Abstract
A golf club bag has a bag member, a transmission device and two wheels. The transmission device is provided on the bag member, which has a control bar and two frames. The control bar is moved for a linear reciprocating motion. The frames are pivoted on the bag member and are moved by the control bar between a collapsed position and an extended position. The wheels are provided on the frames of the transmission device respectively for rotation.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates generally to a golf tool, and more particularly to a golf club bag.
- 2. Description of the Related Art

FIG. 1 shows a conventionalgolf club bag 1 have abag member 2 to receive golf clubs and a belt 3 fastened on thebag member 2. Golf player carries thegolf club bag 1 on his/her shoulder and walk that makes the player much tired.FIG. 2 shows agolf club cart 4, which has aframe 5 to fix a golf club bag (shown as the dot line) thereon by twobelts wheel mounts 5 c pivoted on theframe 5 and twowheels 6 pivoted on thewheel mounts 5 c respectively. The player just draws thegolf club cart 4 to walk. It is inconvenient that the player has to fix and remove the golf club bag on and from theframe 5 before and after the game, and thegolf club cart 4 is not easy to be stored. That is why there is fewer players use thegolf club cart 4. -
FIG. 3 shows another conventionalgolf club bag 7, which has abag member 8, ahandle 8 a on thebag member 8 and twowheels 9 on a bottom of thebag member 8. With the limitation of the width of thebag member 8, a distance between the wheels is too short to stand thebag member 8 on the ground stably, especially in a condition of thebag member 8 being exerted by an external force or wind. - The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a golf club bag, which facilitates player to carry it.
- The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a golf club bag, which the bag member is fixed with the cart.
- According to the objectives of the present invention, a golf club bag has a bag member, a transmission device and two wheels. The transmission device is provided on the bag member, which has a control bar and two frames. The control bar is moved for a linear reciprocating motion. The frames are pivoted on the bag member and are moved by the control bar between a collapsed position and an extended position. The wheels are provided on the frames of the transmission device respectively for rotation.

FIG. 15 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the golf club bag standing on the ground. - As shown in
FIG. 4 toFIG. 7 , agolf club bag 100 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises: - A
bag member 10 has abag 11, ahandle 12, aseparating device 13, alid 14, abase 15, aloop 16 and aback plate 17. Thebag 11 has twocoupling devices 111 on periphery of a top thereof and twoconcave portion 112 at a bottom thereof (referring toFIG. 11 ). Thehandle 12 is fixed at a front side of thebag 11. The separatingdevice 13 is provided in thebag 11 to divide a space of thebag 11. Thelid 14 having twocoupling devices 141 and aslot 142 is covered on the top of thebag 11 with thecoupling devices 141 thereof coupled with thecoupling devices 111 of thebag 11 respectively. Thebase 15 is fixed at a rear side of thebag 11, as shown inFIG. 8 andFIG. 9 , having amain member 151 with anaxial hole 152, twoslots 153, twochambers 154 and a plurality of throughholes 155˜159. Theaxial hole 152 is open at opposite sides of themain member 151, on a sidewall of which theslots 153 are provided, and the throughholes 155˜159 are communicated with thechambers 154 respectively. Theloop 16 is fixed at the rear side of thebag 11 as well. Theback plate 17 is coupled with thebag 11 at the rear side thereof to shield thebase 15. Referring toFIG. 11 , theback plate 17 has aprotrusion 171 to be a coupling member, which is associated with theslot 142 of the lid 14 (referring toFIG. 15 ). - A
transmission device 20 has twogear sets 21, acontrol bar 22, tworacks 23, twoframe 24 and twoauxiliary bar 25. Thegear sets 21 are installed in thechambers 154 of thebase 15, each set of which is consisted of threedouble spur gears 211˜213, as shown inFIG. 7 , and pins (not shown) inserted into the throughholes 155 to 157 of thebase 15 and thegears 211˜213 to pivot thegears 211˜213 on thebase 15. Each of thegears 211˜213 have a greater gear portion and a smaller gear portion. The smaller gear portion of thegear 211 is meshed with the greater gear portion of thegear 212, and the smaller gear portion of thegear 212 is meshed with the greater gear portion of thegear 213. - The
control bar 22 has aninner tube 221, ahandle 222, abutton 223 and anouter tube 224. Theinner tube 221 is inserted into theloop 16, and thehandle 22 is on a top end of theinner tube 221, and thebutton 223 is on thehandle 222 to be operated by user. Theouter tube 224 is inserted into theaxial hole 152 of thebase 15, on a top end of which aring 225 is provided, as shown inFIG. 6 . The major portion of theinner tube 221 is received in theouter tube 224, and thehandle 222 is close to theloop 16. - The
racks 23 are transversely fixed on theouter tube 224 associated with theslots 153 respectively. Theracks 23 are meshed with the greater gear portion of thegear 211. - Each of the
frame 24 have apole 241, anouter gear 242 on an end of thepole 241 and aconnector 243. Thepoles 241 have anaperture 244 at the ends with theouter gears 242 respectively. A pin (not shown) is inserted into theapertures 244 of thepoles 241 and the throughhole 158 of thebase 15 to be fixed to theconnector 243. Theouter gears 242 are meshed with the smaller gear portions of thegears 213, and theconnector 243 is pivoted on ends of thepoles 241 opposite to theouter gear 242. - The
auxiliary bars 25 have ahole 251 at ends thereof respectively. A pin (not shown) is insert into theholes 251 of theauxiliary bars 25 and the throughhole 159 of the base 15 to be fixed to theconnector 243. The auxiliary bars 25 are pivoted on theconnector 243 with ends thereof opposite to the ends with thehole 251. - As shown in
FIG. 6 , thegolf club bag 100 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention has thecontrol bar 22 not being drawn out and thewheels 30 resting on thebag 11. - As shown in
FIG. 10 , thebutton 223 is pressed to draw theinner tube 221 out. Thewheels 30 keep resting on thebag 11. - As shown in
FIG. 11 toFIG. 13 , theinner tube 221 is kept drawn out continuously until thering 225 is stopped by theloop 16. In the motion ofinner tube 221, theracks 23 move thepoles 241 and thewheels 30 via the gear sets 21 respectively from a collapsed position P1 (referring toFIG. 6 ) to an extended position P2 (referring toFIG. 11 ). The restriction between thewheels 30, theauxiliary bars 25 and theconnector 243 makes thewheels 30 keeping upright to the ground, as shown inFIG. 14 . - On contrary, the
handle 22 is exerted to push theinner tube 221 back into theouter tube 224, as shown inFIG. 6 , thewheels 30 are moved back to the concave portions of thebag 11 again. - In conclusion, the
golf club bag 100 of the present invention combines the bag with the cart that convenient user to use it. Thebag 11 and thewheels 30 touch the ground when thegolf club bag 100 of the present invention stands on the ground that provides a stable condition. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
Claims (9)
1. A golf club bag, comprising:
a bag member;
a transmission device provided on the bag member, which has a control bar and two frames, wherein the control bar is moved for a linear reciprocating motion, and the frames are pivoted on the bag member and moved by the control bar between a collapsed position and an extended position, and
two wheels provided on the frames of the transmission device respectively.
2. The golf club bag as defined in claim 1 , wherein the transmission device has two racks on the control bar, and the frames have an outer gear respectively to be driven by the racks respectively.
3. The golf club bag as defined in claim 2 , wherein the bag member has a base, on which an axial hole is provided, and the control bar is inserted into the axial hole of the base, and the frames have an end pivoted on the base respectively.
4. The golf club bag as defined in claim 3 , wherein the transmission device has two gear sets, each of which are provided on the base and has a gear meshed with the racks and the outer frames respectively.
5. The golf club bag as defined in claim 4 , wherein the frames are pivoted on two connectors respectively, and the transmission device has two auxiliary bars, each of which have opposite ends pivoted on the base and the connectors respectively.
6. The golf club bag as defined in claim 5 , wherein the control bar has an inner tube, a handle on the inner tube and an outer tube fitted to the inner tube, on which the racks are fixed.
7. The golf club bag as defined in claim 1 , wherein the bag member has two concave portions at a bottom thereof to receive the wheels therein respectively.
8. The golf club bag as defined in claim 1 , wherein the bag member has a bag and a lid to be detachably coupled with the bag.
9. The golf club bag as defined in claim 1 , wherein the control bar has an outer tube and an inner tube fitted to the outer tube to be moved relative to the outer tube.
