Abstract

A rectangular pocket is attached to a triangular cuff with a triangular side portion of the cuff folding over the opening in the pocket to create a pocket closure with a fashion look. The curve of the pocket around a wrist or other part of the body causes the overlapping triangular pocket closure to retain securely any items placed in the pocket. Triangular pointed ends of the cuff overlap and create a fashion look with the ends interconnected by fasteners, such as snaps, hook and loop type mating fasteners or an open ended clasp. Different combinations of materials on the pocket and both sides of the cuff provide similar or complementary fashion looks.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to personal carrying devices and in particular to a wearable attached storage pocket in a fashionable wearable cuff capable of curving around a portion of the body of a wearer so that the curve of the pocket causes the overlapping triangular pocket closure to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a pocket flap fastener. A fastener may be added for extra security and as a fashion embellishment.

2. Description of the Prior Art

There are certain essentials which must be carried for everyday activity including keys, credit cards, a driver's license, cash, and change. These items carried on the person have to be stored somewhere. While men tend to load a number of items in their pockets, women often tend not to carry many items in pockets, which are not as often built into women's clothes and not used because carrying items in the pockets would spoil the intended look or style of the clothing. Often women carry purses, but that can be a nuisance to carry around and can also detract from a look or style.

Femininity and fashion go hand in hand. And carrying a purse is not always an appropriate fashion statement. There is a need for a fashionable means to carry items without disturbing the look being created by a particular clothing fashion statement.

There have been a number of prior art patents attempting to address this problem, but they often utilize fastening elements and constructions in order to secure the device around the wrist or other portion in order to enclose a carrying compartment, which, as designed previously, detract from a fashionable look.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,711,202, issued Jun. 21, 1955 to Ruth Freedman, provides a lady's cuff bag meant to be worn as a cuff at the wrist or any arm region of a hand, and if desired, can be carried as a hand bag. It includes a zipper closure and elastic strips to secure the bag around a wrist.

U.S. Pat. No. 2,459,992, issued Jan. 25, 1949 to Thomas D. Cimino, shows a sleevelet-purse adapted to be worn on the forearm. More particularly, it relates to the combination in a sleevelet of purse pockets for coins, cosmetics, pen or pencil, and the like, and to novel features of construction thereof to adapt the same to be slipped on and off the forearm of the wearer and to be worn or carried thereon when desired. A tapered zipper and wristband snap secure the sleevelet to the arm.

U.S. Pat. #D391,075, issued Feb. 24, 1998 to Jackson, et al., discloses the ornamental design for a wrist-attached article carrier, using Velcro pocket closures and Velcro attaching means around the wrist.

U.S. Pat. #D373, 900, issued Sep. 24, 1996 to John T. Montgomery, Sr., describes the ornamental design for a wrist wallet with pocket, having an overlap pocket closure, a fold-over feature and a Velcro attaching means to secure it to the wrist.

U.S. Pat. No. 3,189,073, issued Jun. 15, 1965 to Robert H. Todd, indicates an arm and hand purse which uses snap closures on at least one exterior pocket as well as zipper closure pockets and an overlapping strap with various snap fittings to install it adjustably around the wrist.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,341,972, issued Aug. 30, 1994 to R. Benton Jacks;, puts forth a wrist watch wallet is disclosed having a main band with a watch attached to the outer surface thereof. The main band is designed to conveniently store in a concealed manner such items as currency, keys, and event tickets. The main band is made of thin, flexible, fashionable material and has sufficient length so that it may be wrapped in an overlapping manner around the user's wrist. Attached to the opposite ends of the main band are complimentary primary hook and loop connector pads which are interconnected to hold the main band in place around the user's wrist. During manufacturing, a longitudinally aligned full length opening is formed on the rear surface of the main band which allows access to the full length, longitudinally aligned main pocket formed therein. One end of the main band is closed while the opposite end is opened thereby providing a transversely aligned opening into the main pocket. Attached along the closed end of the main band is an inward curved, rigid insert member which acts to improve the gripping strength of the primary hook and loop connector pads during use. Also manufactured inside the main band is an optional second pocket used to carry smaller objects. Key pockets are also provided for carrying keys.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,671,481, issued Sep. 30, 1997 to B. Joan Giard, concerns a sweatband is made at least partially of towel fabric, and may be composed of two, three, or more plies of fabric. Fabric material is cut, sewed, and folded to a shape adapted to provide an interior portion for carrying small articles and/or for cleaning or drying other articles. The interior portion of some embodiments has a laterally-opening pocket which is folded longitudinally along a fold line when in use. Other embodiments have an elastic strip which folds transversely inside a fold connecting two side portions. The elastic strip provides an expandable opening for inserting fingers. The elastic strip may be attached to the interior portion of the sweatband at one or more intermediate places along the length of the elastic strip, to define separate loops for two or more individual fingers. Fasteners such as hook-and-loop fastener strips at the two ends, provide for connecting the ends to make a closed loop to fit a wrist. The fasteners are adapted to allow accommodation to various wrist sizes. Other types of fasteners such as buttons with buttonholes, zippers, and the like may also be used. The particular shape of some embodiments is also adapted to allow free motion of a joint of the user's limb: slanted or curvilinear shapes at the two ends cooperate to form a notch when the two ends are fastened together. In use, the notch may be positioned to be adjacent to a joint of the user's limb, or adjacent to the user's forearm or calf.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,461,030, issued Jul. 17, 1984 to Phillip E. Knudsen, illustrates a bag formed from a single sheet of flexible material having two ends and two edges folded parallel to the ends to provide front and back surfaces that are sealed together along the edges to provide a pocket. Each of the surfaces extends toward an opening into the pocket through which articles for support may pass and from which articles may be removed. One of the surfaces extends beyond the opening of the pocket and is folded over the end of the other surface. The end of the folded over surface is positioned directly below the end of the other surface outside of the bag and elastic members are held captive within the ends whereby by stretching the bag in the direction of the sealed edges and maintaining the bag in a stretched condition a plurality of closure seals are formed to close the opening to the bag. In addition, when the bag is joined sealed edge to sealed edge and stretched around a form, the stretched ends of the bag that form the opening to the bag, also support the bag around the form.

What is needed is a secure yet fashionable wearable pocket which utilizes the fashion to carry out the function of the wearable cuff carrier.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to utilize an element of a fashionably shaped wearable cuff as a flap for closing a pocket on the wearable cuff, thereby maintaining the desired fashion look while still enclosing items carried in the pocket.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a pocket closure with a fashion look that is also highly functional, so that the curve of the pocket around a wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts causes the overlapping triangular pocket closure to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a pocket flap fastener.

Another object of the present invention is to provide concealed fastening means for securing the wearable cuff around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an alternative place to carry items so that it eliminates bulk in the pockets of the clothing of the wearer.

One more object of the present invention is to provide snap securing means for attaching the wearable cuff around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts, which provides a lightweight non-irritating connecting means which does not bind the skin of the wearer.

An associated object of the present invention is to provide various attachment options such as a hook or hooks, hook and loop fasteners such as Velcro® as well as mating magnetic fasteners and other fashionable clasps which are appropriate for different applications of the present invention, on different occasions, and for attachment to other parts of the body or clothing or accessories or personal transportation devices.

Yet another associated object of the present invention is to provide a closeable storage pocket-type space used primarily as a wearable cuff but which may be carried in other ways such as wrapped around bike handlebars or on the front of a purse or spread out as a flat front pocket adhered to a tote bag or beach towel, or worn on other parts of the body, such as around the ankles or neck or as a kerchief or around the waist in association with a belt or other wardrobe, or it may be fabricated of soft T-shirt material for under a man's suit, or made of neoprene and worn on the wrist or ankle for an active exercise lifestyle including wearing it at the beach.

Still another object of the present invention is to provide a minimalist shape to store only what needed in an emergency, such as allowing people of certain religions to have necessary items who are not allowed to physically “carry” things on their Sabbath rather than resorting to alternatives such as pinning house keys to blouse.

In brief, the wearable cuff of the present invention has a wearable cuff in the shape of an isosceles triangle with an elongated base fabricated of material with a desired fashion look that hooks together around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts with snaps or hooks and loops or other non binding fasteners. The overlapping pointed ends of the wearable cuff at the snap location create a fashion look.

A rectangular pocket fabricated of material with a desired fashion look, the same as or complementing the top side of the wearable cuff, is sewn onto the wearable cuff with the bottom of the pocket aligned with the elongated base of the isosceles triangle and each of the two top corners of the pocket contacting one side of the isosceles triangle leaving a smaller isosceles triangle on the wearable cuff protruding beyond the pocket. The protruding triangle has a base equal to the width of the pocket and forms a flap which folds over the pocket to form a closure for the pocket. With the cuff around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer the pocket is curved sufficiently so that the flap curves and thereby creates a tight closure over the pocket which does not flap open while wearing the cuff. The visible portion of the protruding triangular flap in the closed position over the pocket has a side exposed with the material that is on the bottom of the cuff, which has a fashion style either similar to or complementing the fashion style of the top of the cuff.

The fashion look of the wearable cuff with pocket may be fabricated to go with every look imaginable. With a wide variety of possible materials and fashion looks, there is a wearable cuff to fit every mood and special ones themed to fit holiday celebrations. To change a fashion look it is merely necessary to change to a different wearable cuff with a quick snap to install it.

An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a place to store items securely to the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer so that the items do not spoil the fashion look of the clothes of the wearer by being stuffed in a pant, shirt or jacket pocket.

A further advantage of the present invention is that it provides a pocket closure with a fashion look which is also highly functional in that the curve of the pocket around a wrist or other part of the body causes the overlapping triangular pocket closure to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a pocket flap fastener.

Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a place to store items in a wearable cuff with a particular desired fashion look which may be coordinated with the fashion look of the clothes of the wearer.

An additional advantage of the present invention is that the closure and pocket closure do not bind or irritate the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of the wearer.

Yet one more advantage of the present invention is that it provides a new type of carrying case that suits many users lifestyles with ease, comfort and coordinated with business as well as social attire.

A further advantage of the present invention is that it allows hands free carrying of items, particularly useful when the clothing being worn has no pockets.

Still one more advantage of the present invention is that it looks like a French cuff using a simple triangle shape.

A corollary advantage of the present invention is that it is functional and attractive at the same time.

Yet another advantage of the present invention is that it eliminates bulk in the pockets of the clothing of the wearer.

One more advantage of the present invention is that the pocket closure creates a fashion look.

Yet another advantage of the present invention is that the overlapping pointed ends of the fashion cuff create a unique and appealing fashion look.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

In FIGS. 1-4 a [0045] wearable cuff 20 has a pocket material 26 attached, by sewing with stitches 28 or other means around three sides of the pocket, with a pocket closure 24 and a wearable cuff closure having overlapping pointed ends 18 and 19 which each contribute to a fashion look.
The [0046] wearable cuff portion 21 is fabricated of a piece of cuff material in the shape of a triangle which has an elongated base 14 with the two end points 18 and 19 of the base of the triangle each having a mating closure means, such as mating snaps 23 and 25 (in FIG. 1), mating hook and loop fastener means 23A and 25A (in FIG. 1A), mating magnetic means 23B and 23B (in FIG. 1B) built into the fabric layers, or other means which could include mating hook and loop fasteners or other releasable attaching means, so that the two end points 18 and 19 are capable of overlapping, with one end point 19 exposed, as in FIGS. 3 and 4, to create a fashion look, around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer with the mating closure means 23 and 25 mutually engaged to secure the wearable cuff.
The pocket is formed by a piece of [0047] pocket material 26, preferably rectangular in shape, attached to the cuff material 21 to form a pocket between the cuff material 21 and the pocket material 26. The pocket material is attached with a slight bulge so that the pocket is capable of receiving and storing external objects therein with the wearable cuff attached to a wrist of the wearer and with an edge 12 of the pocket material 26 not attached to the cuff material to leave a pocket opening 27 between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket opening 27 communicating with an interior of the pocket capable of receiving external items through the pocket opening. The pocket material 26 is attached to the cuff material 21 so that a triangular closure portion 24 of the cuff material protrudes beyond the pocket adjacent to the pocket opening 27, the triangular closure portion capable of being folded over the pocket opening, along a fold line 22, to form a triangular closure 24 over the pocket opening, as seen in FIGS. 3 and 4 to retain the external objects within the pocket with the wearable cuff attached to the wrist of the wearer, wherein the triangular closure 24 creates a fashion look which is also highly functional in that the curve of the pocket around a wrist or other part of the body causes the overlapping triangular pocket closure to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a pocket flap fastener.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, the [0048] pocket material 26 is preferably rectangular in shape and a pocket opening side 12 of the rectangle forms the pocket opening with each of the corners of the pocket opening side attached to the cuff material in proximity to a side of the triangular cuff material at points 15 and 16 along the sides of the cuff material 21 thereby leaving the protruding triangular closure portion 24 extending outwardly from the pocket opening 27.
The [0049] cuff material 21 is preferably formed in the shape of a right isosceles triangle and the corners of the pocket opening contact two adjacent sides of the right angle of the right isosceles triangle at intersection points 15 and 16 to form the triangular closure portion 24 protruding beyond the pocket opening in the shape of a smaller right triangle than that of the entire wearable cuff material.
The [0050] wearable cuff material 21 has a first side 10 of the cuff material which is exposed with the wearable cuff installed around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of the wearer fabricated of a first material having a particular fashion look. The second side 111 of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer may have a similar fashion look or a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion is folded over the pocket, the triangular closure portion 24 of material with the second side 11 exposed has a similar fashion look or a complementary to the first side 10 of the cuff material as seen in FIGS. 3 and 4.
The [0051] pocket material 26 may have a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material 10 or a complementary fashion look and may likewise have a similar or complimentary look to the second side 11 of the cuff material.
A method of making a [0052] wearable cuff 20 having a pocket 26 with a pocket closure 24 and a wearable cuff closure with an overlapping end point 19, which each contribute to a fashion look comprises:
A first step of forming a [0053] wearable cuff portion 21 of a piece or two pieces of cuff material 10 and 11 as seen in FIG. 2, which may have an interlining 13, in the shape of a triangle having an elongated base 14 with two end points 18 and 19 of the base of the triangle;
A second step of attaching a mating closure means, such as mating snaps [0054] 23 and 25 or other attaching means, to each of the two end points 18 and 19 of the base of the triangle so that the two end points are capable of overlapping around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer, with an exposed overlap point 19 to make a fashion look as seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, and with the mating closure means, the snaps 23 and 25, mutually engaged to secure the wearable cuff around the wrist or other portion of the body such as the ankle, knee, thigh, neck or other portions of the arm or other body parts of a wearer;
A third step of forming a pocket by attaching a piece of [0055] pocket material 26, preferably in a rectangular shape, to the cuff material to form a pocket between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket capable of receiving and storing external objects therein with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer with three edges attached by stitching 28 or other means and one edge 12 of the pocket material left unattached to the cuff material to form a pocket opening 27 between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket opening communicating with an interior of the pocket capable of receiving external items through the pocket opening, the pocket material attached on the cuff material each of the corners of the pocket opening side attached to the cuff material in proximity to a side of the triangular cuff material at intersecting points 15 and 16 so that a triangular closure portion 24 of the cuff material 21 protrudes beyond the pocket adjacent to the pocket opening, the triangular closure portion capable of being folded over the pocket opening along a fold line 22 to form a closure over the pocket opening to retain the external objects within the pocket with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer.
The step of forming the cuff material preferably comprises forming the cuff material in the shape of a right isosceles triangle and the corners of the pocket opening contact two adjacent sides of the right angle of the right isosceles triangle at intersecting [0056] points 15 and 16 to form the triangular closure portion 24 protruding beyond the pocket opening in the shape of a smaller right triangle than that of the entire wearable cuff material.
As seen in FIG. 2, the step of forming the cuff material may comprise fabricating a [0057] first side 10 of the cuff material 21 which is exposed with the wearable cuff installed around the wrist of the wearer of a first material having a particular fashion look and fabricating a second side 11 of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the skin of the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wrist or ankle or other portion of the wearer of a similar fashion look or a complementary to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion 24 is folded over the pocket as seen in FIGS. 3 and 4, the triangular closure portion 24 with the second side 11 now exposed has a similar fashion look or a complementary fashion look to the first side 10 of the cuff material.
The step of forming the [0058] pocket material 26 may comprise fabricating the pocket material of a material which has a similar fashion look or a complementary fashion look to the first side 10 of the cuff material and correspondingly a similar or complementary fashion look to the second side 11.
A wide variety of materials may be used, such as the wearable pocket made of fabric, neoprene, plastic, leather, or other materials which can be assembled in the method of the present invention and various accessories and attachments also made to contribute to a particular fashion look. Snap fasteners are preferred since they do not bind or irritate the skin and are not visible so they do not detract from the fashion look, but other fasteners are also possible within the scope of the claims including hook and loop type mating fasteners or an open-ended clasp. It is understood that the preceding description is given merely by way of illustration and not in limitation of the invention and that various modifications may be made thereto without departing from the spirit of the invention as claimed. [0060]

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A wearable cuff having a pocket with a pocket closure and a wearable cuff closure which each contribute to a fashion look which is highly functional, the wearable cuff comprising:

a wearable cuff portion of a piece of cuff material in the shape of a triangle having an elongated base with the two end points of the base of the triangle each having a mating closure means so that the two end points are capable of overlapping around a portion of a body of a wearer with the mating closure means mutually engaged to secure the wearable cuff around the wearer;

a pocket formed by a piece of pocket material attached to the cuff material to form a pocket between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket capable of receiving and storing external objects therein with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer with an edge of the pocket material not attached to the cuff material to form a pocket opening between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket opening communicating with an interior of the pocket capable of receiving external items through the pocket opening, the pocket material attached on the cuff material so that a triangular closure portion of the cuff material protrudes beyond the pocket adjacent to the pocket opening, the triangular closure portion capable of being folded over the pocket opening to form a closure over the pocket opening to retain the external objects within the pocket with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer so that the triangular closure portion is capable of forming a unique and appealing fashion look which is also highly functional in that the pocket is capable of curving around a portion of the body and the overlapping triangular closure portion is capable of curving over the pocket to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a fastener.

2. The wearable cuff of claim 1 further comprising a fastener means attached between the triangular closure portion and the pocket.

3. The wearable cuff of claim 1 wherein the pocket material is rectangular in shape and a pocket opening side of the rectangle forms the pocket opening with each of the corners of the pocket opening side attached to the cuff material in proximity to a side of the triangular cuff material thereby leaving the protruding triangular closure portion extending outwardly from the pocket opening.

4. The wearable cuff of claim 3 wherein the cuff material is formed in the shape of a right isosceles triangle and the corners of the pocket opening contact two adjacent sides of the right angle of the right isosceles triangle to form the triangular closure portion protruding beyond the pocket opening in the shape of a smaller right triangle than that of the entire wearable cuff material.

5. The wearable cuff of claim 1 wherein the mating closure comprises a closure means taken from the list of closure means including a mating pair of snap closures, mating hook and loop fastener means, mating magnetic fasteners, a hook and loop.

6. The wearable cuff of claim 1 wherein a first side of the cuff material which is exposed with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer is fabricated of a first material having a particular fashion look.

7. The wearable cuff of claim 6 wherein a second side of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion is folded over the pocket, the triangular closure portion has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

8. The wearable cuff of claim 7 wherein the pocket material has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

9. The wearable cuff of claim 7 wherein the pocket material has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

10. The wearable cuff of claim 6 wherein a second side of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion is folded over the pocket, the triangular closure portion creates a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

11. The wearable cuff of claim 10 wherein the pocket material has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

12. The wearable cuff of claim 6 wherein the pocket material has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

13. A method of making a wearable cuff having a pocket with a pocket closure and a wearable cuff closure which each contribute to a fashion look, the method comprising:

a first step of forming a wearable cuff portion of a piece of cuff material in the shape of a triangle having an elongated base with the two end points of the base of the triangle;

a second step of attaching a mating closure means to each of the two end points of the base of the triangle so that the two end points are capable of overlapping around a portion of a body of a wearer with the mating closure means mutually engaged to secure the wrist cuff on the wearer;

a third step of forming a pocket by attaching a piece of pocket material to the cuff material to form a pocket between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket capable of receiving and storing external objects therein with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer with an edge of the pocket material left unattached to the cuff material to form a pocket opening between the cuff material and the pocket material, the pocket opening communicating with an interior of the pocket capable of receiving external items through the pocket opening, the pocket material attached on the cuff material so that a triangular closure portion of the cuff material protrudes beyond the pocket adjacent to the pocket opening, the triangular closure portion capable of being folded over the pocket opening to form a closure over the pocket opening so that the triangular closure portion is capable of forming a fashion look which is also highly functional in that the pocket is capable of curving around a portion of the body and the overlapping triangular closure portion is capable of curving over the pocket to retain securely any items placed in the pocket by binding the top of the pocket closed without the need for a fastener, with the wearable cuff attached to the wearer.

14. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of attaching the pocket material further comprises forming the pocket material in a rectangular shape and attaching the pocket material to the cuff material so that a pocket opening side of the rectangle forms the pocket opening with each of the corners of the pocket opening side attached to the cuff material in proximity to a side of the triangular cuff material thereby leaving the protruding triangular closure portion extending outwardly from the pocket opening.

15. The method of claim 14 wherein the step of forming the cuff material comprises forming the cuff material in the shape of a right isosceles triangle and the corners of the pocket opening contact two adjacent sides of the right angle of the right isosceles triangle to form the triangular closure portion protruding beyond the pocket opening in the shape of a smaller right triangle than that of the entire wearable cuff material.

16. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of attaching mating closure means attaching a mating pair of snap or other type of non-binding closures.

17. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of forming the cuff material comprises fabricating a first side of the cuff material which is exposed with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer of a first material having a particular fashion look and fabricating a second side of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the skin of the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer of a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion is folded over the pocket, the triangular closure portion has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

18. The method of claim 17 wherein the step of forming the pocket material comprises fabricating the pocket material of a material which has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

19. The method of claim 17 wherein the step of forming the pocket material comprises fabricating the pocket material of a material which has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

20. The method of claim 13 wherein the step of forming the cuff material comprises fabricating a first side of the cuff material which is exposed with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer of a first material having a particular fashion look and fabricating a second side of the cuff material which is primarily in contact with the skin of the wearer with the wearable cuff installed on the wearer of a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material so that when the triangular closure portion is folded over the pocket, the triangular closure portion has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

21. The method of claim 20 wherein the step of forming the pocket material comprises fabricating the pocket material of a material which has a similar fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.

22. The method of claim 20 wherein the step of forming the pocket material comprises fabricating the pocket material which has a complementary fashion look to the first side of the cuff material.
