Definitions
- the Dual Rear Racing Seat is for four seat race cars. There are so many race cars today that have four seats, but they only have racing seats in the front. This is because no one has come up with a racing seat for the back. This means that only the driver and the front passenger have protection and the riders in the back are just left with a basic seatbelt.
- the dual Rear Racing Seat is made just like the seat in the front, except it has racing seatbelts that come out from within the seat. Now the riders in the back can also have that extra protection.
- the seats high headrest and H-shaped seatbelts provide extra protection by preventing the riders head from snapping back during quick take-offs and allowing the riders to have a tight snug seatbelt on their waist and chest.
- the seatbelts pull-down and snap once at the waist and then again at the chest.
- the seatbelts meet at the waist from each side and the seatbelts meet again across the chest from each side. This is shown in drawings 1 A and 1 B.
- Drawing 2 B shows the Dual Rear Racing Seat with the belts concealed.
- the last drawing shows a 3D view of the seat without the seatbelts in it.
- the Dual Rear Racing Seat's main purpose is to protect the back riders and to create an even look to cars that already have racing seats in the front.
Abstract
The Dual Rear Race seat allows passengers that ride in the rear seat to have a harness style retractable seatbelt which provides them with stronger support than the standard shoulder strap. Also, it gives rear seat riders a high headrest to prevent whiplash when the vehicle comes to a quick stop. Last, it gives a uniform look to race cars by allowing the car to have a safe race seat for the riders in the back.
