. In like manner the illustrative device is supportive of enhancement with the attachment of a Pin Back 6 on back side Fig F of Button Plate 10.
  • Turning to Figs B, D and F, there is shown in Figure G an important feature of the present invention that can be used in Figs B, D and F. This illustrative device is adapted to allow for the Button Plate 1 and 10 to hold itself to apparel by using a Button/Pocket Slide 14. In this way the Button Plate 1 and 10 may be attached by slipping a button on a article of clothing into the open slot 13. Allowing for the Button Plate 1 and 10 to be worn by an individual. Furthermore the Button/Pocket Slide 14 is adapted to allow for the attachment of Button Plate 1 and 10 to hold itself to apparel by using the Pocket Slide 14 in a manner that slides itself over the edge of the pocket. Similarly the Button Plate 1 and 10 may be attached to any vertical surface edge.
  • In keeping with the principle objects of the invention the Billy Q. Button allows for easy storage and personal portability of CD's. A wearer of this invention can advertise and disperse their advertisements to the pubic or interested parties in the moment. It is the intent of this invention to allow the end users of said invention to allow for easy access of CD's wherever they might have the need to store them on any surface.
