Abstract
A circular table includes a table board, and two opposite support units each foldably mounted on the table board. Each of the two support units includes a support stand pivotally mounted on one of two ends of the table board, and a support member pivotally mounted on a mediate of the table board and pivotally connected with the support stand. Thus, the two support units are expanded outward rapidly to support the table board rigidly and stably, thereby facilitating the user expanding the circular table. In addition, the support units are folded in the receiving space of the table board to fold the circular table when not in use, thereby saving space of storage, package and transportation.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a circular table, and more particularly to a circular table that is expanded easily and rapidly and is folded easily when not in use, thereby enhancing the versatility of the circular table.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional table is available for providing a support effect, thereby facilitating the user using the table. However, the conventional table has a fixed structure and cannot be folded when not in use, thereby increasing space of storage, and thereby causing inconvenience in storage, package and transportation.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a circular table that is supported rigidly and stably when being expanded and is folded when not in use, thereby enhancing the versatility of the circular table.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a circular table, wherein the two support units are expanded outward rapidly to support the table board rigidly and stably, thereby facilitating the user expanding the circular table.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a circular table, wherein the support units are folded in the receiving space of the table board to fold the circular table when not in use, thereby saving space of storage, package and transportation.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a circular table, comprising a table board, and two opposite support units each foldably mounted on a bottom of the table board, wherein:

- the bottom of the table board is formed with a receiving space; and
- each of the two support units is mounted in the receiving space of the table board and includes a support stand pivotally mounted on one of two ends of the table board, and a support member pivotally mounted on a mediate of the table board and pivotally connected with the support stand.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 12 is a bottom plan folded view of the circular table as shown inFIG. 9 . - Referring to the drawings and initially to
FIGS. 1-8 , a circular table 5 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises atable board 1, and twoopposite support units 4 each foldably mounted on a bottom of thetable board 1. - The bottom of the
table board 1 is formed with areceiving space 11. Thereceiving space 11 of thetable board 1 has two opposite sides each provided with asupport tube 11 which is secured on thetable board 1 by a plurality ofscrews 13 as shown inFIGS. 5-7 . - Each of the two
support units 4 is mounted in thereceiving space 11 of thetable board 1 and includes asupport stand 2 pivotally mounted on one of two ends of thetable board 1, and asupport member 3 pivotally mounted on a mediate of thetable board 1 and pivotally connected with thesupport stand 2. - The support stand 2 of each of the two
support units 4 is provided with anauxiliary locking member 21 having a mediate portion formed with a substantially C-shaped holder 22. - The
support member 3 of each of thesupport units 4 includes a substantially T-shaped support bar 30 having a first end pivotally mounted on the mediate portion of thetable board 1, and a substantially V-shaped extension bar 32 having a first end pivotally mounted on a second end of thesupport bar 30 and a second end pivotally mounted on theauxiliary locking member 21 of thesupport stand 2. Thesupport member 3 of each of thesupport units 4 further includes twoauxiliary support bars 31 each mounted on thesupport bar 30. The twoauxiliary support bars 31 are arranged on thesupport bar 30 in a substantially V-shaped manner to support thesupport bar 30. Thesupport bars 30 of the twosupport units 4 are juxtaposed to each other as shown inFIG. 2 . - The
receiving space 11 of thetable board 1 is formed with a plurality of receivingrecesses 14 for receiving thesupport stand 2 and thesupport member 3 of each of thesupport units 4 when being folded. - In practice, as shown in
FIGS. 1-3 , the support stand 2 of each of thesupport units 4 is pulled outward relative to thetable board 1 to drive thesupport member 3 to extend outward, thereby fully stretching thesupport member 3, so that thetable board 1 is supported by the twosupport units 4 rigidly and stably, thereby fully expanding the circular table 5 as shown inFIG. 1 . - As shown in
FIGS. 4-8 , when the user wishes to fold the circular table 5, the support stand 2 of each of thesupport units 4 is pressed toward thetable board 1 to drive thesupport member 3 to move and pivot inward, thereby moving and folding thesupport member 3 and the support stand 2 into thereceiving recesses 14 of thetable board 1, so that thesupport units 4 are folded in thereceiving space 11 of thetable board 1, thereby folding the circular table 5 as shown inFIG. 8 . When thesupport member 3 and thesupport stand 2 are folded, theholder 22 of thesupport stand 2 is clamped on thesupport bar 30 thesupport member 3, so that thesupport member 3 is combined with thesupport stand 2. - Accordingly, the two
support units 4 are expanded outward rapidly to support thetable board 1 rigidly and stably, thereby facilitating the user expanding the circular table 5. In addition, thesupport units 4 are folded in thereceiving space 11 of thetable board 1 to fold the circular table 5 when not in use, thereby saving space of storage, package and transportation. - Referring to
FIGS. 9-12 , a circular table 8 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises atable board 6 having a larger diameter, and twoopposite support units 7 each foldably mounted on a bottom of thetable board 6. - The bottom of the
table board 6 is formed with areceiving space 61. Thereceiving space 61 of thetable board 6 has two opposite sides each provided with asupport tube 62 which is secured on thetable board 6 by a plurality ofscrews 63. - Each of the two
support units 7 is mounted in thereceiving space 61 of thetable board 6 and includes a support stand 71 pivotally mounted on one of two ends of thetable board 6, and asupport member 76 pivotally mounted on a mediate of thetable board 6 and pivotally connected with thesupport stand 71. The support stand 71 of each of the twosupport units 7 is provided with anauxiliary locking member 72. Thesupport member 76 of each of thesupport units 7 includes a substantially T-shaped support bar 73 having a first end pivotally mounted on the mediate portion of thetable board 6, and a substantially V-shaped extension bar 75 having a first end pivotally mounted on a second end of thesupport bar 73 and a second end pivotally mounted on theauxiliary locking member 72 of the support stand 71. Thesupport member 76 of each of thesupport units 7 further includes twoauxiliary support bars 74 each mounted on thesupport bar 73. The twoauxiliary support bars 74 are arranged on thesupport bar 73 in a substantially V-shaped manner to support thesupport bar 73. Thesupport bars 73 of the twosupport units 7 are spaced from each other as shown inFIG. 10 . - The
receiving space 61 of thetable board 6 is formed with a plurality of receivingrecesses 64 for receiving the support stand 71 and thesupport member 76 of each of thesupport units 7 when being folded. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
Claims (12)
1. A circular table, comprising a table board, and two opposite support units each foldably mounted on a bottom of the table board, wherein:
the bottom of the table board is formed with a receiving space; and
each of the two support units is mounted in the receiving space of the table board and includes a support stand pivotally mounted on one of two ends of the table board, and a support member pivotally mounted on a mediate of the table board and pivotally connected with the support stand.
2. The circular table in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the receiving space of the table board has two opposite sides each provided with a support tube.
3. The circular table in accordance with claim 2 , wherein the support tube is secured on the table board by a plurality of screws.
4. The circular table in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the support stand of each of the two support units is provided with an auxiliary locking member, and the support member of each of the support units includes a support bar having a first end pivotally mounted on the mediate portion of the table board, and an extension bar having a first end pivotally mounted on a second end of the support bar and a second end pivotally mounted on the auxiliary locking member of the support stand.
5. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the support bar is substantially T-shaped.
6. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the extension bar is substantially V-shaped.
7. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the auxiliary locking member has a mediate portion formed with a substantially C-shaped holder.
8. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the support member of each of the support units further includes two auxiliary support bars each mounted on the support bar.
9. The circular table in accordance with claim 8 , wherein the two auxiliary support bars are arranged on the support bar in a substantially V-shaped manner to support the support bar.
10. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the support bars of the two support units are juxtaposed to each other.
11. The circular table in accordance with claim 4 , wherein the support bars of the two support units are spaced from each other.
12. The circular table in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the receiving space of the table board is formed with a plurality of receiving recesses for receiving the support stand and the support member of each of the support units when being folded.
