Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • (a) Field of the Invention
  • The invention relates to a multi-layer changeable-expression mask structure, and more particularly, to a mask having simple operations to easily change facial expressions for reducing production costs.
  • (b) Description of the Prior Art
  • Masks are derived from singing and dancing ceremonies at sacral rituals of primitive societies. Each mask has a story behind, and may represent cultures of a specific ethnic group. Modern people use characteristics of masks for camouflage shows and performances. Masks are extensively worn by western adults in parties and during holidays—all kinds of masks are worn to mingle into jolly crowds, and real identities are hidden to free one from etiquette constraints. Speaking of masks, they can be easily created. To make a conventional mask, a piece of paper is cut to form a several holes, and a few decorative objects are attached thereon. Or, a piece of cardboard paper is folded into a facial form, and is shaped using paper clay. Another alternative is to first form a framework using a piece of cardboard paper, followed by adhering cotton paper one layer on top of another.
  • However, a prior mask can only be made into having one facial expression. Supposed different facial expressions are to be changed, different masks must be made or purchased. Thus, production costs are unnecessarily increased.
  • In addition, to change prior masks with distinct facial expression, a mask originally worn on one's face is first essentially removed and replaced by a new mask, meaning that during the process of changing, one's face is inevitably seen by others. Hence, a user of the masks is caused with complexities for that the masks fail to provide the user with constant identity cover-up. Therefore, it is a vital task of the invention as how to provide a multi-layer changeable-expression mask overcoming the aforesaid drawbacks.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary object of the invention is to provide a mask having simple operations for easily changing expressions, thereby reducing production costs.
  • To accomplish the aforesaid object, a multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention comprises a plurality of paper plates. The invention is characterized that, the plurality of paper plates is overlapped with one another; the lowermost paper plate has a periphery thereof extended outward to form a connecting section with at least 5 mm in measurement; each of the plurality of paper plates has a sewing line at a center axis thereof; the uppermost paper plates is adhered an expression page at an upper surface thereof, and each of the paper plates is also adhered with an express page at a surface thereof; and each of the paper plates is disposed with a fastening member at right and left sides thereof.
  • Using the aforesaid structure, the multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention is joined with a wig, a hair frame, a hat or a toy using the connecting section at the lowermost paper plate by means of sewing, and then attached with an elastic band to put the invention around one's face to fold the paper plates in the various layers to the left or right as desire, thereby changing between different facial expressions. In addition, the process of changing expressions is performed so quickly that others are unlikely to notice to give others surprising effects and originality. Hence, the invention is suitable for masquerades and stage performances.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 shows an exploded elevational view according to the invention.
  • FIG. 2 shows an elevational view according to the invention in assembly.
  • FIG. 3 shows a schematic view according to the invention in use.
  • FIG. 4 shows a schematic view of another embodiment according to the invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • To better understand the structures, devices and characteristics of the invention, a preferred embodiment is given with the accompanying drawings below.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a multi-layer changeable-expression mask comprises a plurality of paper plates 1 having shapes approaching dimensions of human faces, wherein each of the paper plates 1 is provided with holes at positions corresponding to human eyes.
  • The invention is characterized that, the plurality of paper plates 1 is overlapped with one another; the lowermost paper plate 10 has a periphery thereof extended outward to form a connecting section 101 with at least 5 mm in measurement; each of the plurality of paper plates 1 has a sewing line 2 at a center axis thereof; the uppermost paper plates 1 is adhered an expression page 3 at an upper surface thereof, and each of the paper plates 3 is also adhered with an express page 3 at a surface thereof, wherein surfaces of the expression pages 3 are drawn with a diversity of patterns and makeup; and each of the paper plates 1 is disposed with a fastening member 4 at right and left sides thereof.
  • According to the aforesaid structure of the multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention, center lines of the plurality of paper plates 1 are joined using the sewing lines 2 at the central axes, such that the left and right sides of the paper plates are selectively folded to the right or left sides, with the sewing lines 2 covered by the expression pages of the uppermost paper plate 1 and paper plates 1 at inner layers. Furthermore, the fastening members 4 can be in form of magnets, fastening belts, Velcro materials and hidden buttons.
  • Referring to FIG. 3, the multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention is joined with a wig 5, a hair frame or a hat to the connecting section 101 by means of sewing, or left and sides thereof are respectively attached with an elastic band to put the invention around one's face. Using the connecting section 101, the invention may also be installed to a toy to enhance entertaining effects of the toy. To change expressions, one of the paper plates 1 at the left or right side is folded toward the other direction to reveal the different expression page 3 inside that particular paper plate 1. When the invention is composed of two paper plates 1, three expression pages 3 can be included to provide three facial expressions; using three paper plates 1, five expression pages 3 can be included to provide five facial expression; and so on. During manufacturing process, a number of paper plates can be adjusted according to a number of facial expressions desired. After changing expression, the folded paper plate 1 is fastened using the fastening members 4, thereby readily changing expression without having to change the entire mask. In addition, the process of changing expressions is performed so quickly that others are unlikely to notice to give others surprising effects. Hence, the invention is suitable for masquerades and stage performances. Also, the invention has simple manufacturing processes from common materials and hence reduced production costs.
  • Referring to FIG. 4, the multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention has paper plates 1 and expression pages 3 thereof designed as eye masks. Surfaces of the expression pages 3 are drawn with all kinds of patterns of eye masks to further obtain a multi-layer changeable-pattern eye mask.
  • Conclusive from the above, the multi-layer changeable-expression mask according to the invention easily accomplishes effects of readily changing between different facial expressions and reduced production costs. It is of course to be understood that the embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.
