Abstract

This type unique one of a kind, portable activity ring is designed to contain infants, and utilized as an activity center for toddlers. The Activity Ring is designed for portability, and comfort for infants. Its broad-based functions include, but are not limited to portable basinet, crib and activity center. The fabric covered, all foam construction has been designed for the comfort and safety of the infant, coupled with the Activity Ring ease of use, as it does not have mechanical or movable parts. The Activity Ring wall and floor can be assembled in 30 seconds. When not in use, the Activity Ring is light and can be easily folded for storage inside the rip stop duffel bag. The Activity Ring is designed for indoor and outdoor use.

Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

Overview of the infant activity ring, with basic dimensions for this circular ring approximately 15-inch vertical walls consisting of rip stop/cotton fabric covered 2-inch thick high-density polyurethane foam. At the base of the vertical ring is a urethne coat nylon bottom liner, rip stop/cotton fabric covers high-density polyurethane foam, and inserted bottom pad.

Exploded view of sidewall construction consisting of at least 15 inch high by 2 inch thick high-density polyurethane foam, welded together in a circular fashion, resulting in a 4-foot diameter. The vertical wall ring is covered with fitted removable, rip stop/pre-shrunk washable cotton fabric and urethane nylon bottom liner. This removable fabric covering with urethane nylon bottom liner is secured with a continuous zipper located around the bottom of the base of the 15 inch high vertical wall.

Being made from a single piece of 1<<inch high-density polyurethane foam cut in a 4 foot diameter circle as to fit snugly at the interior base of the vertical ring. This foam bottom insert is first covered with welded 6 mil. protective vinyl, then slip fitted with a removable ripstop/pre-shrunk washable cotton fabric covering. This foam pad is held in place by urethane nylon liner sewn to bottom covering 15-inch vertical wall inside base, or bottom of the activity ring attached to the continuous zipper located around the bottom of the base of the 15 inch high vertical wall. This bottom pad insert may be removed for singular use, or as the base pad of the activity ring.

Claims

1. Including but not limited to the circular foam design of this activity ring, is better designed for infant safety as there are no corners, found in traditional rectangular baby cribs/playpens, activity ring approximately at least 15 inch vertical walls, is designed to be place on the ground therefore, making its design safer for the child in the event of the child crawling over the wall than cribs/playpens designed off the ground.

2. Including but not limited to the circular design of this activity ring creates a wider more open atmosphere for the child, and more visibility for the parent, not limited to the weight, portability, and simplicity of design, lending more convenience for user, than conventional rectangular designed cribs/playpens using other materials such wood, metals or plastic.

3. All foam construction is more comfortable safer for child, a easy removable by the continuous PVC zipper, washable rip stop urethane coated nylon, cotton fabric, durable protection for the polyurethane foam walls, mattress and floor closure urethane coated liner.
