Description

BACKGROUND

1. Field of Invention
This invention relates in general to utility holders, in particular to a compact utility holders, in particular to a compact utility holder which is used for holding drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers in a fixed position. This invention having the ability to secure the utility holder to a flat surface such as a table, a shelf, or any surface that would be applicable for service or storage of drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers.
2. Description of Prior Art
Prior art utility holders, compartment drawers, storage devices, closets are very elaborate in construction, which makes the cost much higher than my invention. The difficulties with the prior art are they need more parts to construct and have no ability to be fixed in position if required or removed from a fixed position becoming portable by transporting my invention from place to place as required.
Another type prior art is an overhead storage device which includes a storage container that is pivotally or rotatably mounted to an overhead surface, such as a ceiling or a plurality of rafters. The storage container is generally moved by a motorized actuator assembly. The motorized actuator assembly can comprise a worm drive and follower nut arrangement or a flexible transmitter and spool assembly. The storage container is supported by a frame assembly and is secured to the frame assembly generally at an end of the storage container. The overhead storage device is sized to allow a motor vehicle to fit below a raised storage container in an average height garage. The storage container is assembled from two generally identical halves that are nestable for shipping and storage. This prior art is not portable which makes the usefulness greatly limited and much more costly to manufacture. My invention can be used in the kitchen of the home as well as in a motor home, fifth wheel, trailer, boat, camper, van and patio. My invention is compact and easy to relocate from place to place.
Another type prior art is a swing down closet used for storage. This swing down closet comprises a generally box-like closet body which can be swung from an upper rest position to a lower work position while remaining generally upright, the closet being especially adapted for mounting in the entrance to a stairwell. A pair of parallel support members are mountable to the end wall of the entrance and each pivotally carries one end of a corresponding support arm, the other end of which is pivotally attached to a corresponding side of the closet body proximate the top thereof. Spring return means connected to the arm and the end wall or the support members provide a force to return the closet body to the rest position. Automatic latch means on the support members engage the support are at the “work” position to prevent unwanted return motion of the body. The latch means are actuated by downward movement, after which the closet body may return to its rest position under the influence of the spring return means. This prior art is not compact and is not portable making its usefulness limited. My invention can be attached and reattached as required to any flat surface.
Another type prior art is a storage device comprises a transportable closet rolls on rails mounted near the ceiling line of a closet. A cable, block, and tackle arrangement is included in the closet to raise and lower the cargo of clothes therein as the closet is moved into and out of dead storage. Therefore, the weight of the clothes counterbalances the weight of the closet and makes it easy to roll the closet. This invention does not have the ability to do what my invention does. My invention is compact and portable having the ability to hold in a fixed position drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers. My invention is designed to keep the items separate not allowing them to come in contact with each other. This prior art is nothing like my invention as a storage device. My invention is a storage device as well as a service device for the items held in a fixed position.
Another prior art is storage device comprises of a four-sided design with a bottom. On two sides are located a hinge device to allow the storage device to pull down allowing access to the open top area for storing items as required. When closing the storage device it is pulled upward causing the storage device to close under a shelf, table-top or whatever top surface being used. This prior art is not portable once used in a fixed location. My invention is light weight, portable, compact and has the ability to be moved when required by pulling upward causing the adhesive material attached on the bottom side to come loose from whatever surface it is attached to. The adhesive material will stay attached to the down surface of my invention but the bottom surface of the adhesive material is just sticky enough that allows my invention to be detached from any surface it is attached to, but still staying attached to the bottom of my invention for re-use when wanting to reattach my invention to another surface.
Another type prior art an adjustable compartment metal drawer which comprises of a bottom, four sides, adjustable partitions allowing the compartments to be of different sizes as required. Having an open top area for access to the different compartments. This prior art cannot hold drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers in a fixed position. My invention has the ability to hold these said items in an isolated area keeping each item apart from each other. This prior art does not have the versatility as my invention.
Objects and Advantages
Accordingly, besides the objects and advantages described above, several objects and advantages of the present invention are:
(a) to provide a utility holding device that is much more compact, and a more simplistic design than the prior art.
(b) to provide a utility holder less expensive to construct than the prior art.
(c) to allow the user of my invention to have more options where the utility holder can be used.
(d) to provide a utility holder that will stay in place while the motor home, fifth wheel, trailer, boat, camper, van is on the move.
(e) it provides safe storage with no damaged items. It takes the rattle out of the ride. The items are in separate recessed areas which keep each item from hitting each other.
(f) it provides a design that will fit any standard cabinet.
(g) It allows attachment and reattachment to any flat surface, by pulling up on the compact utility holder causing the bottom adhesive material to release from the surface it was attached to, then relocate to a different flat surface for reattachment by pressing down on the utility holder causing the bottom adhesive material to reattach to the new flat surface.
(h) it allows reattachment as many times as the user wishes.
It is the feature of the present invention that it provides a compact utility holder, comprising a holding container having a top, a bottom, a first side, a second side, a third side, a fourth side, plurality of recess areas, with a radius corner between each stated side, having adhesive material on said bottom having an adhesive cover, to be peeled off at time of first use.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved utility holder. Other objects and features are readily apparent from the following description of certain preferred embodiments thereof taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings although variations and modifications may be affected without departing from the sphere and scope of the normal concepts of the disclosed invention. You will find further objects and advantages of the invention from a consideration of the ensuing descriptions and accompanying drawings.

DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

The compact utility holder 9 shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, comprises of a holding container 10, having sufficient thickness, width and length, a top 11 having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a plurality of recess areas 17, a bottom 12, having sufficient thickness, width and length, having an adhesive material 22, having sufficient thickness, width and length, having an adhesive protective cover 23 having sufficient thickness, width and length, a first side 13 having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a radius corner 18, having sufficient area connecting said first side 13 to a third side 15, having sufficient thickness, width, and length, having a radius corner 19 having sufficient area connecting said third side 15 to a second side 14 having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a radius corner 20 having sufficient area connecting said second side 14 to a fourth side 16 having sufficient thickness, width, and length, having a radius corner 21 having sufficient area connecting said fourth side 16 to said first side 13.
Conclusion and Scope of Invention
Accordingly, the reader will see that the compact utility holder of this invention has the ability to be portable, simplistic and less costly to manufacture.
Furthermore, the compact utility holder has the additional advantages in that:

- it provides no need for a complex design.
- it provides proper storage of items to be stored.
- it permits the user to a simple way to attach to any flat surface.
- it provides compactness allowing the compact utility holder to be a smaller configuration.
- it provides a portable unit that is easy to transport from one area to another area.
- it provides a very decorative compact utility holder.
- it provides a compact design to fit any standard cabinet.
- it provides a needed service for homes, motor homes, fifth wheels, trailers, boats, campers, vans and patios.

Although the description above contains many specifications, these should not be construed as limiting the scope of the invention but merely providing illustrations of some of the presently preferred embodiments of this invention. For example, the compact utility holder may be of other shapes, such as square, oval, trapezoidal, triangular, etc. The material may be plastic, wood, metal, foam, rubber, cork, synthetic particle board, synthesize polymer, styrene foam or a combination of any of these materials to form the holding container.
Thus, the scope of the invention should be determined by the appended claims and their legal equivalents, rather than by the examples given.

Claims

1. A compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers which comprises a holding container having sufficient thickness, width and length having a top having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a plurality of recess areas, having sufficient width and length, a bottom having sufficient thickness, width and length, having an adhesive material, having sufficient thickness, width and length, having an adhesive protective cover, having sufficient thickness, width and length, a first side, having sufficient thickness, width, length, having a radius corner having sufficient area connecting said first side to a third side, having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a radius corner having sufficient area connecting said third side to a second side, having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a radius corner having sufficient area connecting said second side to a fourth side having sufficient thickness, width and length, having a radius corner having sufficient area connecting said fourth side to said first side.

2. The compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers of claim 1 wherein said top having sufficient space between said plurality recess areas.

3. The compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers of claim 1 wherein said first side and said second side to be parallel to each other.

4. The compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers of claim 1 wherein said third side and fourth side to be parallel to each other.

5. The compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers of claim 1 wherein said holding container having said adhesive material on said bottom allowing said holding container to hold firm to any flat surface by first peeling off said adhesive protective cover, then by pressing downward on said holding container.

6. The compact utility holder for drinking glasses, cups, mugs, utensils, condiment and cosmetic containers of claim 1 wherein said holding container by pulling upward causing the said adhesive material on said bottom to let loose of the attached flat surface allowing said holding container to be reattached to a different location as required by user.
