  • FIG. 10 is a side cross-sectional view of the third preferred embodiment of a horizontal rod and a slide rail in an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • A first preferred embodiment of an upper frame 20 for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown in FIG. 2, includes a horizontal rod 30 of an inverted U-shape and a slide rail 40 as main components combined together. The slide rail 40 is positioned inside the horizontal rod 30 and provided thereon with plural slide blocks 50 preset in number respectively for connecting a screen 60. The horizontal rod 30 is provided with a control cord 70 and a control rod 80 at one end for respectively controlling the screens 60 to be expand, collapse or deflect.
  • The horizontal rod 30, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, consists axially of two rod portions 31. One of the two rod portions 31 has one of two connecting ends formed with two insert grooves 311, while the other of the two rod portions 31 has one of two connecting ends formed with two projections 312 matching with the two insert grooves 311. The two rod portions 31 can easily be connected together to make up the horizontal rod 30 by mutual engagement of the two inset grooves 311 and the two projections 312.
  • The slide rail 40, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, is axially formed with two slide rail portions 41. One of the two slide rail portions 41 has its connecting end formed with a projection 411, while the other slide rail portion 41 has its connecting end formed with an insert hole 412. The two slide rail portions 41 can easily be connected together to make up the slide rail 40 by mutual engagement of the projection 411 and the insert hole 412.
  • A second preferred embodiment of an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, is to have the two rod portions 31 connected together by a hinge 32 and a locking member 33. The hinge 32 is fixed at one side of the abutting connecting ends and the locking member 33 fixed at the other side of the abutting connecting ends of the two rod portions 31. In assembling, the two collapsed rod portions 31 are pivotally turned and positioned in alignment and then fixedly connected together by the locking member 33. In this preferred embodiment, the two slide rail portions 41 are connected together by a connecting rod 42 with a diameter smaller than that of the 41. The two sectional slide rails 41 are respectively bored with a hole 413 at the end facing the connecting rod 42 for the opposite ends of the connecting rod 42 to be respectively inserted therein so as to connect the two rod portions 41 together.
  • A third preferred embodiment of an upper frame for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 8, 9 and 10, is to have the two rod portions 31 of an inverted U-shape connected together by an outer connecting member 34 of an inverted U-shape and an inner connecting member 35 of nearly the same inverted U-shape. The outer connecting member 34 has its upper inner side provided with two engage blocks 341 spaced apart horizontally and two elastic fitting projections 342 spaced apart vertically. The two rod portions 31 have their upper abutting sides respectively bored with an engage groove 313 aligned to each other horizontally and their jointing portions bored with a notch 314. Thus, the two engage blocks 341 on the upper inner side of the outer connecting member 34 can be respectively engaged in the two engage grooves 313 of the two rod portions 31, and the two elastic fitting projections 342 of the outer connecting member 34 can be positioned in the notch 314 of the two rod portions 31. The inner connecting member 35 has its outer side bored with two engage grooves 351 spaced apart vertically to respectively engage with the two elastic fitting projections 342 of the outer connecting member 34 when the inner connecting member 35 is closely positioned on the inner sides of the two rod portions 31, which are then fixedly sandwiched by the outer and the inner connecting member 34, 35 in the connected condition.
  • The slide rail portions 41 in the third preferred embodiment are connected by an uncovered connecting rod 43, which has its intermediate part formed with a connecting section 431 having the same cross-sectional figuration and size as those of the two slide rail portions 41. The connecting section 431 of the connecting rod 43 has its opposite ends respectively extending horizontally and forming plural cross-shaped insert ribs 432, and the two slide rail portions 41 are respectively bored with a cross-shaped insert groove 414 at one end corresponding to the opposite ends of the connecting rod 43. Thus, the insert ribs 432 at two ends of the connecting rod 43 can be respectively inserted in the insert grooves 414 at the opposite ends of the two slide rail portions 41, letting two ends of the connecting section 431 of the connecting rod 43 push against the opposite ends of the two slide rail portions 41 and thus connecting the two slide rail portions 41 together.
  • As can be understood from the above description, the horizontal rod 30 and the slide rail 40 of the upper frame 20 for a vertical Venetian blind in the present invention are respectively composed of plural rod portions 31 and plural slide rail portions 41, which are respectively separable or collapsible. Before assembled, the rod portions 31 and the slide rail portions 41 are respectively in a separated or collapsible condition, able to be packed with less space to save cost in packing, storing and transporting.
  • While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
