Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Technical Field of the Invention
  • The present invention is related to a basket, and more particularly to a collapsible basket to facilitate storage and assembly.
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • Baskets either found available at home or in shopping malls are usually made of plastic or fabric material. However, those baskets occupy too much space since the plastic basket is not foldable. On the other hand, certain baskets, although made of fabric, which is foldable, prevents easy folding in and reassembly.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a collapsible basket with added value that is collapsed for easy storage and allows easy reassembly into a basket for use. To achieve the purpose, the present invention is essentially comprised of a fabric body, a base rack and a snap-in frame. Magic tape is attached to the inner circumference of the opening of fabric body to cover up the snap-in frame. Hooks each adapted with mobile locking levers are respectively provided on both sides of the base rack to hold the base rack at the bottom of the inner edge of the fabric body. The locking levers are collapsed and stacked for easy storage when the basket is not used; and are respectively fitted in the snap-in frame to stretch up the fabric body with a base board placed flat on the bottom of the base rack when the basket is in use.
  • The base rack is provided with multiple locking levers with both ends of each lever to be folded upward along the side of the frame to define the hook for the levers to snap in.
  • The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
  • Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing that the preferred embodiment of the present invention is collapsed for storage.
  • FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing that the preferred embodiment of the present invention is reassembled.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is reassembled for use.
  • FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a preferred embodiment of the present invention is essentially comprised of a fabric body 1, a base rack 2, and a snap-in frame 3. The opening of the fabric body 1 has attached to its inner edge a male magic tape 11 and a female magic tape 12. The base rack 2 contains a frame 21 provided with multiple levers 22. Both ends of each lever 22 are curved upward along both shorter sides of the frame 21 to form multiple hooks 23.
  • The snap-in frame 3 includes a frame 31 and multiple sleeves 32 provided on both shorter sides of the frame 31 for two locking levers 33 to penetrate through thus to rotate in the sleeves.
  • The base rack 2 is placed flat on the bottom of the inner edge of the fabric body 1 and the snap-in frame 3 is received and concealed in the edge of the opening of the fabric body by means of both male and female magic tapes 11, 12 separating from each other for a certain spacing to define a basket 100. When the basket 100 is not used, both locking levers are turned and overlapped on each other for the fabric body 1 to be flatted for facilitating storage. When the basket 100 is used, just stretch up the fabric body 1 and respective press down both locking levers to snap in hookers 23 on the base rack 2 to hold the basket body 1 in shape to accommodate commodities.
  • As illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, when the present invention is not used, both locking levers 33 of the snap-in frame is overlapped and flattened. The fabric body 1 by virtue of its material allows it to be collapsed for facilitating carrying and storage without consuming too much space. Multiple baskets 100 can be stacked up to facilitate handling or getting ready for the consumers to take. When the use is desired, the fabric body 1 is pulled up and both locking levers are pressed down and turned to both sides of the fabric body 1 to engage the hooks 23 provided on both sides of the base rack 2 to stretch up and hold in shape the fabric body 1.
  • Now referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, once both locking levers 33 are engaged with hooks 23 of the base rack 2 and the fabric body 1 is stretched up and held in shape, a base board 4 is placed on the bottom of the fabric body 1 for better placement of various types of commodities therein. The fabric body 1 is further stretched and secured in shape without the risk of sudden collapse since the hooks 23 of the base rack 2 firmly secure both locking levers 33.
  • It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
  • While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
