Abstract
A mask structure includes a covering body and a pair of elastic bands formed on the opposite sides, for coveting a wear's nose and mouth of the face. The covering body can be a plane sheet or a cup-shaped cover. The mask structure is characterized in that an inner cover of the covering body includes an adhesive layer on the peripheral thereof, and a corresponding paper layer is attached on the adhesive layer, wherein after the paper layer is detached from the adhesive layer, by pressing the covering body, the adhesive layer is adhered to the wear's face so that the covering body is closely and completely covering the wear's nose and mouth for efficiently preventing virus infections.
Description
- The present invention relates in general to a sanitary mask and more particularly to such a sanitary mask suitable to be worn by users to closely contact users' face on periphery so as to efficiently prevent virus infections.
- Conventional
sanitary mask 1A, as shown in FIG. 1, provides a plane sheet of a coveringbody 11A, and a pair ofelastic bands 12A formed on two opposite sides of the coveringbody 11A, to cover the wearer's nose and mouth. The coveringbody 11A includes one ore more filtering layers. If there are more than one filtering layers, they may successively include, from outside to inside, an asbestos fiber layer, a polypropylene (PP) non-woven fabric layer, an active carbon layer, another PP layer, an anti-static non-woven fabric layer, another active carbon layer and a cotton layer. The filtering layers can filter harmful aerosols to prevent virus infections. - Another conventional
sanitary mask 2A, as shown in FIG. 2, provides a cup shaped coveringbody 21A and a pair ofelastic bands 22A. The coveringbody 21A also includes one ore more filtering layers. Such as a front filtering layer, an intermediate filtering layer and a static filtering layer. The front filtering layer is made of high porous filter material as an outer surface. The intermediate filtering layer is mad of porous filter material including the phonic-catalyst and less active carbon. The static filtering layer with high performance is as an inner cover surface. All the filtering layers are bonded together by heat sealing, adhering or other manufacturing process into a unitary laminate. - However, when the above-mentioned
masks - To resolve the problems existed in the conventional masks as described above, the Applicant, with many years experience in this field, has developed an improved mask structure as follows.
- The present invention provides a mask structure suitable to be worn by users to closely contact the wear's face on periphery of the inner cover of the covering body so as to efficiently prevent virus infections.
- According to the present invention, a mask includes a covering body and a pair of bands on two opposite sides of the covering body, for covering a wear's nose and mouth of the face. The mask structure of present is characterized in that an inner cover of the covering body includes an adhesive layer on the peripheral thereof, and a corresponding paper layer is attached on the adhesive layer, wherein after the paper layer is detached from the adhesive layer, by pressing the covering body, the adhesive layer is adhered to the wear's face so that the covering body is closely and completely covering the wear's face.
- Wherein the covering body can be a soft plane sheet and includes an outer layer made of a fiber material and a plurality of inner filtering layers, or a molded cup-shaped cover and includes a plurality of filtering layer.
- These as well as other features of the present invention will become more apparent upon reference to the drawings wherein:
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a conventional sanitary mask;
- FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of another conventional sanitary mask;
- FIG. 3 shows an exposed view of a sheet-type mask according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 4 shows an unused status of the sheet-type mask in FIG. 3;
- FIG. 5 shows a ready to use status of the sheet-type mask in FIG. 3; and
- FIG. 6 shows a perspective view of a cup-type mask according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- The present invention is concerned about a mask structure suitable for conventional cotton masks, paper masks, active carbon masks, N95 masks from 3M Corporation and etc. Referring to FIG. 3, a sheet-
type mask 1 according a preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown. Themask 1 includes a coveringbody 11 made by a soft plane sheet. The outer surface of themask 1 is made of a fiber material and a plurality of inner filtering layer, such as including an active carbon layer, anti-static layer, and etc for filtering virus. There is a pair ofelastic bands 12 served as an ear-looping section extending from two opposite sides of the coveringbody 11. - In this preferred embodiment, the inner cover of the covering
body 11 includes anadhesive layer 13 on the periphery. Theadhesive layer 13 is integrally bonded with the coveringbody 11, and is made of the medical glue. Such that, theadhesive layer 13 can closely and firmly adhere to the wear's face, and is not allergic and harmful to the wear's skin. Furthermore, there is acorresponding paper layer 14 attached to theadhesive layer 13. - Please refer to FIG. 4, before the
mask 1 is used, thepaper layer 14 is attached on theadhesive layer 13 and is not removed. Theadhesive layer 13 is protected by thepaper layer 14 from contaminations. - While the
mask 1 is ready for use, referring to FIG. 5, thepaper layer 14 is detached from theadhesive layer 13. Thebands 12 are stretched to hang on wear's ears, and the coveringbody 11 is then covering the wear's nose and mouth. Meanwhile, by pressing the outer peripheral of the coveringbody 11, theadhesive layer 13 is completely adhered to the wear's skin. Therefore, the coveringbody 11 is closely contacted to the wear's face and there is no gap therebetween. - As shown in FIG. 6, there is a cup-
type mask 2 according to another embodiment of the present invention. Themask 2 includes a molded coveringbody 21 with a cup shape and a pair ofelastic bands 22 formed on the opposite sides. The coveringbody 21 includes anadhesive layer 23 on the outer peripheral for adhering to the wear's face. - This disclosure provides exemplary embodiments of the present invention. The scope of the present invention is not limited by these exemplary embodiments. Numerous variations, whether explicitly provided for by the specification or implied by the specification, such as variations in structure, dimension, type of material and manufacturing process may be implemented by one of skill in the art in view of this disclosure.
