Abstract

A parasol with a light device includes a light device, a power source and a power switch respectively connected with wires. One ends of the wires are respectively connected with a male and a female connector, and the male and the female connector are possible to fit with or separate from each other. When the male and the female connector are fitted with each other, the two sets of the wires get connected with each other. If the light device is to be replaced with new one owing to disorders, first the male connector and the female connector are separated from each other, then the light device is separated from the power switch for replacing. And the power source is a chargeable battery, enabling the parasol with the light device used anywhere.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a parasol with a light device, particularly to one provided with a light device formed in a model so as to facilitate its assembly and replacement, with a chargeable battery as its power source so that a parasol with a light device may be used anywhere, not limited by public utilities.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • A conventional parasol with a light device generally have its light device installed at a middle ring or on a rib, with each lamp connected with a power switch by wires so as to control all the lamps with one power switch only. Further, the power source is mainly gotten from AC power from public utilities, causing the following disadvantages of the conventional parasols with a light device.
  • 1. In order not to impair the beautiful appearance of a parasol, all wires used for connecting lamps with a power switch are laid in the interior of ribs, causing extremely inconvenience for repair and replacement of any components of the light device or the whole light device itself. Above all, soldering work of wires for connection or disconnection with or from an IC board requires intricate operation, very inconvenient for users and makers as well.
      • 2. It has to be used near a house, quite limited in the usable location, as its light device generally adopts AC of public utilities for its power.
    SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention has been devised to offer a parasol with a light device favorable for repair, maintenance and replacement, using a chargeable battery for its power source of the light device so that it may be usable anywhere, unlimited its location.
  • The feature of the invention is that the wires between a light device and a power switch are separated into two sets and one ends of the wires are connected respectively with a male and a female connector, and the male the female connector are possible to be fitted with or separated from each other. In case of the male and the female connector are fitted with each other, the two sets of the wires get connected to let electricity of the power source pass through by turning on the power switch. So in repairing, maintaining and replacing the light device can be easily preceded by separating the male and the female connector. Further, a chargeable battery is used for the power source, so the parasol in the invention can be located anywhere, unlimited by public utilities.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a parasol with a light device in the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the light device provided in the parasol in the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the light device in the parasol in the present invention;
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a power source for the parasol in the present invention; and,
  • FIG. 5 is an exploded perspective view of the power source for the parasol in the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • A preferred embodiment of a parasol with a light device in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 1, includes a shank 10, an upper ring 11, a lower ring 12, a plurality of ribs 13, and a plurality of spreaders 14, a canopy 15, and a light devices 2, a power source 24, and a power switch 25 as main components.
  • The upper ring 11 is fixed at the top of the shank 1 for the upper ends of all the ribs 13 to be pivotally connected with.
  • The lower ring 12 is movably fitted with the shank 10 to slide up and down, and for the upper ends of all the spreaders 14 to connect pivotally with, so the parasol may be expanded from the collapsed condition to the expanded condition or vice versa.
  • The ribs 13 have their upper end pivotally connected to the upper ring 11, and their lower ends attached with an outer circumference of the canopy 15, and having their intermediate portions pivotally connected with the upper ends of all the spreaders 14 so that the ribs 13 may be expanded by the spreaders 14 in case of the lower ring 12 being slid up from the collapsed condition to the expanded condition of the parasol.
  • The spreaders 14 have their inner lower ends pivotally connected to the lower ring 12 and their upper ends pivotally connected to the ribs 13 as described above so as to spread or collapse the ribs 13.
  • The canopy 15 is laid over the ribs 13, having its outer circumference attached with the outer ends of all the ribs 13, expansible and collapsible together with the ribs 13.
  • The light device 2, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, consists of a number of IC boards 22 respectively fixed with the bottom surface of all the ribs 13, plural wires 20 for connecting, a number of female connectors 21 with the power switch, plural sets of lamps 220 (possibly LED) fixed on each IC board 22, a number of male connector 222 connected respectively with the sets of the lamps 220, a number of lamp shades 23.
  • The wires 20 connected with the power source 24 are laid in each rib 13 and out through a wire hole 131 bored in the bottom of each rib 13, and then connected with the female connector 21. The elongate IC board 22 with a set of the lamps 220 is fixed on the bottom surface 130 of each rib 13, and the wires 221 of the lamps 220 are connected to the male connector 222, which can then fit with or separate from the female connector 21, letting the wires 20 and 221 get connected with each other to let electric power run through in case of the two connectors 21 and 222 are fitted with each other. Then the lamp cover 23 is tightly fixed over the IC board 22 with the lamps 220 together with the IC board 22 with screws 230 screwing with the bottom 130 of the rib 13. Further the lamp cover 23 has a number of lamp holes 231 corresponding to the lamps 220 for the lamps 220 to expose out so as to shine downward and around.
  • The power source 24, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, has a case 240, a chargeable battery received in the case 240, and two ears 241 provided on the case 240 for screws to pass through to fix the case 240 with a sidewall of the rib 13. Further, the power switch 25 is electrically connected between the battery and the lamps 220 for turning on and off the lamps 220. The power source 24 and the power switch 25 are installed on an outer end portion of each rib 13 and connected with all the wires of all the IC boards 22.
  • After the male connector 222 and the female connector 21 are fitted with each other, the two connectors 222 and 21 together are pushed through the wire hole 131 in the rib 13. Then the light device 2 can be used during nighttime, turning on the power switch 25 to light up all the lamps 220 on all the IC boards 22, shining persons sitting or standing in the parasol for them to proceed their activities, As the light device uses a chargeable battery, not the power from public utilities, the parasol 1 can be set anywhere, unlimited in its location.
  • AS for repair, maintenance or replacement of the lamps 220 of the light device 2, the lamp cover 23, the IC board 22 can be separated from the rib 13, by screwing loose the screws 230, and then the male and the female connector 222 and 21 together are taken out of the wire hole 131, and the male and the female connector 222 and 21 are separated from each other. Thus, any component or the whole set of the light device 2 can be replaced with new one, and then the new light device can be fixed by repeating the above-mentioned process. So it is very clear that the light device 2 in present invention can save time and work in repairing, maintaining and replacing.
  • While the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
