A more specific object of the invention is the provision in such a device of a pair of resilient metallic members to grip the sides of the base of the light bulb and to make electrical contact therewith and a centering device to` engage the central button of the base of the bulb and make electrical contact therewith, all of whichvcooperate with means to support the tip of the bulb eniciently to support and provide the necessary electrical connections for the incandescent light in a manner to allow its ready mounting and de? mounting; such structure being simple and rugged and requiring a. minimum cost in production.
yA further object of the invention is the provision in such a device of a U-shaped metallic clip adapted to grip the sides of the base of the light bulb and a spring finger interposed between the arms of the U-shaped clip and having an indentation adapted to receive and center the central button of the base of the bulb.
Other objects of the invention will in part be obvious and will in part appear hereinafter.

The bottom of the cup-shaped portion I3 is 15 preferably cut out as shown to allow visibility of the light through the aperture I I in the panel I0. The bulb-tip support I2y is provided witha pair of Oppositely disposed ears v|5-I to aid in the mounting of the bulb-tip support l2. A clip member IG is provided with a pair of.- lingers II-II spaced apart a suliicient distance so that the body of the bulb-tip support I2 may be seated therebetween with the lingers. I'I -I'I engaging the ears I5-I5. The clip member I6 is secured `25 v to the panel in any suitable manner such as by a y screw I8. When the clip member I6 is mounted in position on the panel the bulb-tip support I2 can be readily mounted thereon by slipping the ears I5-I5 beneath the lingers II-I1. j
Directly opposite the structure described above is mounted a bulb-base support I9 including ay base 20, preferably `of insulating material and mounted in any suitable manner on a supporting bracket 2I. A centering spring finger 22 is mounted upon the base 20 in any suitable manner and is provided with a portion 23 having'a face. substantially perpendicular to the axisof the light bulb I4. This face is provided with anindentation 24 adapted to receive and center the central 40 button 25 of the base of the light bulb I4. A pair of spring arms 26-26 are additionally mounted upon the base 20 and disposed on opposite sides of the spring finger 22. The arms 26-26 are of sufhcient length and are shaped to engage and grip opposite sides of the light bulb base 21. In the preferred form, the spring arms 26-26 constitute parts of a U-shaped clip insulated from the spring linger 22 by an insulating washer 28 and held in position on the base 2D together .with 50 the spring finger 22 by a transiixing bolt 29 threaded into the bracket 2I as shown in Fig. 2. l Electrical connection with the light bulb I4 is made by spring arms 26-26 acting as one circuit terminal and the spring linger 22 acting as the 55 other circuit terminal. The resilience of the spring linger 22 and the spring arms 26-26 allow'ready and secure mounting of the light bulb I4, the cup-shaped portion I3 of the bulb-tip support I 2 cooperating with the indentation 24 of the spring finger 22 to properly position the light bulb I 4.
