Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention was designed for children from four through nine years of age and adults that need to relearn the skill of tying the laces of their shoes. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy services from Barry University and I am the president and sole owner of a Florida corporation which works with individuals with developmental disabilities. I have published an illustrated book and invented a pair of colorful woven oval shoe laces which used together can teach children with unique learning styles and adults who have suffered a neurological event to securely tie their shoelaces.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • I have written and illustrated a book entitled SHOE TYING MADE SIMPLE and I've registered the copyright on my book, Certificate of Registration ISBN O-9709980-1-5 dated 2001. I have also designed a pair of two-colored woven oval shoe laces which are packaged within the book.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a top view taken from above of my two-colored woven oval shoe lace.
  • FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 3 is a top view taken from above showing FIGS. 91, 92, 93 and 94.
  • FIG. 4 is a broken apart side view of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view of my shoe lace showing FIG. 95.
  • FIG. 90 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 91 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the yellow portion of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 92 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the royal blue portion of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 93 is also an enlarged cross sectional view of the blue portion of my shoe lace.
  • FIG. 94 is a further enlarged cross-sectional view of the blue portion of my shoe lace.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • The preferred embodiment is a pair of my unique oval woven shoe laces. Each lace is made of polyester fibers and is about 51 inches long and each lace end is tipped and cut. One end of each lace is colored a solid canary yellow and the other end is a solid royal blue. The circumference of each lace is 0.5 inches.
