- This device is a continuation in part of application Ser. No. 09/798,209. More specifically, this invention is directed to a device (membrane) created by the combination of four overlapping circles combined together inside the head of the racket particularly tennis for increased focal support in the center of the racket.
- the device comprises four overlapping circular zones which provide one sweet zone in the center of the racket which provides an increased focal support and pressure.
- Tennis rackets have had changes in the material making up the racket to provide increased strength and support. There has not been significant improvement in the head of the racket in design. Most rackets are made of an oval geometric area strung with different types of material. The inner design in the head of the racket does not have a geometric configuration of four overlapping circles and/or zones in the head of the racket.

- FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the head of the racket with an intermediate modification where the four separate zones become one.
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the head of the racket with the final modification of the integrated zones into one membrane integrated into the head of the racket.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the initial membrane in the head of the racket. It shows four geometrically configured circles with their respective zones individually and as one membrane. The increased focal spot in the center of all four circles provides extra strength to hit the ball or object whole the center of each individual circle provides secondary zones for focal support, strength and control.
- FIG. 2 is perspective view of the head of the racket with the four individual zones modified into one membrane which continues to provide the support, strength and control.
- FIG. 3 is perspective view of the membrane being further modified to be more easily adapted to be a part of the head of the racket. This final integration of the four circles into one greater membrane incorporates the physics and geometric ability of the four individual zones as well as the greater centralized zone in the center of the racket.
Abstract
The above and related objects are achieved by providing a device (membrane) comprising a geometrically configured head of the racket (tennis, etc.) where there is an increased power released upon hitting an object due to the geometric design that incorporates geometry and physics. This design has a particular emphasis to the various zones individually and/or jointly in the head of the racket. The device provides for both ease of attachment of strings to the head of the racket and of application (increased or focused) pressures to the ball or object being hit.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention is related to an article of manufacture. This device is a continuation in part of application Ser. No. 09/798,209. More specifically, this invention is directed to a device (membrane) created by the combination of four overlapping circles combined together inside the head of the racket particularly tennis for increased focal support in the center of the racket. In the preferred embodiments of this invention, the device comprises four overlapping circular zones which provide one sweet zone in the center of the racket which provides an increased focal support and pressure. There are four secondary sweet zones, each located at the center from the periphery of each of the four circles overlapping located in the head of the racket.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- It is the object of this invention to remedy the above as well as related deficiencies in the prior art. More specifically, it is the principal object of the present invention to provided geometrically configured membrane fitted in the head of the racket. It is another object of this invention to provide a geometrically configured membrane for pressure support which stretches inferior, superior, medial and lateral for 360° quadrant support made up of four overlapping circular zones providing the head of the racket with one large zone made up of four overlapping circles containing four smaller zones made up of the four individual circles. These multiple circles making up one larger membrane offer one zone of enhanced focal support for pressure, force, strength and control directed at ones ability to better serve and volley with the tennis ball and/or object used. This head of the racket with the individual circles offer secondary zones of pressure, force, strength and control.
- The above and related objects are achieved by providing a membrane made of four overlapping circles within the head of the racket geometrically configured where there is increased power released upon hitting the object and/or ball due to the geometric design with particular emphasis to the center of the strings in the racket. The membrane, thus, provides for both ease of attachment of strings to the head of the racket and of application of differential (increased or focused) pressures to the ball or object being hit. In this invention the pressure concentrating means of the composite comprises an area having a racket head design made of the frame with the plurality of rings (circles) holding the strings providing them with greater stretch resistance than the uniform head presently used provides, when an object or ball hits the strings due to the geometric design and support of the head of the racket integrated to the other parts of the racket as a whole.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the head of the racket with four individual circular zones overlapping each other creating the greater membrane in the head of the racket. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the head of the racket with an intermediate modification where the four separate zones become one. -
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the head of the racket with the final modification of the integrated zones into one membrane integrated into the head of the racket. -
FIG. -
FIG. 2 is perspective view of the head of the racket with the four individual zones modified into one membrane which continues to provide the support, strength and control. -
FIG. 3 is perspective view of the membrane being further modified to be more easily adapted to be a part of the head of the racket. This final integration of the four circles into one greater membrane incorporates the physics and geometric ability of the four individual zones as well as the greater centralized zone in the center of the racket.
Claims (2)
1. This device (membrane) the four overlapping circles creates through the science of physics and geometries an increased focal spot in the center of all four circles which provides enhanced support, strength and control for the ball or object being hit by the head of the racket.
2. This device (membrane) also provides a secondary enhanced focal spot in each of the four individual circular zones that make up the greater membrane.
