  • This invention is intended to be a multi-user game, used as a toy for entertainment purposes only. There is no prior art or technology to reference. The only documents available for reference are: The Patent Application and attached Drawing Specifications.
    • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • This game is designed to be played outdoors by a pair of individuals or a team of partners. The game utilizes two individually constructed 3-rung ketchers, spaced approximately 20 feet apart. The user tosses a ball assembly across the court with the intention of the assembly landing on one of the rungs without falling off; thus scoring points.

  • There is a total of 3 drawings and 2 color photos. Each figure is listed below:
  • FIG. T-1: Ball Assembly (The Thing)—This drawing depicts a detailed description of the assembly with individual views of the items that make up the assembly, as well as a description key. The description key includes quantity of item, number of items and description to complete 1 assembly.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Components of the Game:
      • Ketcher—2 assemblys (See FIGS. K-1 and K2)
      • Ball Assembly—8 assembly's (See FIG. T-1)
        2. Description of how the Game is Played:
  • The Fling-A-Thing game is designed to be played outdoors. Place the ketchers approximately 20 feet apart on a flat surface, facing each other. This is considered the playing court. An individual, or a team consisting of 2 pair of individuals, will stand beside each ketcher on each side. Team members will face each other at opposite ends of the court. A coin toss should be used to determine which team or individual will toss first.
  • The ball assembly (the thing) can be flung from either side of the ketcher; however, you are not allowed to stand in front of the ketcher when tossing. Players will alternate flinging the thing at the ketcher, until the 8 things have been tossed.
  • The score will then be tallied. The team, which scores the highest amount of points, will be the team that throws the first toss from their end. This sequence of tossing is repeated until the final score is reached; thus winning the game.
  • 3. Scoring Objective:
  • The object of the game is to get the thing to stay on the upper, middle or lower rung of the ketcher whether it has fallen or been knocked off to another rung. The upper rung point score equals 3, the middle rung score equals 2 and the lower rung score equals 1. The first team to score 21 points is declared the winner. The maximum score attainable in a 4-thing toss is 12 points. The minimum score attainable in a 4-thing toss is 1. A player recieves no points if their thing toss does not land on one of the 3 rungs on the ketcher.

1. I am a single inventor who claims my invention is: The Fling-A-Thing game to be played as a multi-user outdoor toy for recreational entertainment only.
