Abstract

A cosmetic container includes a cap, a body, and a label. Either the cap or the body is provided at a predetermined position with a recess for the label to fitly attach thereto.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a cosmetic container, and more particularly to a cosmetic container having a label that is received in and attached to a recess provided on the container and can therefore last for a long time.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 are exploded and assembled perspective views, respectively, of a conventional cosmetic container 1 frequently found in the market. The cosmetic container 1 mainly includes a cap 11 and a body 12. A label 121 in the form of a sticker or a thin sheet bearing the brand of the cosmetic contained in the cosmetic container 1 is generally directly attached to an outer surface of the body 12. Such a label 121 tends to spoil an overall appearance of the cosmetic container 1 and is easily separable from the body 12 after a period of time. That is, the label 121 does not last long on the cosmetic container 1.
  • It is therefore tried by the inventor to develop an improved cosmetic container to eliminate drawbacks existed in the conventional one.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • A primary object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic container that enables a label to attach thereto over a prolonged time.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic container that shows an enhanced overall appearance.
  • To achieve the above and other objects, the cosmetic container of the present invention includes a cap, a body, and a label. Either the cap or the body is provided with a recess, in which the label is received without protruding from the recess to give the whole cosmetic container a smooth, complete, and beautiful appearance.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a conventional cosmetic container;
  • FIG. 2 is an assembled view of FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of a cosmetic container according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is an assembled view of FIG. 3;
  • FIG. 5 is a sectional view showing a first manner of attaching a label to the cosmetic container of FIG. 3;
  • FIG. 6 is a sectional view showing a second manner of attaching a label to the cosmetic container of FIG. 3; and
  • FIG. 7 is an exploded perspective view of a cosmetic container according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Please refer to FIGS. 3 and 4 that are exploded and assembled perspective views, respectively, of a cosmetic container 2 according to a first preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the cosmetic container 2 includes a cap 21, a body 22, and a label 222 received in and attached to a recess 221 provided on the body 22.
  • FIG. 5 is a sectional view of the cosmetic container 2 of FIG. 3 showing a first manner of attaching the label 222 to the recess 221 on the body 22. As shown, the label 222 has a size identical to that of the recess 221 and can therefore be fitly laid on a top of the recess 221.
  • FIG. 6 is another sectional view of the cosmetic container 2 of FIG. 3 showing a second manner of attaching the label 222 to the recess 221 on the body 22. As shown, the label 222 is firmly received in the recess 222 via a layer of adhesive or glue 223 applied on the top of the recess 221.
  • Please refer to FIG. 7 that is an exploded perspective view of a cosmetic container 2 according to a second preferred embodiment of the present invention. As shown, the cosmetic container 2 in the second embodiment also includes a cap 21, a body 22, and a label 222 received in and attached to a recess 211 provided on the cap 21.
  • As in the first preferred embodiment, the label 222 in the second preferred embodiment may be received in the recess 211 in any one of two manners, namely, being fitly laid on a top of the recess 211 directly or via a layer of adhesive or glue applied on the recess 211.
  • In either manner, the label 222 may always be attached to the cosmetic container 2 over a prolonged time. Moreover, it is noted the label 222 in the recess 221 or 211 is flush with an outer surface of the body 22 or the cap 21 of the cosmetic container 2 without protruding from the recess 221 or 211. And, there is not any gap or clearance left between the label 222 and the cosmetic container 2 after the label 222 is fitly laid on or firmly adhered to the recess 221 or 211, giving the whole cosmetic container 2 a smooth and complete outer surface. However, it is understood the above two manners for attaching the label 222 to the recess 221 or 211 on the body 22 or the cap 21 of the cosmetic container 2 are mentioned by way of example, and not intended to limit the present invention.
  • Since the label 222 included in the present invention is usually a colored and thin sticker or sheet bearing a brand or other instruction information about the cosmetic contained in the cosmetic container 2, it is possible for external light to project through and be refracted from the label 222 and the body 22 or the cap 21 to create a fantastic beauty for the whole cosmetic container 2.
  • In the present invention, the label 222 is attached to the body 22 or the cap 21 of the cosmetic container 2 in the manners best for attracting consumers to effectively increase the demands for the cosmetic.
  • The following are some of the advantages making the present invention superior to the cosmetic container of the prior art:
      • 1. The label 222 received in the recess 221, 211 will last for a prolonged time.
      • 2. The label 222 received in the recess 221, 222 gives the whole cosmetic container 2 an enhanced beauty.
  • The present invention has been described with some preferred embodiments thereof and it is understood that many changes and modifications in the described embodiments can be carried out without departing from the scope and the spirit of the invention that is intended to be limited only by the appended claims.
