Abstract

The Fit-N-Bag is a stretchable, multi-sized, reusable, top secured form fitting receptacle liner for holding bags and/or contents. The content weight will determine the descent and ascent feature of the liner, resulting in improved accessibility to bags and/or contents.

Description

  • Fit-N-Bag is a reusable, top secured, form fitting liner for receptacles which can accommodate bags and/or contents
  • The Fit-N-Bag may be made of a stretchable material ie:Spandex with an elastic band at the top portion of the liner to secure liner to receptacle.
  • The stretchable quality of the material used and the content weight will determine the extent of the liner descent and ascent.

  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention relates to receptacles used in the home and workplace settings.
  • The use of this invention will minimize back bending in the retreival of bags and/or contents.
  • In the past whether at home or in the workplace, individuals have had to often bend excessively to retrieve bags and/or contents. Use of the Fit-N-Bag will minimize and in some instances eliminate the need for bending.
  • The weight descent and ascent feature of the liner will provide easier access to bags and/or contents.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The object of the invention is to provide an improved means of accessing bags and/or contents.
  • Backaches are a major source of aggravation to many in the population whether they be infirmed, homemakers, employees or the elderly.
  • In accordance with this invention, back bending will be minimized.
  • The Fit-N-Bag may be used in household trash receptacles providing homemakers a greater ease of use. The Liner may also be used in other household roomside; Laudry bag hampers, workroom storage receptacles as well as in workplace trash bins.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • FIG. 1 Depicts an In Use View of the Fit-N-Bag liner inside a receptacle. It is form fitting and secured at the top with the elastic band. The broken lines indicate the liner height when inserted. The content weight will then determine its descent.
  • FIG. 2 Depicts the Exterior View of the Fit-N-Bag liner showing the 1¼ inch width Casing and the (¾) inch width elastic band.
  • FIG. 3 Depicts the left side interior contrasted with the right side exterior in a Sectional View. The arrow paths indicate the (1) inch fold with the vertical and horizontal sewing machine double line along each fold sewn from the interior.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The Fit-N-Bag liner may be made by using a stretchable fabric such as Spandex and a top fitting elastic band (¾) inch width. The size of the fabric and the length of the elastic band will vary according to the size of the receptacle.
  • EXAMPLE
  • 28 Quart Basket
  • Items Needed
  • (A) 28 Quart Basket (Source—Housewares store)
  • (B) Elastic Band—33 inch length×¾ inch width (Source—Fabrics store)
  • (C) Spandex—35 inches length×15 inches height
  • (D) 100% Polyester Sewing Thread—(1) spool
  • (E) Sewing machine
  • (F) Sewing Needle—Ball Point For Knits #90/14
  • Production Process:
  • (A) Elastic Band Casing
      • (1) On top portion of Spandex make a 1¼ inch fold and horizontally Sewing Machine a double line to form a secure casing for the elastic band.
      • (2) Insert elastic band into the casing and secure it by Vertically stitching a double line at both ends of casing.
  • (B) Stitching
      • (1) Vertical
        • Make (1) inch folds at both ends of Spandex and unite liner ends by Sewing Machine a double line.
      • (2) Horizontal
        • Make (1) inch folds at Spandex base and unite bottom by Sewing Machine a double line.
  • (C) How to use:
        • Insert Fit-N-Bag liner into receptacle and fold elastic band over top of receptacle to secure the liner.
  • Fit-N-Bag is ready for use by inserting bag and/or contents.

Claims (3)

1. Improved accessibility to bags and/or contents as a result of liner descent/ascent feature
2. Minimized back bending on users part resulting in fewer back strains.
3. The Fit-N-Bag liner will take the shape of any receptacle as it is form fitting.
